Another Movie inspired Custom Motorcycle: Only One Unit for Raffle

by Otilia Drăgan from https://www.autoevolution.com Wesley Snipes and Boom! Moto Roll Out a General Izzi-Inspired Custom Motorcycle The “No Time to Die” frenzy has proved, once again, that movies and movie characters can be a great source of inspiration for custom or limited-edition vehicles, from cars to yachts and two-wheelers. One of the latest fiction-inspired models is a motorcycle that reflects the flamboyant spirit of General Izzi. It looks like Wesley Snipes is making a grand comeback, and it was about time he did. If you haven’t heard of General Izzi, you’re missing out. He is the character that Snipes is playing in Coming 2 America, an Amazon Original comedy that premiered earlier this year. The original Coming to America movie came out over 30 years ago, starring Eddie Murphy. In the sequel, Murphy is joined by the legendary action movie star, who plays the part of General Izzi, the military leader of the fictional land of Nexdoria. Although not nearly as famous as James Bond, General Izzi was well received by the public and gained his fair share of popularity. So much so, that he inspired a motorcycle design. Boom! Moto is an Oklahoma-based distributor, specializing in 100% electric motorcycles, bicycles, and scooters. As it turns out, the company’s owner, Jeff Holley, was determined to develop an electric motorcycle based on Wesley Snipes’ character, even before the movie had been released. After the film’s debut, which ranked number one in streaming for that weekend, Holley resumed discussions with the actor, for a movie-themed motorcycle. “If you’re gonna do it, do it ‘Izzi style’ and make it go BOOM!” – this “slogan” pretty much sums up the fun, daring look of this new motorcycle. The company hasn’t revealed too many details about it, other than the fact that it’s based […]

Elvis’ Harley expected to fetch $300k at auction

by Chris Best from https://www.wkrg.com Elvis Presley, who died in 1977 at age 42, was also a motorcycle fan. A 1975 FLH 1200 Harley-Davidson that he liked to ride around his Graceland estate in Memphis carries a pre-sale estimate of $300,000 – $350,000 at a memorabilia auction in Los Angeles. Another of Presley’s bikes was sold for $800,000 in September 2019. But that’s just part of the auction. A gold and diamond “TCB” ring worn by Elvis Presley is expected to fetch more than $500,000. The ranges from rock guitars to a set of master tapes from the Woodstock festival. The Elvis Presley ring is described as the first in a series of rings with the TCB (Taking Care of Business) letters and lightning bolt motif that the singer adopted as his mantra in 1969 when he returned to performing concerts after focusing on movies. “It’s the quintessential Elvis jewelry piece,” said Brigitte Kruse, founder of GWS Auctions. Kruse said she thought the ring could fetch anything between $500,000 and $1 million at the 300-item auction on Nov. 28. Presley gave the ring, which has a total 2.25 carats of diamonds and which he designed himself, to his opening band singer J.D. Sumner in 1975. The most expensive lot could be a collection of master tapes from the 1969 Woodstock festival that sat in a producer’s storage locker for more than 10 years and have never been available for sale before. The 700 plus hours of tapes, independently valued at $1.6 million, include performances by Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, The Who and dozens more artists who took part in what is seen as a cornerstone of hippie culture. Kruse said it was difficult to estimate how much the Woodstock tapes might sell for. “There’s just nothing to compare it to,”

