Tucker Road Show Update

Tucker Road Show Update: Training Extended Through February, Events Moved to Fall 2021 Tucker Powersports announced today that the Tucker Road Show, a dealer training program that culminates in four celebratory events for powersports dealers, has rescheduled the events for the Fall of 2021. The online training portion of the Tucker Road Show, the Virtual Road Show, is extended through the end of February, with many of the participating dealers already exceeding Tucker’s expectations for completion of the product-focused online courses. In addition, Tucker is adding several additional rewards for dealers who have aggressively engaged in online training and is also allowing dealers to earn credits toward lodging and on-track racing experiences at the Road Show events. “This change to the Road Show schedule is disappointing, as we are planning the events to be a huge ‘thank you’ to Tucker dealers,” said Brad Turner, Tucker’s VP of Sales. “Our hope is that by moving the events to Fall of this year, we’ll avoid local limitations on gatherings and encourage even more dealers to attend.” “Our dealers and our suppliers have had a tremendous response to Tucker University and our online training programs,” he continued. “We’re confident that hundreds of dealer employees completing thousands of hours of training will improve the experience of every customer who shops at a Tucker dealer this year. In that way, the Tucker Road Show has already had an impact.” The locations of the four events, Texas Motor Speedway, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Charlotte Motor Speedway and Kentucky Speedway remain the same. The exact dates are expected to be announced in the next few weeks. Featuring the most powerful portfolio of parts, accessories and apparel brands in the powersports industry, Tucker distributes top brands and offers its own brands, including Answer, Biker’s Choice, BikeMaster, Bully Locks, CoverMax, DragonFire Racing, FirstGear, ProTaper/ProTaper Sport, QuadBoss, Speed and Strength, and TwinPower.

Norton Motorcycles invests in advanced new factory headquarters

Norton Motorcycles invests in advanced new factory headquarters in Solihull

  • The Norton Motorcycle Co Ltd has moved to a new location in Solihull, West Midlands
  • The new HQ will be a permanent base for all staff and incorporates state-of-the-art design, engineering, manufacturing and quality capabilities
  • Opening of the newly fitted out factory comes after a multi-million pound investment from Norton’s new parent company, TVS Motor Company
  • Commissioning is near completion and opening is expected in Q1 2021
  • Over 50 high quality, new jobs have already been created and more are expected to follow as the business activity grows providing a welcome boost to the local economy.
  • The site in Solar Park, Solihull is the most advanced facility that Norton has ever had

The Norton Motorcycle Co Ltd has announced that the company is moving to a new headquarters. The state-of-the-art production site located in Solihull, West Midlands, will open following a multi-million pound investment by Norton’s Indian parent company, TVS Motor Company. It will be the most advanced manufacturing facility in the 122-year-old motorcycle brand’s history.

The premises will be the central hub for all of Norton operations, providing a permanent base for all staff. The new headquarters will be home to design, engineering, purchasing, sales, marketing, and support teams as well as the skilled production team that is resuming manufacture of motorcycles. Some of the specialist tooling and equipment previously used by Norton has been carried over to the new site in Solihull, but the site is benefiting from substantial new investment.

The new manufacturing facility will make use of modern-day, quality-assured production processes. Skilled technicians will deploy bespoke bike building techniques and state-of-the-art new manufacturing equipment to ensure all bikes are built with great precision and quality, a hallmark of both Norton and TVS Motor Company. Norton will resume production of the Commando Classic model at the Solihull site, building a limited quality to honour customers that had ordered and paid for a deposit on these bikes. Production of the V4SS will commence soon and the full opening of the facility is expected in Q1 2021.

Sudarshan Venu, Joint Managing Director of TVS Motors, said: “The opening of the new headquarters represents a significant step forward for Norton Motorcycles. The opening of this state-of-the-art facility will create the foundations for a sustainable long-term future of Norton. The new bikes will meet the world class standards our customers expect.

“2020 has been a tough year for the world but we are excited to be moving into our new home and we are delighted this has been created by the Norton and TVS teams in just 9 months. This new facility underpinned by strong quality processes will produce bikes truly worthy of the illustrious Norton brand and take it into the future. We are setting out to create a future for the company, our employees, our customers and our partners that lives up to the highest expectations and enable Norton to once again become the real force its history deserves.”

Andy Street, Mayor of the West Midlands, said: “The arrival of Norton’s global headquarters to Solihull is a real vote of confidence in our region as we look to recover from the pandemic. It speaks volumes to the strides the West Midlands has taken forward in recent years that Norton has chosen to come home after more than a decade based outside the region. This investment not only re-establishes our historic partnership with Norton, but will set a world-class benchmark for exceptional motorcycle manufacturing at the heart of our region, creating hundreds of jobs in the process at what is an incredibly challenging time economically.

“This investment also represents the start of an important partnership between the West Midlands and TVS Motors. With Tata-owned JLR also based in the region, the West Midlands has a good relationship with India that we are constantly looking to improve through the West Midlands India Partnership. This investment by Norton exemplifies what exactly we are trying to achieve with the partnership, and I am delighted to welcome the company back home.”

The new Norton headquarters demonstrates the continued investment by parent company, TVS Motor Company. The Norton Motorcycle Co Ltd was acquired by TVS in April 2020. TVS is committed to ensuring the long-term of Norton as a self-sufficient brand, true to its core values and heritage.

Europe FEMA news – Mandatory motorcycle inspections

by Dolf Willigers from https://www.femamotorcycling.eu/motorcycle-inspections/

‘Mandatory motorcycle inspections do not improve road safety’

There is no evidence that the technical state of motorcycles plays a significant role in accidents, but still some members of the European parliament want to periodically inspect every bike in Europe, thinking it will improve road safety.

In 2014 the Periodic Roadworthiness Tests Directive (2014/45/EU) came into force. This directive regulates the technical inspection of cars and motorcycles. As a result of the hard fight that FEMA and some of its member organizations, supported by some MEPs (Members of the European Parliament) had in 2012 and 2013, motorcycles were excluded until 2022.

In 2014 the European Parliament by a large majority voted in favour of the compromise proposal from the European Commission on a European regulation for the periodic technical inspection (PTI) of motor vehicles. This compromise included that the PTI for motorcycles was postponed until 2022. If a member state managed to find another solution to enhance the road safety for motorcyclists and reported this to the European Commission before 20 May 2017, this country would be excluded from Mandatory Periodic Technical Inspection (PTI). Three countries managed to do so: Finland, Ireland and the Netherlands. Some other countries have or will have PTI for motorcycles, but not (yet) for mopeds.

