Triumph Motorcycles has revealed the new Tiger 900. It is essentially a replacement to the Tiger 800, which will come in with an updated chassis, suspension, new design and engine which is now Euro 5 compliant. The Tiger 800 in India has appealed to the adventure biking fraternity in the country. It is among the best ADV bikes in the segment. And with this Tiger 900, Triumph aims to set the bar even higher, given the fact that it also comes in with a more powerful engine. Set for launch in India sometime later next year, the Triumph Tiger 900 gets a redesigned frame with a bolt-on sub frame, new aluminum swingarm, new LED head lamps, DRLs and a TFT screen. It also receives longer travel suspension from Showa and is expected to be lighter than the Tiger 800. Tiger 900 is narrower with a tighter fuel tank making it easier for rider to grip the motorcycle. It also receives an updated front fender, windscreen and sump guard which is made of plastic as compared to the aluminum finish seen on the current generation model. Triumph Motorcycles has also replaced the XR and XC variants of the Tiger 800 with GT and Rally models on the Tiger 900. Engine specifications on the Triumph Tiger 900 includes a new 888cc, inline, 3 cylinder engine which will comply to Euro 5 and BS6 emission standards. The Husqvarna Norden 901 Adventure Bike Is Heading To Production

You guys were really excited about it when it was unveiled, it made our top 10 of the coolest bikes showed at EICMA, and it even found a spot in director Jason’s top 5 bikes he’s most excited to see in 2020. Now, we learn that Husqvarna is moving ahead and will make the model a reality. In a press release published on Monday, Husqvarna confirmed that the Norden 901 will become a full-time member of its lineup. This will become the brand’s first adventure motorcycle—a welcome addition if you ask me. The brand’s main focus was motocross and dirtbikes for a long time. It only very recently made the jump to street bikes with the introduction of the Vitpilen and Svartpilen 401 in 2018, then the 701 in 2019. The Norden 901 will strengthen the manufacturer’s presence in the road bike segment and will become the biggest engine currently offered in the Swedish lineup. The Norden will run on an 890cc parallel-twin engine, use WP suspension components, and run on 21 and 17-inch wheels. That’s pretty much all the numbers we get for now. We don’t even get a release date. The company promises a lightweight adventure bike—”class-leading lightness”—that will also be comfortable and versatile. Nothing we haven’t heard before. 5.50! Larry “Spiderman” McBride Smashes Motorcycle Record

Larry “The Spiderman“ McBride is the most decorated Top Fuel Motorcycle racer ever with 19 championships to his credit and multiple records as well. This type of legacy is built on big moments and McBride just added another to his resume by breaking his own world record with a legendary pass in the 5.50s during the Man Cup Finals at South Georgia Motorsports Park. Recently at the Manufacturers Cup MTC Engineering Nationals at Rockingham Dragway in North Carolina McBride laid down a pavement-shredding 5.607 at 263.10 MPH to win the event. During that race, McBride reset the record multiple times before lighting the boards with the 5.607 lick. This level of performance was totally unheard of in the Top Fuel Motorcycle ranks and it made the numerous record-setting passes at one event even more impressive. After the Rockingham event, people began to wonder if McBride could push his nitro-fed machine into the 5.50s at the Man Cup Finals. McBride wasted no time answering that question taking advantage of the near-perfect conditions to run a 5.507 at 264.96 MPH. This resets his own record by a tenth and tacked on some MPH for good measure. This new record might not ever be eclipsed unless McBride does it himself again on his way to a 20th Top Fuel Motorcycle title.

Honda’s all-new superbike

The new Fireblade is a completely different beast,” says Cristian Predoi in DriveMag Riders. The CBR1000RR-R boasts an all-new, ultra short-stroke inline four-cylinder engine, which means the machine packs quite a punch, with a lot more speed and a lot more torque than its predecessor. It looks like Honda really means business with the 2020 Blade, says Jordan Gibbons in Motorcycle News – it is “gunning for all-out superbike glory”. The engine delivers an astounding 215bhp, making it more powerful than almost all its competitors. (The only exception, the 988cc Ducati Panigale V4R, sneaks ahead with 217bhp.) And clever new technology and reworked engine details means you can “rev the engine like mad and achieve the big power figures they’ve clearly been chasing for track success”. It looks like Honda “got bored of being beaten by its rivals on road and track and pulled out all the stops to create a far sharper Blade”. The new frame is designed to maximise feel for the rider. It is also far more aerodynamic, says Ben Purvis in Bennetts. “A trio of winglets hides behind the outer fairing panel on each side… The tank is shaped to let riders tuck in better, and the bellypan is more enclosed than any rival and runs right back to the rear wheel, where it’s shaped to deflect air and water away.” Honda has clearly not come to play with this version of the Fireblade. “When a Honda is named, every ‘R’ in its title means more performance.” The new model boasts an “R” more than its older sibling. Norton Motorcycles the 121 Year Old Iconic British Motorcycle is Crowdfunding on Crowdcube

