The Crazy Bikernet Weekly News for June 10th, 2021

Life is Nuts, So Let’s Party We are about to publish a story about the motorcycle boom during the Covid era. It’s interesting how our industry flourished when the world was shut down. I’m about to finish a Life and Times piece about our move to the Badlands. I’m hoping it will help others, who are grappling with similar decisions. It was a stressful challenge but well worth every box of crap we hauled out here. I’m working on a Cantina Episode, a few bike features, and a girls of bikernet feature. In the meantime, ride free forever! –Bandit Click Here to Read the Weekly News only on Bikernet. Join the Cantina for more – Subscribe Today. https://www.bikernet.com/pages/custom/subscription.aspx

Summer Kick-off Bikernet Weekly News for June 3, 2021

The Sun is Out and We’re Riding Hey, I wish I knew what to say today. My feeble mind is packed with thoughts and new experiences since landing lock-stock and barrel in the Badlands. On Memorial Day, I rode with Woody and about 20 riders to the scene of one of the last Indian battles. We found out where the name Buffalo Chip came from, Jonathan “Buffalo Chip” White. We rode north on the 79 past Mike Ballard’s biker home, I believe passed Sugar Bear’s Chopperville, Hoover and stopped at a magnificently built western bar. Let’s hit the news, I’m getting hitched today and need to finish early. Let’s ride fast and free forever, –Bandit Click Here to Read the Weekly News on Bikernet. Memorial Day Bikernet Weekly News for May 27th, 2021

Hey, Are things calming down or heating up. I had lots of dreams about Bonneville last night. Hopefully haul bikes will deliver the Salt Torpedo to the Badlands soon. I tell young guys that building bikes is an investment. Buying and restoring antique bikes can work out well. The adage, “All eggs in one basket,” is a good one. Ya need to diversify. But do what’s comfortable for you, but just do something goddammit. Have a hell of a Memorial Day and remember those who died for freedom. –Bandit Click Here to Read the Weekly News on Bikernet. New Beginnings Bikernet Weekly News for May 20, 2021

Hey, This is a momentous day in the Badlands. Bandit and the Redhead have escaped to the Badlands. This effort was a mixture of organization, money, stress, and perseverance. Someone said I should write a story about the move. At the time, the thought of it terrified me, but I suppose I’m getting to the point… I needed to finish the job first. I will mention one item that was paramount: Coordination. You could do us a major big favor and share the news with anyone and everyone. We work hard on the news every week and I believe it covers motorcycle related news and freedom news worldwide. You could help a lot, by grabbing the link and sharing it with the world. Hang on for more reports, and keep freedom alive, forever. –Bandit Click Here to read the Weekly News on Bikernet. New top management at Norton Motorcycles announced

from https://www.financialexpress.com TVS announces new top management at Norton Motorcycles: 2021 V4SS to launch soon. With TVS infusing multi-million-pound investments, the Solihull facility will be the most advanced and modern plant that Norton has operated out of in its 122-year-old history. TVS Motor Company (TVS), owner of The Norton Motorcycle Co Ltd (Norton), today announced that Dr Robert Hentschel has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Vittorio Urciuoli as its Chief Technical Officer (CTO) of the historic Solihull-based motorcycle brand. Hentschel and Urciuoli will take up their new positions as John Russell steps down from his role as Interim CEO. Dr Robert Hentschel joins Norton from Valmet Automotive Holding GmbH & Co KG, where he has served as Managing Director since 2017. Before that, he headed Ricardo Deutschland and Hentschel System and was also Director of Lotus Engineering. Vittorio Urciuoli’s former key roles within the global automotive industry include Director of URVI LTD, Head of Powertrain at Lotus Cars and Project Leader at Ferrari and Aprilia Racing. TVS has created a plan for Norton to transform into the future. Along with the entire TVS team, I look forward to working together with them for the revitalisation of one of the world’s most storied brands. Under John’s tenure, with investment and support from TVS, Norton has returned to a firm footing and made marked improvements to engineering and product quality, which will be seen in the updated V4SS that will be launched soon. In addition, we have established a new, state-of-the-art global design, engineering, manufacturing and sales and marketing HQ in Solihull, Sudarshan Venu, Joint Managing Director of TVS Motors, said. In January this year, Norton announced it would get back to work in full swing by March at its new facility at Solihull, Birmingham in the UK.

Update from Progressive Laconia Motorcycle Week

Come Ride in NH – Laconia Motorcycle Week, June 12th-20th, 2021 – New Hampshire – home to America’s Original Riding Rally® https://laconiamcweek.com/ Progressive Laconia Motorcycle Week® returns to the Lakes Region this June 12-20 for its 98th year. Over a quarter of a million riders are expected to attend this year after a pandemic-induced postponement to last year’s rally. The event is host to a full week of music, vendor exhibits, racing and, of course, riding. Although Motorcycle Week centers around Weirs Beach, you’ll find riders in every corner of the state, from the seacoast to the White Mountains. That’s because New Hampshire’s scenery, fresh air and accessibility are unmatched. Riders can cruise through the mountains, the state’s famed covered bridges, iconic lakes and along the seacoast, all within a matter of hours. Try that anywhere else! And unlike other events that draw such large crowds, and with that- traffic, residents and businesses embrace this uniquely New Hampshire tradition. By conservative estimates, the week-long event brings over 100 million dollars to the state’s economy each year. Restaurants, hotels, fuel & liquor sales across the state see a huge boost. It is a catalyst for countless tourism dollars, especially helpful because it occurs during the spring season, before the bustle of summer kicks in. Whether you’re a Motorcycle Week veteran or a first-time attendee, Laconia Motorcycle Week® invites you to experience the thrill of the world’s oldest motorcycle rally®. Come see history in the making as we count down to 100. Come ride in New Hampshire! Laconia Motorcycle Week® gives great appreciation to all of our sponsors, especially our Presenting Sponsors: Progressive, AMSOIL and Team Motorcycle, as well as the State of New Hampshire for their large financial support of our rally each year.