On 25 January 2021 the Transport Committee of the European Parliament discussed a report about the implementation on the road safety aspects of the Roadworthiness Package, of which the Periodic Roadworthiness Tests Directive is part. Many MEPs asked for mandatory periodic technical inspection for all powered two- and three-wheelers, although we also heard doubt about the effectivity of this measure. During the presentation of the report by rapporteur Benoît Lutgen, he himself expressed his doubts if a mandatory periodic technical inspection would be the best way to enhance motorcycle road safety.

Because FEMA has no doubts and are still of the opinion that mandatory periodical technical inspections have very little impact on road safety for motorcyclists, certainly less than other measures could have, we decided to write a letter to all members of the Transport Committee of the European Parliament. In this letter we explained why we think that the introduction of a mandatory European periodic technical inspection for all powered two- and three-wheelers is a bad idea. This letter was sent on 27 January 2021. Of course, we will keep following this issue and we will continue our fight against a mandatory European PTI for motorcycles.

‘Training of road users, behavioural aspects, infrastructure and enforcement of existing traffic rules play a much bigger role in road safety than periodical technical inspections ever will’

The periodic technical inspection of motorcycles is a very old discussion in which various parties argue that this would benefit road safety. However, not only is there no evidence that the technical state of motorcycles plays a significant role in accidents, available reports on motorcycle accidents all point in the opposite direction: the technical state of motorcycles plays only a very marginal role in accidents. Training of road users, behavioural aspects, infrastructure and enforcement of existing traffic rules play a much bigger role in road safety than periodical technical inspections ever will.

Motorcycle Riders Foundation Announces Historic First

Atlanta, Georgia – The Motorcycle Riders Foundation, based in Washington, D.C., along with ABATE of Georgia, announced a historic first with the announcement that the organization’s annual Meeting of the Minds Conference will take place in Atlanta in September this year.

“The MRF has met several times in the Southeast. However, we have never had the opportunity to meet in Atlanta, and we’re looking forward to the occasion.” MRF Conferences and Events Director, Fredric Harrell announced at the organization’s 2020 annual conference in Indianapolis in September.

“ABATE of Georgia worked to meet the MRF’s conference guidelines and we’re reaching out to our neighboring state motorcyclists’ rights organizations for participation.” Donna Nunez, ABATE of Georgia Activities Director, said when the 2021 conference was announced.

This “historic first” will bring the 2021 Annual Meeting of the Minds Conference to the JW Marriott Atlanta Buckhead Hotel, September 23-26 and will be the kick-off point for the Motorcycle Riders Foundation’s 2022 legislative agenda. Attendees are encouraged to make reservations as early as possible for this much-demanded conference.

Past keynote speakers at the annual event include, Keith “Bandit” Ball, former editor of Easyriders Magazine, Dave Zein, former Wisconsin State Senator, Paul Landers, Texas Freedom Fighter, Chopper & Slider Gilmore, Freedom Fighters & Motorcycling Safety Advocates, Mark Buckner, Former MRF President & current MRF Executive Director, among other notables who have added insight, levity and strong messages on freedom and individual rights to the MRFs annual conference. Conference agenda includes, but never limited to general sessions, 15 break-out sessions, safe riding demonstrations and awards banquet.

The first Meeting of the Minds Conference, held in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1985 witnessed barely 100 motorcyclists’ rights advocates and a very limited agenda. The Meeting of the Minds Conference has grown to over 500 participants from state motorcyclists’ rights advocacy groups in addition to representatives from Canada, the European Union, Australia and Liberia.

GOVERNMENT RELATIONS–The New Slim-Margin Congress

President Joe Biden can look ahead to working with a closely divided 117th Congress in 2021. The U.S. House of Representatives is controlled by the Democrats with a razor-thin majority, and the Senate now has 50 Republicans, 48 Democrats, and two independents who caucus with the Democrats.

“The slim margins will require bipartisanship to pass legislation and get bills signed into law,” said Scott Schloegel, senior vice president of the MIC’s Government Relations Office. “We engaged transition teams at key agencies over the past two months and look forward to working with members of the new administration once they are settled in. It is likely that government agencies will try to make more significant changes through the rule-making process, which will require close attention to our Federal Regulatory Action Notices (FRANs).”

BIKER’S CHOICE Manual Primary Chain Tensioner–This manual primary chain tensioner (and replacement shoe) is newly available from Biker’s Choice and allows manual adjustment of the primary chain for performance use.

It also helps prevent premature engine and transmission bearing failure by allowing proper chain tension of 5/8″ – 7/8″ when cold, and is said to be “perfect for use with the 34-tooth compensator eliminator – just remove the outer primary cover to check and adjust.”

It replaces the factory automatic primary chain adjuster on 2006-17 Dyna, 2007-17 Softail, 2007-2016 Touring and 2009-2016 Trike models. Due to the high-performance nature of this product, some increased primary chain noise may be experienced.

TEXAS WEATHER REPORT—Just a tad cloudy at 55 degrees, and 40 percent humidity, with just 7 mph winds.

Just because the 5-gallon bucket didn’t leak last time you used it, doesn’t mean it won’t next time! Just after you filled it up too! Appears to be at the 3-gallon level, but it’s pushed outward.

However, that led to this Exxon Valdez oil mess overnight on the floor, never mind the large foil pan I could have used and then let’s play what part of the transmission is this? So, the transmission is now car wash clean.

I figured through four speedometers, original only lasted about 23-25,000 estimating 65,000 – 70,000 on the trans. Only thing concerning is the red metal marker on the shift forks, I have and use a red metal marker.

I don’t recall ever being inside this transmission and that’s an odd thing to mark.

NEW FROM THE NMA–The Consequences of Ignoring the Law

At the urging of the late motorists’ advocate extraordinaire, Jim Walker, the NMA provided grant support for the defense of a Michigan man pulled over for driving over the speed limit in 2015. This wasn’t your typical speeding case, as illustrated by final closure earlier this month when the state Supreme Court declined to take up an appeal from prosecutors.

The facts of the case: Two Saranac officers stopped Anthony Owen for driving 43 mph in an unposted speed zone. Although Owen had not exhibited any signs of impaired driving, he was asked if he had been drinking. He acknowledged “three or four” drinks but denied driving drunk. After roadside sobriety tests, the officers wrote Owen up for suspicion of drinking and driving. During the stop, Owen volunteered that, along with a concealed carry permit, he had a registered handgun in the car. The charges included possessing a firearm while being intoxicated.

