MRF Feather Flags were flying today!!

By General Posts

The sun came out for the first time – Since I got them home.

This weekend they will be going to work in Woodstock, IL. The shortest the Flags are is 12 foot, I was standing with them in two pictures just to show you all just how tall they are. (“I’m 6’5”)

They can only be printed on one side, but do bleed over, and are noticeable on the back side too.

Bought the Feather Flags at Feather Flags & Banners | 30% OFF & Free Shipping (featherflagnation.com)
Website: https://featherflagnation.com/

I know that there are other companies out there, but this is the one I picked. Four Kit’s 12 foot tall, with two ground stakes, & two hard floor stands, four plan white flags. Came to $332.66 Shipped to my door. Then I took the plan white flags to Elliott Graphix. $35.00 each for $140.00 to print them up this way. So for a grand total of $472.66 I’m ready to rock and roll.

(“If you do this too. Work with your local print shop.”)

I already have five other sets of Feather Flags, for ABATE, SALES, WELCOME, & Red, White, and Blue flags. with stands.

I’m going to make my outside MRF table stand out this summer, if inside and the ceiling is tall enough? There too!!.

Shooting for that traveling flag, Iowa!! I’m giving it my best shot, to take it away from you and bring it home to Illinois!! Yes I am!!

What do the Chicago Clubs always say? Well maybe next year? If I don’t make it this year. MOTM 2022 in Des Moines IA will tell the final story. I might even surprise myself with my numbers and State’s too!!

Ducati Line of Jackets Promises Riders a Cool Summer in Total Freedom

By General Posts

by Cristina Mircea from https://www.autoevolution.com

‘Tis the season to take your bike out of the garage and just ride. Summer means freedom on two wheels, and Ducati’s line of jackets is here to make sure you are kept cool, ventilated, comfortable, and safe on your rides.

Also CLICK HERE to Check Out 5 Ball Racing Jackets, Vests, bedroll and riding gear at 5 Ball Online Shop.

The Italian manufacturer designed a series of garments specifically for the hot season and they are available on the Ducati online shop. The three summer jackets are all equipped with CE (Conformité Européenne, or European Conformity) certified protectors and are also specially designed to house the back protector.

The most affordable jacket in the series is the Speed Air C4, priced at approximately €190 (approximately $230). This model is designed by Aldo Drudi (who also designed the Valentino Rossi helmet), in collaboration with motorcycle apparel manufacturer Spidi.

The polyester mesh jacket is light, 100 percent ventilated and the width of the waist is adjustable. The protectors on the shoulders and elbows are removable and the most vulnerable areas have double stitching. The jacket is waterproof.

The Flow C3 fabric jacket is the next available model, also a fully CE-certified model. It is light, breathable, and has a detachable lining. The jacket is both waterproof and windproof and has a hook on the back that allows it to be combined with any pants with belt loops, thus preventing the jacket from riding up on the back while you are on the bike. The Flow C3 model is priced at €259 (around $310). It comes both in a male and female version.

The most expensive summer jacket from Ducati is the Corse Tex Summer C2. This one is designed for hot and humid climates, which is why it is highly ventilated. According to Ducati, the Corse Tex Summer C2 was born from a collaboration between Italian motorcycle clothing company Dainese and motorcycle manufacturer Borgo Panigale. The jacket is light and the inner lining is windproof and removable. The Tex Summer C2 is priced at €299 (around $360).

Honda’s Summer Model is Anniversary Montesa Cota

By General Posts

by Cristina Mircea from https://www.autoevolution.com

Honda’s Two Summer Models Are an Anniversary Montesa Cota and a Rincon ATV

A Honda for every need. The Japanese automotive company recently confirmed its 2021 Montesa Cota 301RR trials bike and the 2022 FourTrax Rincon multipurpose ATV and you’ll be able to ride them this summer.

Both designed for off-road powersports, but each with its specific purpose, the new Montesa Cota 301RR, and FourTrax Rincon are designed to please all kinds of off-road enthusiasts. Honda is all about diversity, as confirmed by Brandon Wilson, Advertising & Motorcycle Sports Manager at American Honda, who claims no other manufacturer produces such a varied family of powersports vehicles.

The 2021 Montesa Cota 301RR is a tribute to the early Montesa models, and it’s a special edition meant to celebrate its 75th anniversary, with an included emblem to state it out loud. It comes with a new look, a red fuel tank, and most of the components found in Toni Bou’s Montesa, because why not get inspired by the bike of the 28-time FIM World Champion?

The 299cc four-stroke engine bike with Tech forks will be available starting this July, with a suggested retail price of approximately $11,700.

Moving on to the 2022 FourTrax Rincon ATV, the vehicle spells strength, with its rugged bodywork and steel racks. The ATV is comfortable and maintains Honda’s specific luxury look. Just like the Montesa Cota 301RR, the new Rincon also comes in red, and its three-speed automatic transmission can be shifted using the push buttons on the handlebar. According to Honda, the ATV features a liquid-cooled 675cc single-cylinder with the crankshaft aligned with the vehicle’s direction of travel, for a direct link to the rear axle.