Cambridge Harley dealership serves celebrity client Jason Momoa

by Krista Simpson from https://kitchener.ctvnews.ca/ A Hollywood heavyweight was able to enjoy some bikes from a Harley-Davidson dealership in Cambridge last week. Jason Momoa is a star on both big and small screens, and also a fan of the open road. His love for motorcycles led him to Blackbridge Harley-Davidson. “Jason has been part of the Harley-Davidson family for quite a while now, he’s worked very closely with the motor company with some of their projects,” Erin Mitchell, with the dealership said. “It’s a pleasure to share his enthusiasm for riding.” The dealership delivered some new electric LiveWires to Momoa and his crew. The actor of “Aquaman” and “Game of Thrones” is currently filming the second season of “See” in Toronto. “It was just fortunate, a happy accident I guess,” Mitchell said. “They noticed we were open and that we had bikes for rent.” The dealership posted about the LiveWire drop-off on social media. Mitchell said Momoa showed off his bike collection and was a gracious host. “It’s always really easy to speak to any of our customers and guests who are enthusiastic about the brand,” Mitchell said. “There’s lots to talk about, there’s always your last ride, where you want to go next, what you plan on doing with your bike next and having fun on it.” The experience isn’t just for celebrities. Ana De Armas buys motorcycle for Ben Affleck

by Bang Showbiz from https://www.contactmusic.com Ana De Armas bought Ben Affleck a motorcycle for his 48th birthday at the weekend. Ana De Armas bought Ben Affleck a motorcycle for his birthday. The ‘Knives Out’ actress celebrated her boyfriend turning 48 on Saturday (15.08.20) with the BMW vehicle, which was built from scratch for the actor by WYLD Garage Co., People magazine reports. And that’s not all because the 32-year-old beauty also surprised Ben with his and hers matching helmets, in a similar shade of green to the bike. The couple were seen riding the new motorcycle together in California over the weekend. Sunday (16.08.20) marked the ‘Gone Girl’ star’s debut on Ana’s Instagram account, as she shared a black and white picture of them together. But rather than add a gushing birthday tribute, the ‘No Time To Die’ actress simply captioned the photograph with a heart emoji. Meanwhile, a source claimed earlier this year that Ana has been enjoying spending time with Ben’s kids, Violet, 14, Seraphina, 11, and Samuel, eight – as their romance has gathered pace. A source said: ”Ben and Ana are happy together and have enjoyed spending time with his family.” Ben and ex-wife Jennifer Garner are determined to make their co-parenting arrangement work for the benefit of their children. And the current dynamic is one that works well for everyone involved – including Ana, who met Ben on the set of ‘Deep Water’ in 2019. The insider explained: ”He and Jen continue to work together on co-parenting. They make it work. Everyone is in a good place.” The loved-up duo went public with their romance in March, when they went on holiday to the actress’ native Cuba and Costa Rica. And Ana has been blown away by how ”supportive” Ben has been during their relationship

Harley-Davidson and Jason Momoa Are 2 of the Things You Need to Get Through 2020

by Daniel Patrascu from https://www.autoevolution.com It’s been eight months now since this whole thing began, and even if most of us go about our daily routines pretty much as before, we are all aware things will probably never go back to the way they were. And that’s troubling, since such a change is not something our generation is equipped to handle. So everybody is trying to find an anchor of some sort, something to keep us afloat as we try to envision a way out of this. Sadly, in a sea of misinformation, disinformation and hearsay, there are not nearly as many motivational messages coming through. Not even from the celebrities who over the past years never shied away from speaking their minds about whatever the topic of the hour was. With the help of one of its most prominent riders, Harley-Davidson is trying to become one of the anchors some of us need. Jason Momoa has been tasked with producing and directing a video series under the United We Will Ride campaign umbrella showing “six Harley-Davidson riders as they navigate through the dark days of the pandemic using the power of riding to engage with their families, their communities, and themselves.” “Motorcycles have brought me places that have changed my life and around people that have molded who I am.” said in a statement Jason Momoa. “With my latest production for Harley-Davidson, I’m seeking to broadcast the beauty of riding and the spirit of the motorcycling community during this unprecedented time to encourage riders and aspiring riders to ride. Let’s Ride!” There’s a first glimpse at the series in the video attached below, narrated by Momoa himself. For some, this idea will probably be just one of those publicity stunts companies usually make while taking advantage of the hottest