The central question of the case was whether convictions arising from traffic stops based on ignorance of traffic law should be upheld. The misunderstanding wasn’t Owen’s, but rather the officers’ who believed the village had a blanket 25 mph speed limit. The street was actually subject to a default limit of 55 mph per state statute. If the reason for traffic stop wasn’t warranted, were the subsequent DUI and firearm possession charges lawful?

In 2006, Michigan passed Public Act 85, which required municipalities to conduct speed studies to justify posted limits. Many had been set previously by local officials without any engineering justification. Years after PA 85 went into effect, several of those same localities ignored the law and kept postings artificially low. That led to situations like Saranac where enforcing a 25 mph limit was illegal without proper engineering support.

Walker testified at Owen’s original trial, noting that PA 85 required local governments to establish speed limits based on science and not some arbitrary method. He added, “It’s long past time that cities and counties can defy the law. We are supposed to be a society under the rule of law. That means the government has to follow it just as much as the citizens.”

Owen was initially exonerated in the courts, but the Ionia County prosecuting attorney successfully appealed and convicted Owen on impaired driving. The Michigan Court of Appeals later determined that the traffic stop was unlawful because of the mistaken belief that the speed limit was 25 rather than 55 mph, which effectively suppressed the evidence obtained during the Owen traffic stop. The prosecutor again appealed, resulting in the placement of the recent Fourth Amendment unreasonable-search-and-seizure case on the state Supreme Court’s docket.

The Court, by a 4-to-3 order, declined to hear the appeal, thereby upholding the Court of Appeals decision in Owen’s favor. The threat averted–for the time being anyway–is that traffic stops and convictions based on a mistaken understanding or total ignorance of the law cannot hold up. The startling fact is that the more uninformed the enforcement officer, the greater his power, and the more diminished the constitutional rights of drivers become.

The bad faith exhibited in the Owen case was not by the officers who made the traffic stop but by the Village, which subverted state law by allowing imaginary speed limits to be enforced.

WEEKLY NMA NEWS–Illinois gets ‘caution’ grade for highway safety laws

(The Center Square) – A new report highlights highway safety laws a safety group says Illinois needs to improve.

In its 2021 Roadmap of State Highway Safety Laws, Advocates for Highway and Auto Safety looked at 16 laws considered essential to traffic safety.

The organization gave every state a rating in five categories: Occupant protection, child passenger safety, teen driving, impaired driving and distracted driving.

Illinois received a “caution” grade for lack of a recommended safety laws, including a motorcycle helmet law and a booster seat law. The state received good marks for having restrictions on using cell phones, an open container law, and a rear-facing child seat requirement through the age of 2 law.

President Cathy Chase said the report is designed to spur action to implement solutions to keep motorists and road users safe and out of over-extended emergency rooms.

“During the nearly two decades we’ve been issuing the Roadmap Report, nearly 600,000 people have been killed on our nation’s roads and over 40 million have been injured,” Chase said. “This public health toll is significant, staggering and deserving of swift action and serious attention.”

Just more than 1,000 people died on Illinois roadways in 2019, and the ten year total is 9,930. The annual economic cost of motor vehicle crashes in Illinois is $10.8 million.

Illinois U.S. Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi sponsored the Safe To Drive Act, which is meant to provide resources to states to encourage people to engage in non-distracted driving.

“This is essential as we try to get the message out that it is time to put down the phone,” he said.

Eight states – Rhode Island, Washington, Delaware, Maine, Oregon, California, New York and Louisiana – received a “green” or good rating for traffic safety laws. In addition to Illinois, 29 states received a “yellow” or caution rating.

Twelve states earned a “red” rating for danger for failing to adopt the organization’s recommended laws, including neighboring Missouri. Missouri is one of just two states with only three of the organization’s optimal laws on the books, after the repeal in 2020 of its 52-year-old helmet requirement for all motorcycle riders.

QUICK, OPEN THE BANDIT’S CANTINA BAD JOKE LIBRARY–LOVE DRESS

A woman stopped by, unannounced, at her son’s house. She knocked on the door then immediately walked in.

She was shocked to see her daughter-in-law lying on the couch, totally naked. Soft music was playing, and the aroma of perfume filled the room

“What are you doing?!” she asked.

“I’m waiting for Mike to come home from work,” the daughter-in- law answered.

“But you’re naked!” the mother-in-law exclaimed.

“This is my love dress,” the daughter-in-law explained.

“Love dress? But you’re naked!”

“Mike loves me and wants me to wear this dress,” she explained.” It excites him to no end. Every time he sees me in this dress, he instantly becomes romantic and ravages me for hours on end. He can’t get enough of me”

The mother-in-law left.

When she got home, she undressed, showered, put on her best perfume, dimmed the lights, put on a romantic CD, and lay on the couch, waiting for her husband to arrive. Finally, her husband came home. He walked in and saw her lying there so provocatively

“What are you doing?” he asked.

“This is my love dress,” she whispered sensually.

“Needs ironing,” he said. “What’s for dinner?

He never heard the gunshot.

VETERANS CREED–To understand a Military Veteran you must know:

We left home as teenagers or in our early twenties for an unknown adventure.

We loved our country enough to defend it and protect it with our own lives.

We said goodbye to friends and family and everything we knew.

We learned the basics and then we were scattered in the wind to the far corners of the Earth.

We found new friends and new family.

We became brothers and sisters regardless of color, race or creed.

We had plenty of good times, and plenty of bad times.

We didn’t get enough sleep.

We picked up both good and bad habits.

We worked hard and played harder.

We didn’t earn a great wage.

We experienced the happiness of mail call and the sadness of missing important events.

We didn’t know when, or even if, we were ever going to see home again.

We grew up fast, and yet somehow, we never grew up at all.

We fought for our freedom, as well as the freedom of others.

Some of us saw actual combat, and some of us didn’t.

Some of us saw the world, and some of us didn’t.

Some of us dealt with physical warfare, most of us dealt with psychological warfare.

We have seen and experienced and dealt with things that we can’t fully describe or explain, as not all of our sacrifices were physical.

We participated in time honored ceremonies and rituals with each other, strengthening our bonds and camaraderie.

We counted on each other to get our job done and sometimes to survive it at all.

We have dealt with victory and tragedy.

We have celebrated and mourned.

We lost a few along the way.

When our adventure was over, some of us went back home, some of us started somewhere new and some of us never came home at all.

We have told amazing and hilarious stories of our exploits and adventures.

We share an unspoken bond with each other, that most people don’t experience, and few will understand.

We speak highly of our own branch of service, and poke fun at the other branches.

We know however, that, if needed, we will be there for our brothers and sisters and stand together as one, in a heartbeat.