The 2022 FourTrax Rincon will also be available starting July 2021 and has a suggested retail price of approximately $9,500.

But enough said, since a picture is worth a thousand words. We’ll let you feast your eyes on Honda’s new additions, and spread the word to your wallet.

The Sun is Out and We’re Riding

Hey,

I wish I knew what to say today. My feeble mind is packed with thoughts and new experiences since landing lock-stock and barrel in the Badlands. On Memorial Day, I rode with Woody and about 20 riders to the scene of one of the last Indian battles. We found out where the name Buffalo Chip came from, Jonathan “Buffalo Chip” White.

We rode north on the 79 past Mike Ballard’s biker home, I believe passed Sugar Bear’s Chopperville, Hoover and stopped at a magnificently built western bar.

Let’s hit the news, I’m getting hitched today and need to finish early.

Let’s ride fast and free forever,

–Bandit

Harley-Davidson Hometown Rally in Milwaukee Labor Day weekend

By General Posts

Harley-Davidson hosting a Hometown Rally in Milwaukee Labor Day weekend

by Sarah Hauer from https://www.jsonline.com/

Harley-Davidson motorcycle riders are being invited back to Milwaukee this summer for a Hometown Rally during Labor Day weekend.

Harley-Davidson, Inc. announced Wednesday it would host the Hometown Rally from Sept. 2 to 6 after stepping back from large events in Milwaukee last year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Harley-Davidson said the company’s museum at 400 W. Canal St., will serve as the central rally point with six nearby dealerships offering additional events.

The Harley-Davidson Museum will have free live concerts, food and beverage sites, stunt exhibitions and skills demonstrations across its 20-acre campus during the rally. The museum will also show off 2021 motorcycles. Born Free and V-Twin Visionary will host motorcycle showcases. The museum will be open for general admission.

“The Hometown Rally is an event no Harley-Davidson fan will want to miss,” said Jochen Zeitz, chairman, president and CEO of Harley-Davidson, in a news release. “It will be a celebration of all things Harley, a chance to re-connect with other riders who share the desire for adventure, freedom and community that is the real heart of the Harley-Davidson experience.”

Around 100,000 people attend the company’s Milwaukee events in anniversary years and the crowd is smaller in off years like this one — the company’s 118th anniversary.

Hometown Rally schedules will be finalized throughout the summer with updates at H-D.com/hometownrally.

Participating dealerships include House of Harley-Davidson in Greenfield, Milwaukee Harley-Davidson, Suburban Motors Harley-Davidson in Thiensville, Uke’s Harley-Davidson in Kenosha, West Bend Harley-Davidson and Wisconsin Harley-Davidson in Oconomowoc.

The Milwaukee Rally was one of the few events that weren’t canceled in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Local dealerships took the lead in planning the annual celebration. The motorcycle company did not host any of the Milwaukee Rally events in 2020. The company said it “relies on local health guidelines to inform our participation and protect our staff, our riders and our communities” in its announcement Wednesday.

Massive Harley-Davidson Biker Bash Happening in Milwaukee on Labor Day Weekend
by Daniel Patrascu from https://www.autoevolution.com

It’s been a hell of a year in more than one respect, one that, besides turning the world upside down, robbed us of pretty much all the things we enjoyed. For better or worse, things seem to be getting back on track, and as far as plans for the future are concerned, the enthusiasm is going through the roof. This week, it’s time for Harley-Davidson fans and riders to feel the hype of a brighter future.

That’s because the Milwaukee bike maker now has announced plans for what it calls “a celebration of all things Harley” that will be taking place in its home town on Labor Day weekend, at the beginning of September. Officially titled Hometown Rally, the (hopefully) massive event hopes to get countless people together for the first time in more than a year on the Harley grounds.

The events of the Hometown Rally will be centered around the Harley-Davidson Museum and will include six surrounding Harley-Davidson dealerships. The main attraction should be the “party of the summer,” filled with live concerts on three consecutive nights, food-and-beverage sites, stunt exhibitions, and skills demonstrations.

Harley motorcycle demos, free admission to the museum, and events and merchandise dedicated to HOG members will also be on site.

On the dealerships’ lots, those taking part will also be treated to other events and entertainment. The businesses included in the event are House of Harley-Davidson (Greenfield), Milwaukee Harley-Davidson (Milwaukee), Suburban Motors Harley-Davidson (Thiensville), Uke’s Harley-Davidson (Kenosha), West Bend Harley-Davidson (West Bend), and Wisconsin Harley-Davidson (Oconomowoc).

The full details and schedules for the Rally have not yet been finalized, but the bike maker says it should have all figured out by the end of the summer. Until then, a special webpage was created where more details will be posted over the following months.
