Hey,
It’s a terrific day. I woke up thinking about the Salt Torpedo and getting it off the lift. We need to strengthen the lift. Today we need to roll it outside to kick-off the fiberglass adjustments. It’s going to be exciting.
This weekend I spent working on the Torpedo. I had to make absolutely sure the belly was fit as tight to the frame as possible and then secure it.
I also finished the railing to the roll-up door platform. Sometimes I just need to get away from all the projects and do something nuts. Our wire wheel is near the drill press. I always use tapping fluid while drilling holes to ease the cut and make the bits last.

Today, Zack and I are meeting with a guy who owns five dusty acres of land on the edge of Riverside. He has some motorcycle parts and we’re going to check it out.
Yesterday, I spoke to Jesse James. His place was hit with 7 inches of rain in four hours, amazing. His creek went from a few feet wide to 300 yards and he couldn’t get to his shop. That’s Austin, Texas.

Okay, I’ve got to suit up for the adventure in a dusty lot full of junk cars and who knows. Well, we made it back alive and with some wild shit. Let me know, if you know what the hell this puppy is.
Zack, my partner in this adventure stumbled onto a completely blown up ’29 JD right case. At first, we couldn’t figure it out. We thought it might be a left case, but I searched “The Legend Begins” and found the oddball ’29 61 or 74-inch twin cams.
I came home to a new set of Paughco 4-5-inch solid brass Paughco dogbone risers. As soon as Mike Stevenson said they save his chopper, I thought about my rough riding Panhead.
It’s the only rigid puppy I built that rides hard, and it’s the only one without dogbone risers. I’ll report as soon as I take my first ride.
I’ll report in. And hopefully have progress report on fiberglass work by Thursday.