Being a Veteran is something that had to be earned, and it can never be taken away.

It has no monetary value, but at the same time it is a priceless gift.

People see a Veteran and they thank them for their service. When we see each other, we give that little upwards head nod, or a slight smile, knowing that we have shared and experienced things that most people have not.

So, from myself to the rest of the veterans out there, I commend and thank you for all that you have done and sacrificed for your country.

Try to remember the good times and make peace with the bad times. Share your stories. But most importantly, stand tall and proud, for you have earned the right to be called a Veteran.

S&S CYCLE TO SUPPORT ROYAL ENFIELD BUILD TRAIN RACE PROGRAMS–
S&S Cycle will provide parts and support to BTR grassroots programs

Milwaukee, Wis – January 28, 2021 – Royal Enfield announced today its continued technical partnership with S&S Cycle into 2021, collaborating on projects including the BUILD TRAIN RACE (BTR) road racing and flat track programs.

Royal Enfield and S&S Cycle established a relationship in developing the FT411 and Royal Enfield’s American Flat Track program in recent years. S&S Cycle also manufactures multiple aftermarket parts and accessories for Royal Enfield motorcycles. This year, S&S Cycle will create parts to assist with the BTR road racing program, including exhausts, footpegs and triple clamps, and continued support of the BTR flat track program. S&S Cycle will also help to develop a Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 road racing package and consult on future racing opportunities in the Americas.

“S&S Cycle and Royal Enfield continue to grow our relationship through our racing programs,” said Breeann Poland, Marketing Lead for the Americas and Global Brand Manager for the Continental GT platform. “S&S Cycle is a renowned manufacturer in the performance aftermarket industry and its teams have supported our BTR flat track over the last year. Royal Enfield is excited to partner with S&S Cycle again for the road race iteration of the program, leveraging the brand’s capabilities to design, develop and manufacture some of the best performance parts in the industry.”

S&S Cycle is based in Viola, Wis, just a few hours drive from the Royal Enfield North America headquarters. Establishing itself as one of the premier V-Twin aftermarket parts manufacturers, S&S Cycle has expanded into other markets, including developing a wide range of performance parts for the Royal Enfield Twins model lineup.

“Royal Enfield is a great partner for S&S Cycle and allows us to reach a new audience of riders,” said Paul Langley, president of S&S Cycle. “The programs that Royal Enfield has developed have not only provided female motorcyclists the opportunity to get involved in racing but afforded us the chance to develop parts and accessories for the Royal Enfield Twins platform. Royal Enfield is one the global leaders in motorcycle production and getting access to the brand helps S&S Cycle as we look to expand our business.”

After the successful debut of the flat track BUILD TRAIN RACE program, Royal Enfield looks to road racing as the program continues to evolve. Seven female motorcyclists were recently announced to build, train and race with road racing prepared Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 motorcycles.

NEWS FROM THE BIKERNET MEDICAL CENTER–ASPARAGUS
A lady had been taking the full-stalk canned style asparagus that she pureed and she took 4 tablespoons in the morning and 4 tablespoons later in the day. She did this for over a month. She is on chemo pills for Stage 3 lung cancer in the pleural area and her cancer cell count went from 386 down to 125 as of this past week. Her oncologist said she does not need to see him for 3 months.

Several years ago, I had a man seeking asparagus for a friend who had cancer. He gave me a photocopied copy of an article, entitled,
`Asparagus for cancer’ printed in Cancer News Journal, December 1979.

I will share it here, just as it was shared with me:
‘I am a biochemist, and have specialized in the relation of diet to health for over 50 years. Several years ago, I learned of the discovery of Richard R. Vensal, D.D.S. that asparagus might cure cancer.
Since then, I have worked with him on his project. We have accumulated a number of favorable case histories.

Here are a few examples:

Case No. 1, A man with an almost hopeless case of Hodgkin’s disease (cancer of the lymph glands) who was completely incapacitated. Within 1 year of starting the asparagus therapy, his doctors were unable to detect any signs of cancer, and he was back on a schedule of strenuous exercise.

Case No. 2, a successful businessman 68 years old who suffered from cancer of the bladder for 16 years. After years of medical treatments, including radiation without improvement, he went on asparagus. Within 3 months, examinations revealed that his bladder tumor had disappeared and that his kidneys were normal..

Case No. 3, a man who had lung cancer. On March 5th 1971, he was put on the operating table where they found lung cancer so widely spread that it was inoperable. The surgeon sewed him up and declared his case hopeless.

On April 5th he heard about the asparagus therapy and immediately started taking it. By August, x-ray pictures revealed that all signs of the cancer had disappeared.. He is back at his regular business routine.

Case No. 4, a woman who was troubled for a number of years with skin cancer. She finally developed different skin cancers which were diagnosed by the acting specialist as advanced.

Within 3 months after starting on asparagus, her skin specialist said that her skin looked fine and no more skin lesions. This woman reported that the asparagus therapy also cured her kidney disease, which started in 1949. She had over 10 operations for kidney stones, and was receiving government disability payments for an inoperable, terminal, kidney condition. She attributes the cure of this kidney trouble entirely to the asparagus.

I was not surprised at this result, as `The elements of materia medica’, edited in 1854 by a Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, stated that asparagus was used as a popular remedy for kidney stones. He even referred to experiments, in 1739, on the power of asparagus in dissolving stones. Note the dates!

We would have other case histories but the medical establishment has interfered with our obtaining some of the records. I am therefore appealing to readers to spread this good news and help us to gather a large number of case histories that will overwhelm the medical skeptics about this unbelievably simple and natural remedy..

For the treatment, asparagus should be cooked before using, and therefore canned asparagus is just as good as fresh.

I have corresponded with the two leading canners of asparagus, Giant and Stokely, and I am satisfied that these brands contain no pesticides or preservatives..

Place the cooked asparagus in a blender and liquefy to make a puree, and store in the refrigerator. Give the patient 4 full tablespoons twice daily, morning and evening.

Patients usually show some improvement in from 2-4 weeks.. It can be diluted with water and used as a cold or hot drink. This suggested dosage is based on present experience, but certainly larger amounts can do no harm and may be needed in some cases.

As a biochemist I am convinced of the old saying that `what cures can prevent’. Based on this theory, my wife and I have been using asparagus puree as a beverage with our meals.

We take 2 tablespoons diluted in water to suit our taste with breakfast and with dinner. I take mine hot and my wife prefers hers cold.. For years we have made it a practice to have blood surveys taken as part of our regular checkups.