Very Famous Harley-Davidson Riders You Probably Didn’t Know About

by Elena Gorgan from https://www.autoevolution.com/ Because they’re rich and famous, artists have access to some of the newest and most awesome rides, whether they’re cars, motorcycles, bikes or anything in between. Some they buy, some they get to try out and keep, as long as they can guarantee exposure to the brand. Artists and celebrities are also influencers, in that they can sway public opinion towards a certain product. Sometimes, their choices are very personal and don’t have a financial goal in sight – and this seems to be the case with the three celebrities we’re going to discuss today. Call them closeted Harley riders and you wouldn’t be completely off the mark. Given the boom in paparazzi media over the past decade and the way artists (be they actors, musicians or Internet celebrities) have been using it to further their careers, the realization that there are stars who fly under the radar comes across as strange. This allows them to harbor and feed their true passions and, for these three, those passions include riding Harley-Davidson. Jim Carrey Think of male celebrities riding Harleys (or any other motorcycle, for that matter) and images of Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Justin Timberlake, Keanu Reeves, David Beckham and Jason Momoa pop into your mind. They are, if you think about it, all men’s men: buff, tough, rough and, because of it, a perfect fit on a Hog. As it turns out, so is Jim Carrey. In the early 2000s, the comedian treated himself to a custom Harley-Davidson Road King Classic, surprising even his loyal fans with his choice. After all, Carrey is known for a lot of stuff, but being the “Harley type” isn’t exactly one of them. He’s more the goofy, silly, occasionally artsy type. Always the funny guy, though, Carrey brought

Billy Joel’s motorcycle collection vandalised

by Bang Showbiz from http://www.contactmusic.net/ Billy Joel’s beloved 12 motorcycles were trashed when a thief broke into his home over the weekend. Bill Joel’s motorcycles were trashed when a thief broke into his home over the weekend. The ‘Piano Man’ hitmaker called police on Monday (27.01.20) morning when he discovered someone had obtained access to his house in Long Island and damaged his property. Nassau County police told TMZ 12 motorcycles and a home office on the property had been vandalised and it seems that the burglars smashed through a glass door leading into the garage. It is unclear whether anything was stolen or whether Billy was at home at the time of the break-in, which took place at some point between Saturday (25.01.20) and Monday. The 70-year-old singer – who is a known bike enthusiast and even owns a nearby motorcycle story – gave a statement to police and they are currently investigating. Billy previously insisted he’ll never retire because he has the ”greatest job in the world”. Asked if he’s considered retirement, he said: ”I have the greatest job in the world. You get up there, you make a lot of noise, girls scream, and you get s**tloads of money. Are you f***ing kidding me?” But if he does decide to quit performing, the ‘Just the Way You Are’ singer already knows what he wants to happen in his final shows. He continued: ”Now, I do have an idea for a farewell tour. ”The stage is a living-room set: couch, TV, coffee table, food. And there’s bulletproof glass between me and the audience. ”Then I come out and lay down on the couch. I grab the remote and start watching TV. ”The crowd after a couple minutes goes, ‘F**k this’, and starts throwing s**t at the glass. ”I’ll

Pink and Carey Hart marked their 14th anniversary with a motorcycle ride. The loved up couple – who married on January 7, 2006 – wanted a low-key celebration to mark the occasion, and they decided to hit the road in California earlier this month to enjoy a trip together. She told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: We went on a motorcycle ride. We went to Ojai and stayed in an Airstream and it was really fun.” The pair – who share daughter Willow, eight, and son Jameson, three, together – are grateful for each other and the family they’re raising. Pink added: ”I mean, it’s fun to have a family and to be able to say, ‘Do you remember?’ or I’ll say something like, ‘I can’t believe my dad said that.’ ”And Carey will be like, ‘He said that 10 years ago.’ And I’m like, ‘He did?’ So, it’s good that he reminds me of what happens in my life.” The two lovebirds both shared romantic posts on Instagram last week to mark their anniversary, with Pink admitting their relationship ”isn’t perfect” but still showering her man with praise. She wrote: ”We’ve been at this thing a long time, babe. It isn’t perfect, but I’m grateful it’s ours. ”I love our family. Thank you for walking in front of me, beside me, and right behind me at times.” And Carey described his wife as his ”best friend”, while admitting she doesn’t like it when he says that.
