At the 10th annual BUB Motorcycle Speed Trials, the Las Vegas, Nevada based Hiro Koiso Racing team seized 3 new land speed records to include 2 AMA national records – 3000-MPS-PBG class 210.646 mph*, 3000-MPS-PBG class 214.342 mph*- and a FIM world record of 214.653mph* in the 3000cc partially streamlined, force inducted class. The new world record is 22 mph above the existing record. (*Ratification pending) The highly modified 2006 Harley-Davidson DYNA is powered by a JIMS 135” Twin Cam Race engine and was modified by T-Man Performance. A total of 15 records for the team have been set at Bonneville since 2008. JIMS sponsored racer Jody Perewitz of Team J’Witz achieved her 10th land speed record at 207 mph on the salts. In September of 2011 she became the first woman to go over 200 mph on an American V-Twin. #264 is powered by a 100 ci V-Twin with JIMS cylinders, flywheel and engine cases, the supercharged bike produces over 230 HP! Bob McKay’s “Tribute Digger” should be a blast from the past for all of you who were checking out the chopper scene back in the 70s. Bikes like this were commonplace in all the bike magazines back then, all 3 or 4 of them. But for you newbies it may look like a radical design. Well it was and still is. Just weeks after settling into the new 45,000 sq ft production facility at Hasting House, located within the grounds of Donington Hall, England, Norton Motorcycles is developing and growing its export market. With the improved production facility layout, Norton says they have been able to grow production volume of its hand built motorcycles while increasing quality control procedures at all stages of production. Ensuring that volume growth has not been at the expense of quality control. The increase in volume is enabling key export markets to open and take further deliveries of pre-ordered motorcycles, the manufacturer says. We think these are cool motorcycles and can’t wait to see more of them on the road in the U.S.

  From Australia To The New Zippers Kit, THE NEWS Covers It All Hey, It’s all non-stop. We just wrapped Sturgis and Bonneville, and we are headed directly at the Love Ride, Biketoberfest, the Ultimate Builder Shows all over the country, the Cincy Dealer Show and it will be Valentines Day and we will be looking down the barrel of Daytona Bike Week. Holy shit. I’m slammed with projects for next year, so I need to take advantage of the last couple of months of this year, so I’ve got a head start on next year. I think that its been about 10 years now that I have been shooting the Las Vegas Bikefest. I still remember the day when I received a message to call Pam Schwartz about the event. Me sitting in Philly & her in San Diego… could we be further apart?