The last blood survey, taken by a medical doctor who specializes in the nutritional approach to health, showed substantial improvements in all categories over the last one, and we can attribute these improvements to nothing but the asparagus drink…

As a biochemist, I have made an extensive study of all aspects of cancer, and all of the proposed cures. As a result, I am convinced that asparagus fits in better with the latest theories about cancer. Asparagus contains a good supply of protein called histones, which are believed to be active in controlling cell growth. For that reason, I believe asparagus can be said to contain a substance that I call cell growth normalizer. That accounts for its action on cancer and in acting as a general body tonic.

In any event, regardless of theory, asparagus used as we suggest, is a harmless substance. The FDA cannot prevent you from using it and it may do you much good. It has been reported by the US National Cancer Institute, that asparagus is the highest tested food containing glutathione, which is considered one of the body’s most potent anticarcinogens and antioxidants.

Please spread the news… the most unselfish act one can ever do is paying forward all the kindness one has received, even to the most undeserved person.

KING OF BAGGERS— Five Rounds In 2021

The King of the Baggers debut at the WeatherTech Raceway, Laguna Seca, California, in November 2020 is considered to have been such a rousing success that it will return in 2021 – with a five-round series held in conjunction with the 2021 MotoAmerica HONOS Superbike Series.

“Naysayers be damned,” says MotoAmerica!

The series, which adds fuel to the fire of one of the oldest rivalries in motorsport, Harley-Davidson vs. Indian, will begin at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, April 30-May 2, in Braselton, Georgia, and conclude September 17-19 with the MotoAmerica season finale at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama.

In between there will be rounds at Road America in Wisconsin, back at the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in California and at the Pittsburgh International Race Complex.

While the debut of the King of the Baggers was an invitational, the 2021 series will be wide open to all qualified AMA license holders, with championship points being tallied at every round and a National Champion to be crowned at the season’s end.

“Honestly, the MotoAmerica King of the Baggers debut race at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca went better than we even dreamed of,” said race legend and MotoAmerica President Wayne Rainey.

GOVERNOR OF CALIF STARTS TO REOPEN UNDER THREATS of RECALL VOTE—But first: Newsom’s Delusional Letter to Biden

Gavin Newsom has written a letter to Joe Biden, saying he “stands ready” to “highlight” California’s “policy innovations” so they can be adopted nationally. I stand ready to highlight California’s policy failures so they can be averted nationally.

To that end, I’ve sent Biden a fact check of Newsom’s delusional letter. It begins, “In your Inaugural Address you said, ‘There is truth and there are lies.’ I am writing to correct several inaccuracies in a January 19 letter sent to you by the Governor of my State, Gavin Newsom.”

Below are a few excerpts:

Newsom writes that California is “a model for what’s possible.”

In fact, California’s own residents see it as a model that has failed:

A study this month by U-Haul ranked California “last by a wide margin” out of the 50 states in terms of migration growth.

53 percent of Californians are thinking of leaving the state.

63 percent say the American Dream is dead here.
California is “implementing progressive policy.”

In fact, California has the nation’s most regressive policy outcomes:

The highest poverty rate
Up to half the nation’s homeless
The second worst education for poor students, ahead of only Alaska.
Nearly the widest income inequality.
“We are strengthening our state by investing in California’s High Speed Rail project.”

In fact, the High-Speed Rail Project is nowhere close to operating. It is now at least 13 years behind schedule and tens of billions of dollars over budget.

“One of California’s top priorities is safely reopening our schools.”

In fact, California has the nation’s most severe school closures and just imposed new requirements that will force additional closures among the few districts that are currently open.

California is “enabling people to get back to work.”

In fact, California has had the most severe business closures and nearly the nation’s worst unemployment throughout the COVID era.

“California is doing its part to help struggling residents pay the bills.”

In fact, California’s “EDD” unemployment office is the national poster child for government failure and has stopped millions of Californians from paying the bills.

“California has charted a successful path on homelessness.”

In fact, homelessness has been increasingly rapidly in California while going down in the rest of the country.

My letter concludes: “If you are seeking a model of a ‘progressive’ government, California is not the place to look. Ours is a Capitol plagued by corruption, with devastating consequences for the people of our state.”

Join the fight to stop Newsom’s failures from going national

Well, yeah…
I recently read the Communist Manifesto (in it’s entirety). I gotta tell ya, it was an eye opener.
I glance at the local news from this computer which comes out of Memphis. There are a lot of killings… I don’t understand how some of these clowns made it past the third grade, the spelling is that bad.

Also, I remember when Dolly was a truly beautiful woman (as was Pam Anderson) before the DOCTORS…

You’re welcome

REAL ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRESS REPORT–
Three U.S. nuclear plants are set to close in 2021. They produce more electricity than all of the solar in California, and yet solar receives 250 times more in subsidies than nuclear.

President Biden and Congress must act now to keep them running.

Whenever nuclear plants are closed, electricity prices and air pollution rise.

It is for that reason that Environmental Progress and our allies are fighting to save America’s nuclear plants, and build more of them, as part of a Green Nuclear Deal.

Please consider helping our efforts by sharing the terrific article by Forbes columnist Robert Bryce, below, and making a donation to support our work!

QUICK OPEN, THE VERY BAD JOKE BANDIT’S CANTINA LIBRARY-– Lady in a Florida retirement community was sitting on a bench near a gentleman she didn’t know.

“Are you new to Happy Acres?” she asked.

“No, I’ve owned a condo here for 20 years.” he replied.

“That’s interesting,” she said. “I’ve lived here for 15 years, but I’ve never seen you before.”

He replied, “I’ve been in prison for the last 17 years.”

A little stunned, she asked “Well, what was it you had done?”

He replied, “I murdered my wife.”

After a long pause she said, “So you’re single?”

A CRASH WITH A POSTIVE OUTCOME–
Jenna Stellar crashed hard without quality gear and paid the price. Her Stellar Moto Brand gear hopes to save other ladies (and gentlemen) from the same fate. Interesting story of this lady in Thunder Press.

–Sam Burns

You hear the proverb ‘necessity is the mother of invention’ all the time, but Jenna Stellar’s case is particularly apropos.

Stellar, a Hollywood stylist and costume designer, tore up her knee badly in a motorcycle crash a few years back and spent months in recovery. But her rehab time wasn’t just spent thinking about style and wardrobe for Sunset Boulevard glitterati. While in physical therapy, Stellar rekindled a fire that’d been smoldering for years – her own women’s moto gear business, one that melded high-end style with advanced protection.