Norton Motorcycles UK Ltd is seeking £1 million to help fill product pipeline orders and to continue to innovate and develop its bikes. Additionally, the company states that the offering’s objective is to give global customers and bike enthusiasts a chance to become part of the heritage company, “profiting from its continued success.” While the offering page is not yet live, you may register your interest in participating in the securities offering here. Earlier this month, Norton gave £1 million worth of shares to its employees. Norton’s current CEO Stuart Garner bought the company in 2008 with little experience in bike manufacturing but a passion from the brand, and has since kept it going expanding its line and exporting bikes around the world. Harley-Davidson has three models of electric bike going on sale next year

This time around is no different, as the company offered up the first looks at its new trio of pedal-assisted electric bikes at 2019 EICMA Motorcycle Show in Milan earlier this week. Electrek was on hand to take a closer look at the bikes, and you can check out a full gallery of images on its site. https://www.harley-davidson.com/us/en/motorcycles/future-vehicles/e-bicycles.html With the trio of electric bikes yet to have official names, we’re more interested in what Harley-Davidson’s plans are moving forward, and luckily the firm has offered up some insight in that regard. An unnamed spokesperson has noted that Harley-Davidson will be gauging the interest and demand for pedal-assisted electric bikes in coming months, with a view to launch them some time in 2020. Based on the concept models shown in Milan, it looks the company is targeting a more premium customer, with The Verge believing that a price tag around the $1000 mark is not out of the question. This makes sense considering the electric LiveWire motorbike goes for a cool $30 000 on pre-order. These bikes are not the only EVs that Harley-Davidson is working on, with the company also revealing an interesting looking e-bike concept last year, but sadly no word on whether that will go into production. It’s also unclear which regions outside of the US the firm plans to launch these upcoming electric bikes, or indeed its LiveWire. With a number of dealerships locally, there is certainly a demand for the brand, and perhaps some of its future EVs too.

Triumph Bobber TFC is powered by an updated version of the liquid-cooled 1200cc parallel twin which now makes 87 hp at 6,250 rpm and 110 Nm of torque. The TFC has received a 13 percent increase in power compared to the standard Bobber and Bobber Black which produce about 77 hp. The exhaust system has also been updated with Arrow titanium pipes and carbon fibre end caps. The second most notable change is the styling of the Triumph Bobber TFC. While the design is largely the same, it gets a new paint scheme, carbon fibre bodywork, and a short mudguard. Frame and swingarm have been black powder-coated, it gets black anodised wheels, knurled handlebar grips and billet-machined aluminium oil filler cap. The black theme continues to the Öhlins RSU spring, Öhlins forks and engine covers. The use of lighter components has led to a weight saving of about 5 kg on the 2020 Bobber TFC. Aston Martin goes from four wheels to two with AMB 001 motorcycle

Aston is launching its first motorcycle with help from another storied British firm — Brough Superior (pronounced “bruff”). Revealed at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, the bike is for track use only, and production will be limited to just 100 copies, according to Aston. An Aston press release said the partnership with Brough Superior came about because chief creative officer Marek Reichman is a motorcycle enthusiast. “This is a fascinating and very popular project for myself and my team,” Reichman said in a statement. “The opportunity to collaborate with Brough Superior has given us the chance to bring our unique views on how beauty and engineering can combine to create a highly emotive piece of vehicle design.” Reichman’s influence is visible in the AMB 001’s design. In contrast to the blunt look of Brough’s current bikes, the AMB 001 has a streamlined design, with most of the mechanical bits encased in carbon fiber bodywork. The shape of the front bodywork was designed to reference Aston Martin sports cars, but also provides aerodynamic downforce, according to Aston. Aston Martin’s cars currently use turbocharged engines, and so does the AMB-001. The bike’s turbo V-Twin produces 180 horsepower. The engine’s exhaust manifold is made from Inconel, the same heat-resistant superalloy used for the skin of the North American X-15 rocket plane. The engine is a load-bearing part of the chassis, which adds stiffness and saves weight. A six-speed gearbox transfers power to the rear wheel. The AMB 001 will be built not at an Aston Martin factory, but at Brough Superior’s factory in Toulouse, France. In Europe, the bike is priced at 108,000 euros (about $120,000 at current exchange rates).
