We all have so much to be thankful for this Holiday season. We have been lucky Mofo’s forever. Hell, young builders don’t even know how lucky they are to be able to score parts at a swap meet and go to work building a bike, unhampered by a myriad of government agencies. Ask some brothers in Europe, where every product must be approved by maybe not one, but a group of government agencies. There are so many folks and aspects of American life to be thankful for. Vance & Hines Reveals New Look for NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycles

Vance & Hines Reveals New Look for NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycles in Conjunction with Launch of VO2 Military Power Series Program Following yesterday’s launch of the Vance & Hines VO2 Military Power Series, the Vance & Hines NHRA race team revealed new livery on all three of their NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycles for Veteran’s Day weekend. The VO2 Military Power Series is a line of air intake products recognizing five branches of the US Military and supporting the Children of Fallen Patriots, an organization that provides educational resources to military children who have lost a parent in the line of duty. The logos of the military branches are “officially licensed” to Vance & Hines for use in this program. Today, in the first round of qualifying at the NHRA Auto Club Nationals in Pomona, California, Vance & Hines riders Angelle Sampey, Andrew Hines and Eddie Kraweic rolled out a new paint scheme honoring veterans and those serving in the US Military. The design features a dramatic take on the stars and stripes of the American flag along with the logos of the US Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard. The Auto Club Nationals are the finale of the NHRA drag racing season. The results will determine the championship in the Pro Stock Motorcycle class for 2021.

It’s Crazy It’s Wonderful The world is nuts. Did you see that Germany won’t sign the declaration to eliminate internal combustion vehicles? Yet, none of our internal combustion organizations or publications in the United States, like the AMA, Rider Magazine, SEMA, MRF, Dice Magazine, NCOM, Easyriders, NHRA, Auto Club, MIC or the NMA will even question the elimination. If they don’t motorcycles will be toast in a decade. I don’t think our Veterans fought for this. They fought for open debate. They fought for men and women to be able to stand up and question the government. Ride Fast and Free Forever and never give up. I’ll leave it at that. Champions Strut at the XDA Season Finale XDA’s fourth season has been another success with the 29th annual DME Racing Fall Nationals, crowning twelve champions at Maryland International Raceway (MDIR).  The season featured top-tier motorcycle drag racing action that can’t be seen anywhere else. AHDRA motorcycle drag racing race coverage report by Tim Hailey with photos by Mike Davis. event: AHDRA Southern Nationals when: September 17-18, 2021 where: South Carolina Motorplex, Orangeburg, South Carolina, USA From the U.S. Nationals in Indy to AHDRA’s Southern Nationals in Orangeburg, Ryan Peery is enjoying a streak like few other racers ever. Heat and humidity, cool and dry, quarter mile or South Carolina Motorplex’s eighth—Peery has mastered them all in 2021 as he wins Top Fuel Harley races one after another in multiple sanctions, including AHDRA, NHRA, and just last weekend at AMRA. Peery could be headed to multiple Top Fuel Harley championships this year, including the AHDRA all-American motorcycle drag racing series. His final round win against Dr. Jimmy “Mack” McMillan at Orangeburg on September 17-18 might have sealed the deal. Qualifying number one, Peery had the bye while running consistent 4.20’s all weekend, while McMillan had to face Bad Apple Racing’s Tracy Kile—the winner of AHDRA’s Cecil County event. “Jimmy ran some personal bests and took out Tracy,” said Peery. “He and I paired up for the final, and it looked like he was lined up a little crooked and he crossed center. Jimmy is doing a great job though. He will turn into a tough competitor with a little more seat time.” Local second generation star Armon Furr won Hawaya Racing Nitro Funnybike, beating points leader Michael Balch in the final. “I appreciate everyone that came out and participated in the event,” Furr said first off. “I hope we can try it again, maybe this time earlier in the year. XDA Racers Reach First Time Success at Bike Brawl

For the third time this year, the XDA brought the best show in motorcycle drag racing to Virginia Motorsports Park for the Inaugural Bike Brawl. The weekend featured cooler temperatures, and racers were able to show off some serious performance gains as they fought for points as the 2021 championship chase is quickly coming to an end. Orient Express Racing Pro Street Winner – Rodney Williford / Runner-up – Darion Payne Jordan Haase is back! After missing the August Bike Bash event, Haase came out of the gate hot, running a career-best 6.549 / 228.50 mph to put him in the number four qualifying spot of Orient Express Racing Pro Street. Many racers improved on their personal best in the cool September air at VMP. Improvements made were; Curtis Brown officially in the sixes with a 6.973, Ryan Bonitatis 6.676, Ricky Wood 6.700 at 226.24 mph, Darion Payne 6.488, Greg Wallace 6.500, and Rodney Williford 6.438. The Bike Bash Pro finals from August were also contested on Saturday during qualifying and delivered a first-time winner. Justin Shakir has been making ET and MPH performance gains all season and Saturday; his hard work paid off with his first Pro Street win, including stopping Rodney Williford’s 5-race winning streak. Shakir went dangerously close to red lighting in the final with a .002 light, giving him the starting line advantage over Williford’s .036 light. With these two titans side-by-side down the quarter-mile, Shakir would get to the finish line first with a 6.463 at 227.08 mph to Williford’s quick but losing 6.496 at 229.51 mph. With Shakir qualifying number one and Williford number two, there was potential for a repeat final on Sunday from these two racers. by Marilyn Stemp Kirk Taylor’s L’il Cha Cha was among the very first class of Tiny Strider Customs, a program of the Flying Piston Benefit that supports All Kids Bike – an organization that’s on a mission to teach every kid how to ride a bike as part of kindergarten PE class. Custom creations are unveiled at the Flying Piston breakfast in August at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip then auctioned at the Mecum motorcycle event in Las Vegas the following January. Proceeds fund bike-riding programs for elementary schools. Mission Accomplished at XDA’s Bike Bash

DESPITE A POOR WEATHER FORECAST, XDA racers delivered an unstoppable performance for the 3rd Annual Bike Bash at Virginia Motorsports Park. With a tropical storm off the east coast, the daily weather forecast for the Bike Bash was on a magic carpet ride. However, XDA racers WANT TO RACE and showed up ready to rock the quarter-mile. The Millers modified the schedule, and the quarter-mile was humming all weekend. The event was forty-five minutes away from completion on Sunday when a large weather cell came through to end the party prematurely. Four classes will finish their final rounds at the Bike Brawl on September 10-12, 2021 at Virginia Motorsports Park. With 561 entries, the Pro classes delivered with a very tight field of competitive racing, our sportsman racers kept the show rolling with the toughest bracket racing in the game; and the Team Money Cycles Sound Off and Custom Bike Show kept the dial turned up all weekend. Orient Express Racing Pro Street The Orient Express Racing Pro Street racers continued to improve their performance standings as Virginia delivered cooler temperatures for these 650+ horsepower machines. Justin Shakir took the number one qualifying spot on Friday night with a 6.505 before Rodney Williford knocked Shakir down a rung on Saturday with a 6.464 pass. During the Saturday qualifying session Darion Payne improved his personal best ET to a 6.652 and broke the 220mph barrier with a 221.42mph run. Curtis Brown also improved with a 7.011, and we expect to see his first six-second pass at the next race. In round one of eliminations, James Waugh poked his head into the 220mph barrier running 220.33mph and improving his ET to a 6.601 while winning over Ryan Hable.