“I ended up in the hospital and was pretty torn up,” she told Thunder Press. “Later, during physical therapy, I suddenly had all this time on my hands. I was pissed I hadn’t protected myself with better gear, and there wasn’t anything good out there in women’s gear. I’d thought about starting my own company for so long, and now I had the time and motivation to do it. It was really stupid to have chosen vanity over protecting myself, and I wanted to give women better options so they didn’t have to learn this lesson the way I did.”

The result was Stellar Moto Brand, which Stellar launched three years ago – though it took about a year and a half to get the business off the ground, with much of that time was spent researching and finding the best fabric technologies to create gear that would keep women safe.

But over and above peerless protection, Stellar wanted women to have stylish gear so they didn’t need to choose between looking great and being protected.

ABATE OF WASHINGTON REPORT–Attached are two bills that ABATE has worked to get sponsored, but with only a “virtual” session, things are proceeding slowly on bills that don’t easily seem to fit into a progressive agenda. But we aren’t going to give in easily.

The first bill is HB1106, the Lane-Sharing For Safety Act sponsored by Rep. Drew McEwen (an ABATE OF Washington MEMBER). It would allow lane sharing (low-speed lane-splitting) only when traffic is flowing at 25 mph or slower.

The lane-sharing motorcycles would only be allowed a 10 mph speed differential above the flow of traffic.

The other bill is HB1254, Motorcycle Right Shoulder Riding. It would allow motorcycles to ride single file on the freeway right shoulder, using the same traffic flow and speed differentials as in HB1106. We feel that getting these bills passed would offer the motorcycling community of Washington state options to safely and legally extricate themselves from heavy traffic congestion and help to reduce overall congestion levels for all travelers.

We are also working on a bill that would allow helmet choice for riders over 18 when certain insurance requirements have been met (health insurance meeting the federal standard). However, that bill has not yet been introduced this year.

ABATE of Washington is looking to continue our successful record of getting bills passed to benefit motorcyclists in Washington. Brian Lange Legislative Affairs Officer ABATE of Washington

KEEPING THE BANDIT’S CANTINA BAD JOKE LIBRARY WIDE OPEN–If plastic water bottles are okay, but plastic bags are banned, — you might live in a nation (state) that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If you can get arrested for hunting or fishing without a license, but not for entering and remaining in the country illegally — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If you have to get your parents’ permission to go on a field trip or to take an aspirin in school, but not to get an abortion — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If you MUST show your identification to board an airplane, cash a check, buy liquor, or check out a library book and rent a video, but not to vote for who runs the government — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If the government wants to prevent stable, law-abiding citizens from owning gun magazines that hold more than ten rounds, but gives twenty F-16 fighter jets to the crazy new leaders in Egypt — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If, in the nation’s largest city, you can buy two 16-ounce sodas, but not one 24-ounce soda, because 24-ounces of a sugary drink might make you fat — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If an 80-year-old woman who is confined to a wheelchair or a three-year-old girl can be strip-searched by the TSA at the airport, but a woman in a burka or a hijab is only subject to having her neck and head searched — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If your government believes that the best way to eradicate trillions of dollars of debt is to spend trillions more — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If a seven-year-old boy can be thrown out of school for saying his teacher is “cute” but hosting a sexual exploration or diversity class in grade school is perfectly acceptable — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If hard work and success are met with higher taxes and more government regulation and intrusion while not working is rewarded with Food Stamps, WIC checks, Medicaid benefits, subsidized housing, and free cell phones — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If you pay your mortgage faithfully, denying yourself the newest big-screen TV, while your neighbor buys iPhones, time shares, a wall-sized do-it-all plasma screen TV and new cars, and the government forgives his debt when he defaults on his mortgage — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

If being stripped of your Constitutional right to defend yourself makes you more “safe” according to the government — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

WHACKY DAYS AHEAD—I need to start to throw shit away, give shit away and figure out how to load shit for moving. I looked on Uline and can buy crates from them, but they come prepared for assembly. Not sure I want to build crates, but I’m doing the research.

I might reach out to the fleet center about motorcycle pallets. My grandson told me to buy a special mask for the return flight to LA.

Getting a Boom with Harley-Davidson Stage II Audio

I have had my 2019 Harley-Davidson Street Glide for a while now, and the one thing I wanted to change was the sound of the audio.
Cruising around at city speeds the stock speaker system is not bad. But when cruising highway speeds, even all the way cranked up it, the road noise became an issue for me. I couldn’t hear the music in a quality manner.

A small fix was to raise my windshield height which helped. Since I bought the bike, I had my eye on upgrading the fairing and saddlebag lids with Harley’s flagship Stage II Boom Audio speakers and amps.

A decision that needs to be made is whether you want to go Stage I or Stage II, the system cannot be mixed. Also, if you are planning on doing this yourself, beware Radio EQ MUST be updated by Harley-Davidson Dealer BEFORE operating the Audio System. Operating the audio system prior to radio EQ update will IMMEDIATELY damage the speakers. This can be done in advance although I waited until the job was complete.

The upgrade comes with detailed instruction and I suggest you read through them before installation, which is straightforward with basic tools although easier with a short-key torx wrench.

THE MOST POWERFUL, HIGHEST TORQUE AND FASTEST ACCELERATING SPEED TRIPLE EVER.

With an all-new higher capacity 1160cc triple engine developed with insight from our Moto2™ race engine programme, the new Speed Triple 1200 RS delivers 180PS peak power at 10,750 rpm and 125NM peak torque at 9,000 rpm, giving an incredibly exhilarating ride. It’s also more responsive, it is 650rpm higher-revving, and comes with a new free-breathing intake and exhaust for a hair-raising new triple soundtrack.

All-new engine

The powertrain has been completely re-designed, with every single element engineered for increased performance and reduced mass, making the new engine significantly lighter, by 7kg. It’s more compact compared to the previous Speed Triple powertrain, despite the bigger capacity, giving the new model the perfect balance of aggression, performance and control.

Significantly higher power and torque

The engine delivers significantly higher power and torque compared to the previous generation – making this the most powerful and torque-rich Speed Triple ever – with fantastic performance and character across the entire rev range, and all of the signature “wall of torque” triple delivery, taken to a whole new level.

The engine delivers blistering new performance, with 30PS more power and a peak of 180PS at 10,750 rpm. It revs harder, with the red line now raised by 650 rpm to 11,150rpm, and maintains all of the incredible torque and character in the low and mid-range that the Speed Triple has always been renowned for, with 125 Nm peak torque at 9,000rpm, 8Nm more than the outgoing model.

Incredible power-to-weight ratio

The outstanding performance of the new 3 cylinder engine, combined with the reduced weight of the all-new Speed Triple 1200 RS, delivers the highest power-to-weight ratio in the Speed Triple’s history, over 25% greater than the previous generation, and nearly double the original 1994 Speed Triple.

