Another New Chinese imitation of a Sportster

from inputs by Enrico Punsalang at https://www.msn.com/ The Xiang Shuai XN650N Is An Exact Imitation of Sportster 883 It is a Harley-Daivdson in design butt without any resemblance to its performance. Sportsters have been a bestselling brand of H-D for decades. This latest clone is offered by Chinese manufacturer Xiang Shuai, a rather obscure brand which doesn’t seem to operate anywhere other than mainland China. Branded XN650N, it is an exact replica of Harley Iron 883. They did not even bother to make tiniest of differentiation. Its fuel tank, headlight, and even the engine casing look almost exactly the same. Powered by a 650cc V-twin engine which supposedly punches 53 hp. Does that mean its more powerful that the Harley-Davidson model? We doubt it at pricing and quality factors. Refer the previous Chinese imitation we reported — the Motofino Streetboy which looks like the Sportster S model https://blog.bikernet.com/knock-off-motofino-streetboy-v-maxter-300-looks-eerily-familiar/ Anyways, can you spot any difference between the Iron 883 and the XN650N ? Bajaj-Triumph Frankenstein Baby

Triumph decided to counter Royal Enfield’s might in the sub-750cc segment by attacking its homebase. They decided to tie-up with Bajaj who have successfully launched KTM and Husqvarna bikes in India. However, the last time Bajaj challenged Enfield’s cruiser segment by ridiculing Enfields as ancient clumsy elephants, they failed miserably and the viewers were disappointed with the dismal method of launching the new Bajaj long-distance bike called ‘Dominar’. Since then, the Dominar brand of Bajaj is the black sheep in the family which no one talks about and no one really wants to buy. It would be a big surprise if these two new proposed Frankenstein babies of Triumph and Bajaj can dent anything in Enfield ‘s lineup. It is forever expected to be launched ‘soon’. It missed its deadline to be showcased at EICMA where Royal Enfield shined again as a sole saviour of two-wheeled automotive segment from India. Most likely, the Bajaj-Triumph franchise / partnership will just grab the market-share away from Honda 350 and Jawa 290. Honda 350 is available at only a handful of Big Wing Dealerships. Jawa 290 has poor customer experiences for their authorised service centers. Worse still, it will dilute the great brand image that Triumph motorcycles already enjoys in India with decent sales of their models YoY. Hell, they are bigger than Polaris and surely more popular than Honda or Kawasaki with Triumph’s range of models, including classic retro styling, adventure-tourer, racing finesse, off-road ready models and more. Will there be a Royal Enfield Sherpa 650 ?

with inputs by Pratik Bhanushali from https://www.msn.com Speculated to be to be powered by the same engine as the current 650s gets spoked wheel could borrow the bodywork from the Interceptor 650 Royal Enfield may offer yet another new model called Sherpa 650. It is getting crowded at Enfield product listing with motorcycles aimed at different types of riders. This is such a big leap from just 10 to 15 years ago. The brand and the company keeps on growing and improving and challenging itself as well as its target audience. A test mule seen in the spy shots here gives a better look at the probable production model. The specifications may be very similar to 650cc trio from Royal Enfield — namely Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650, and Super Meteor 650) Sherpa 650 looks similar to the Interceptor’s unit but has suspended on USD front forks and dual rear shocks. It seems it would get off-road ready tires. Rumors suggest that Royal Enfield would likely launch the new Sherpa 650 in 2024. It’ll be positioned above the Interceptor and below the new Super Meteor in RE’s lineup. What We Know About the 2023 Harley-Davidson X350 and X350RA

by Dennis Chung from https://www.motorcycle.com Streetbike for Asia and a Riding Academy bike for the US Harley-Davidson held its big 120th anniversary reveal last week, and for the most part, the announcement included the bikes we expected, such as the Nightster Special, and the return of the Breakout with a Milwaukee-Eight 117ci engine. What we also expected to come for 2023 but was not included in the announcement were the X350 and X350RA. Still, despite not being part of the big Jan. 18 announcement, we managed to get our hands on some information confirming more details of the Chinese-built models. The X350 is the product of Harley-Davidson’s partnership with China’s Qianjiang Motors that was first announced in 2019. After some regulatory delays, the QJ-built X350 is finally close to production as a small-displacement model for Asian markets. The X350 and an X350RA variant appeared in Vehicle Information Number data submitted by QJ to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and as we recently reported, Harley-Davidson included the X350RA in its 2023 model year VIN information. Following the Jan. 18 announcement, Motorcycle.com has secured a copy of the X350RA’s official owner’s manual, plus a single image of the model, with clear proof it is intended for use for Harley-Davidson’s Riding Academy. We’ve also briefly got a look at the official parts catalog, confirming some of the differences between X350 and X350RA. The image above briefly appeared on Harley-Davidson’s Service Information Portal, showing a roadster with neutral riding ergonomics and, tellingly, bright orange bars bolted on to either side of the radiator. The owner’s manual includes an illustration of the X350RA from the rider’s perspective, and it offers another view of the radiator guards. The added protection further confirms our suspicions that the “RA” version of the X350 is intended for
