Pandemonium Bikernet Weekly News for June 4, 2020

By General Posts

It’s Nuts with News from all the Wheels

ANOTHER CRAZY DAY IN PARADISE—Nothing makes any sense, but there you have it. It’s all going to be so interesting as the country comes to grips with what’s going on in the streets. Do you want law and order or pandemonium?

I need to start working on new fender mounts for the Salt Torpedo. Oh, and I heard that the Sturgis Rally powers are meeting on the 15th to make the final decision on the rally.

I road tested the funky Panhead last weekend, and I’m almost finished re-editing my first book for reprint. It’s coming out again soon.

So, there you have it. Life is nut

It’s All Good…

There is no place for doom and gloom. I believe we’ve done a helluva job at containing something that could have been devastating. And you know Americans. We can do anything, and we will figure this bastard out and move on to party once more.

The controversy continues regarding Sturgis. You’ll see an interview with Woody, the boss of the Buffalo Chip, right here in the news.

NAMZ Throttle by Wire Tech Tip

By General Posts

Editor’s Note: Us old school guys need to know about this new shit. It’s not that new anymore, but what the hell, we need to know the does and don’ts and where we can find solutions. More and more I find myself helping guys with newer bikes, and I’m intrigued by the new M-8 configuration, since it slipped back in the direction of the EVO.

Here’s a quote from a builder recently who said, “Evos were capable of any horsepower we could get from a Twin Cam, but the price of modifying Twin Cams is high. Now you can get double the power of an Evo with a 117-inch M-8 and the cost isn’t so high.” He recently built a 117 from a 107 and got 145 Horsepower and 133 pounds of torque. Incredible. We hope to bring you more M-8 performance techs in the near future.

Thanks to the guys at NAMZ we can understand how the Throttle-by-Wire system works.–Bandit

The Mysterious Bikernet Weekly News for May 14, 2020

By General Posts

Some ups and downs…

I completely understand the need not to overwhelm our medical industry. And recently the Sturgis Rally discussion surfaced. One report worried that all the decision makers had solely financial cards in play and that the decision might be forced in one direction, to make money off the rally.

I said the players run the gamut from Zero tolerance control freaks to freedom riders, party animals and the money makers. I hope they can find balance. But in the end motorcycling wins. As long as we are riding, we’re safe and free. Just ride through Sturgis and keep going. Ride into the hills of the Badlands. Ride through Yosemite and Zion. Ride through Flagstaff and Monument Valley. Just Ride!

Think about it. Life can be fucked or fun, it’s up to each one of us. Find the path and follow it to Nirvana or another Redhead, both are heaven. And make sure you ride all the way…

Freedom Forever,

–Bandit

New Indian Cruz Tool Kit meets Bandit’s Dayroll

By General Posts

Tools Are Always Terrific Gifts, Especially When They Work!

Okay, as we all know tool kits are terrific presents for any biker. They are everywhere, in fact, the other day I was digging around and found a flashlight setting on a shelf. No big deal, right? This damn flashlight was six inches tall and the last two inches were devoted to tools like a massive Swiss Army knife with fold-out blades, screwdrivers, scissors, you name it.

This is a 2.0 Cruz Tool Kit designed specifically for new Polaris built Indians, which are amazing bikes.

It’s just life and it’s inspirational the Human Spirit
By Bandit, Rogue Wayfarer, Barry Green, Bob T., Sam Burns, the Redhead, Laura, Andreas, Gearhead and the rest of the crew#

Hey,

I love all the doom and gloom, the blame and the conspiracy theories. As you will see, Joe Smith sent us some damn interesting images from the Spanish Flu era in 1918 that killed 500,000. We survived to have an economic collapse in 1929. There’s never a dull moment in life. The light at the end of the tunnel is bright!

Odd Bikernet Weekly News for April 16th, 2020

By General Posts

This Is Supposed to Be Our Kick-Off to Our Roaring ’20s

Hey,

It’s been an odd week. Remember, this is supposed to be the kick-off to our Roaring ‘20s and now we’re locked down. Plus, the Governor of California said recently about opening that everything will change in the future. No more major sporting events, etc.

What about dances and parties, will we all wear masks? Tough to smoke a joint or take a shot of Jack with a mask on? WTF, over.

Here’s another odd one. This Pandemic bows well for individual transportation, like cars and motorcycles. All those folks who want us out of our cars and stuffed into electric subways or busses are going to need to rethink their plans.

Let’s hit the news and see what else floats to the surface. At the end I’ll report on all the shop projects and the kick-off to another Chance Hogan book.

Covid Alerts Bikernet Weekly News for March 19th, 2020

By General Posts

Hey,

Are we living through some strange times or what? This is one of those tests and we won’t know the answers until it’s over.

It’s sorta like a final at the Bikernet medical school. You could check Covid Measures too reactionary and costly and be wrong or visa versa. Let’s just hope at the end of the flu season, we can laugh and say it wasn’t a big deal.

Bikernet isn’t shutting down or curbing operations.

I’m working around the clock with a couple of contractors in Deadwood to dial in the Badlands Bikernet headquarters for the rally. Sin Wu and the Redhead are approving the Chinese whorehouse décor.

Dr. Hamster and Mike Stevenson delivered the Doctor’s Panhead project back to the headquarters, and I will start the finishing touches on it tomorrow to get the sheet metal to Deny for paint and prep this bike for the trip to Deadwood and the rally.

Let’s get to the news and at the end I’ll attempt to explain the other items on the Bikernet To-Do list for this year. Hang On!