The best sounding Speed Triple ever produced

Thanks to the all-new free-breathing intake and exhaust system, the new Speed Triple 1200 RS is also the best sounding Speed Triple ever produced, with a visceral intake roar and characteristic triple exhaust howl.

Thanks to 12% less powertrain inertia, the engine also picks up quicker, feels sharper, and sounds sharper still.

Optimised new clutch and gearbox

There is a new lighter weight slip and assist clutch which uses state-of-the-art friction compound to reduce the number of clutch plates, minimising mass and improving clutch feel, while maximising control during high-speed downshifting.

Combined with a completely new, and more compact, stacked 6-speed gearbox, gear changes are significantly smoother than the previous generation, with optimised ratio progression.

Performance is further enhanced by the new ignition system, with twin tip spark plugs for increased durability at high engine speeds as well as by a reduced weight of the cooling system, neatly packaged with an integrated oil circuit heat exchanger.

THE MOST AGILE, PRECISE, DYNAMIC AND RESPONSIVE HANDLING SPEED TRIPLE EVER.

10kg lighter and with an all-new lightweight chassis, all-new rider ergonomics and a more dominant and purposeful riding position, the new Speed Triple 1200 RS is nothing less than a handling revolution. Premium track specification equipment includes new Brembo Stylema® brakes, Metzeler RACETEC™ RR tyres and performance-tuned Öhlins suspension.

All of these improvements combine to deliver a new Speed Triple 1200 RS that’s been designed to feel as agile and dynamic to ride as a Street Triple RS.

All-new lightweight chassis

The all-new chassis has been designed from the ground up to deliver the lightest and best-handling Speed Triple ever, with even more agile, precise and dynamic handling, in a tighter, more toned, and mass centralised package.

With a wet weight of just 198kg, the new bike is an incredible 10kg lighter than the previous generation. It has a 17% lighter cast aluminium frame with weight distribution that is further forward and lower down.

Dominant and purposeful riding position

The new Speed Triple 1200 RS has 13mm wider handlebars, delivering a more dominant and purposeful riding position, giving better feel and control for a more predictable ride. Improvements in the ergonomics of the bike and the riding position are achieved through the new footrest position, which has been moved inwards slightly from the previous generation model, allowing improved ground clearance without compromising legroom.

Substantial improvements have also been made to the seat profile and construction, which is now more comfortable while allowing the rider to take a more natural tucked-in position for focussed riding. Seat height is a comfortable 830mm.

Premium Öhlins fully adjustable suspension

Contributing to the handling revolution of the all-new Speed Triple 1200 RS are premium track specification components fitted as standard.

The fully-adjustable Öhlins suspension both front and rear has been tuned to deliver the optimum balance of performance, comfort and control.

On the front, the Speed Triple 1200 RS has Öhlins NIX30 upside-down forks, adjustable for pre-load, rebound and compression damping, while on the rear the rider can benefit from the Öhlins TTX36 twin tube mono-shock, also adjustable for preload, rebound and compression damping.

The entire suspension package has been tuned for the bike’s lower weight, higher power and torque, and new geometry, and developed to feel just as at home on the track as it is on the road.

Fork protectors are available as accessory fit.

High-performance Brembo brakes

Incredible stopping power is provided by the new Brembo brakes on both front and rear.

On the front, the new high-performance twin Brembo Stylema® radial monobloc front callipers, with lighter 320mm front discs, ensure track-ready braking power, and on the rear a single Brembo twin-piston rear calliper enables the rider to balance the braking effort and enhances the overall control of the bike both on the road and on track.

A Brembo MCS span and ratio adjustable brake lever is available to further enhance the rider’s comfort and control.

Exceptional grip

The standard tyres fitted to the new Speed Triple 1200 RS are the high-performance Metzeler Racetec RR, which are Metzeler’s highest specification tyres approved for road use, and are capable of delivering optimum performance both on the road and on track.

Additionally, the Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SC2 tyre can be fitted to the new Speed Triple 1200 RS as a factory approved track option.

THE SMARTEST, SHARPEST AND MOST TECHNOLOGICALLY ADVANCED SPEED TRIPLE EVER.

The new 1200 RS comes equipped with a step change in Speed Triple technology, including all-new 5” TFT instruments, new Triumph Shift Assist up-and-down quickshifter, Optimised Cornering ABS, switchable Optimised Cornering Traction Control (with IMU), 5 riding modes – including Track mode, new distinctive full LED lighting, full keyless system and the My Triumph Connectivity System fitted as standard.

All-new 5” TFT instruments

The new Speed Triple 1200 RS features brand new 5” TFT instruments.

Both the TFT screen itself, as well as the user interface, are completely new, designed to provide the rider with the capability of applying more on-the-go adjustment compared to the previous generation, such as the ability to change traction control settings while riding.

Key information is clearly available for the rider, who will instantly be able to know their speed, gear and tacho thanks to the new TFT display and its new configuration, with space being created for any additional information or menus by sliding the tacho to the side as required.

The layout of the TFT screen is available in two different themes, which change the colour scheme of the display, and the new optically bonded 5-inch screen guarantees less reflection and therefore improves the image clarity in any lighting condition.

A lap timer is also included for track use.

My Triumph Connectivity System fitted as standard

The user interface on the new Speed Triple 1200 RS is further enhanced by the My Triumph Connectivity system, which is fitted as standard.

Speed Triple owners can now access turn-by-turn navigation via the free My Triumph app, GoPro control, phone control and music operation. The rider is able to control all of this through the switch cubes and will access all related information through the TFT screen.

Enhanced new Triumph Shift Assist

The technology revolution of the new Speed Triple 1200 RS includes substantial improvement in the ride-enhancing features available as standard.

A new Triumph Shift Assist up and down quickshifter is part of the standard equipment.

Ideal for spirited riding and track use, it enables clutchless up and down shifts while maintaining the throttle position, ensuring smooth, effortless and refined gear shifting both while accelerating or decelerating, thanks to its new variable position sensor, which ensures an optimised shifting position.

Optimised Cornering ABS

The new Optimised Cornering ABS system represents an additional confidence-inspiring aid to the rider of the new Speed Triple 1200 RS. The new Continental MIB-EVO ABS modular, with an integrated 6-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU) and more refined ABS control, continuously monitors roll, pitch and yaw acceleration rates, to calculate lean angle and ensure the optimum brake force for any situation.

The system is adjustable through the TFT instruments and left-hand switch cube, and offers two selectable levels of intervention, “Road” and “Track”. The “Track” settings have been tuned to be unintrusive, and virtually imperceptible during fast track riding. The ABS settings are linked to the riding modes, but can also be selected independently if the rider chooses.

The new linked braking system improves stopping distances and stability under hard braking.

Switchable Optimised Cornering Traction Control

Also facilitated by the IMU, the Speed Triple 1200 RS’s new Optimised Cornering Traction Control ensures the optimum slip rate and torque control at any lean angle, improving acceleration and control in both straight lines and when cornering.

There are 4 levels of intervention to choose from (“Rain”, “Road”, “Sport” and “Track”), plus the ability to turn traction control off completely. Again, the “Track” setting has been developed in order to maximise forward progress and minimise perceived intervention when riding hard. Traction control settings are linked to the riding modes, but can also be independently adjusted.

Enhanced front wheel lift control

The enhanced front-wheel lift control is designed to enhance rider control of the new 1160cc triple engine, without feeling intrusive to the rider, and has advanced new algorithms that continuously monitor the signals from the IMU to ensure smoother control and faster progress. The settings are linked to and optimised for each traction control mode, allowing the level of intervention to be tailored to the conditions and riding style.

5 customisable riding modes, with enhanced “Track” mode

The new Speed Triple 1200 RS features 5 distinct riding modes: Rain, Road, Sport, Track and Rider. Each riding mode adjusts the behaviour of the bike to suit the intended use. Thanks to the ride-by-wire throttle system, the throttle response is adjusted according to the selected riding mode, as well as the traction control and ABS settings.

The new enhanced “Track” mode has been specifically designed to be as unintrusive as possible in track riding, while still providing the reassurance that the electronic systems are there to help in unexpected situations.

When in wet conditions, the rider can select the “Rain” riding mode, which reduces the power down to 100PS and increases the level of intervention of the other safety features.

Riding mode adjustments are easily accessible through the switchgear while riding.

Distinctive new all-LED lighting

Safety has been further enhanced thanks to the stunning new aggressively styled lighting system on the new Speed Triple 1200 RS, which includes the new LED headlights with incredibly distinctive new daytime running light signature (market-specific), that are now brighter and whiter for enhanced visibility on the road.

The attractive new tail light is equally distinctive and has been completely redesigned with a unique signature LED design, delivering a more compact silhouette to the rear.

Self-cancelling indicators are fitted as standard.

New full keyless system

The new Speed Triple 1200 RS is also equipped, for the very first time on a Triumph, with a full keyless system, including keyless ignition and steering lock, as well as a new keyless fuel filler cap.

To ensure greater security, the keyless system can be disabled if required with the simple press of a button on the key fob.

Cruise control fitted as standard

Through the switch cubes, the rider can activate the fully adjustable cruise control, which is fitted as standard, for improved long-distance rideability.

Enhanced switch cube illumination

To complete the riding-aid features, the unique in segment backlit switch cubes now have a new more penetrative amber glow from the LEDs inside the switches, making them easier to read.

For additional rider comfort and convenience, neatly integrated internally wired heated grips and a tyre pressure monitoring system are available as accessory fit.

Lightweight new lithium-ion battery

A lithium-ion battery is fitted as standard, which is 60% lighter than the equivalent lead-acid battery, reducing the overall weight by 2.3kg.

A new accessory battery charger is available, which is suitable for both lithium-ion and conventional lead-acid batteries.

ALL-NEW MUSCULAR AND ARRESTING POISE AND PRESENCE

The new Speed Triple 1200 RS is the new definition of pure aggressive attitude, poise & style, with a muscular and arresting poise and presence, and purer, cleaner and sharper lines. Encapsulating all of the iconic Speed Triple design DNA, born from the category creating 1994 original, this new generation resets the benchmark for focussed Speed Triple attitude and style.

Compact new bodywork

The compact new premium bodywork is shaped by newly designed elements such as a carbon-fibre front mudguard, color coded belly pan and seat cowl with an interchangeable pillion seat, and a new compact tail unit.

Distinctive new lightweight wheels

The aggressive look of the new Speed Triple 1200 RS is reinforced by its new 17-inch lightweight cast aluminium, black painted V-spoke wheels.

Two striking new Speed Triple colour schemes

Two bold new paint and graphics schemes are available for the new Speed Triple customer to choose from: Sapphire Black, with red and silver graphics, or Matt Silver Ice, with black, silver and yellow graphics.

Triumph’s signature attention to detail

A host of premium finishes, including dramatic new RS graphics and a branded handlebar clamp, can be admired on the new Speed Triple and, like all Triumphs, the incredible attention to detail led to all the cables and hoses being hidden from view.

New accessories

Speed Triple 1200 RS owners can personalise their motorcycle by choosing from a range of 35 accessories, with options to improve style and detailing, technology, luggage, protection, and care.

To personalise the style and detailing of the bike, the rider can choose to fit the body-coloured flyscreen, tinted flyscreen visor, machined sports bar end mirrors, machined front and rear brake reservoirs, machined aluminium rear axle finisher and much more.

Technology can be further enhanced thanks to the range of accessories available: scrolling LED indicators and a tyre pressure monitoring system are just two examples of the possibilities available through the accessories list. The Triumph Protect+ alarm, as Triumph Track+ tracker with 24/7 monitoring are also available for added peace of mind. (Market restrictions may apply).

Accessory luggage is also available for the new Speed Triple, with matching water-resistant tank and tail bags which have a quick release mounting mechanism.

Speed Triple owners can further protect their motorcycle with frame protectors, fork protectors and tank pad, and also when parked with an all-weather cover and the accessory battery charger.

Price, service and warranty

The new Speed Triple 1200 RS will be £15,100.

Overall cost of ownership is reduced, thanks to the high 10,000 miles service interval, and the 2 years unlimited mileage warranty.

The new Speed Triple 1200 RS will be arriving at Triumph dealers from the end of February.

UNIQUELY FOCUSSED AND FIT FOR PURPOSE

Aggressive, agile and purposeful; the original Triumph Speed Triple created the performance naked category back in 1994, and coined the phrase ‘factory streetfighter’. Designed from the ground up for the road, as a naked performance street bike, the 2005 Speed Triple 1050 then reset the benchmark all over again in a competitive class of predominantly adapted track oriented sports bikes.

With the new Speed Triple 1200 RS, once again, Triumph stands almost alone in the category with a motorcycle that has been designed first and foremost as a road-focussed naked performance street bike, with all of the benefits for the rider, and none of the shortcomings inherent in track-focussed motorcycles evolved for the road, where power, torque and handling can never be fully exploited.
