Between Covid and multiple mandates, the Cantina business model imploded. It was no longer about food and parties. It was all about survival. Every Monday morning the staff met to discuss how to get through the next week.

More and more young loners came to the Cantina to help or hide out. Walker’s Café on Pt. Fermin closed after almost 70 years as a coastal biker hangout. Between break-ins and anti-fossil fuel zealots Bikers were no longer allowed to ride along the scenic winding coast.

Brothers who needed cash sold extra parts in a small swap area in the Cantina garages. Some gave parts to the Cantina to sell to pay the bills, others brought stuff to sell and split with the Cantina.

Motorcycle enthusiasts gather at the Farm Show Complex for 32nd Annual Motorcycle Swap Meet & Show

HARRISBURG – Motorcyclists came out to Dauphin County for one of the largest indoor motorcycle shows on Sunday.

Jam-On Productions hosted its 32nd Annual Motorcycle Swap Meet & Show.

The event featured everything motorcycle related- like parts, apparel and vintage bikes.

Organizer, Mark Weiler, said the show brings motorcycle enthusiasts together to shop for the coming holidays.

“This is a very strong event, there’s a lot of people here. Probably getting ready for the holidays, vendors are selling so they can get some money for the holidays and people to shop to get some presents. It’s good strong meet for that time of year,” said Weiler.

Jam-On Productions holds motorcycle shows all over the country including in Maryland, Virginia, and Delaware.

Greasy Dozen Run and Balcer Motorcycle Swap Meet

Ohio is the place to be May 24th weekend

Some of our good friends are throwing a series of events later this month. We are going to them, and we think you should, too.

First up, our friends at Old Bike Barn are hosting their annual Greasy Dozen Run (get all the details here). This is a totally free event.

To start off the weekend right, there is a party in Columbus Friday night at Land Grant Brewing. Saturday there is a ride out to the Farm where there are bike games, camping, food, fires and good times. Sunday Bear from Old Bike Barn organized a ride to the next event, the Balcer Motorcycle Swap Meet.

Balcer Motorcycle Swap Meet & Drag Racing

Our friend Billy Balcer of Balcer Performance is hosting a motorcycle swap meet and drag races on Sunday, May 24th 2019 at Dragway 42 in West Salem, Ohio. The swap meet is 8am – 4pm and admission is $10. You can get all the details here (including vending information).

Lowbrow Customs will be there with a big vendor spot selling all of our scratch and dent parts as well as crusty old stuff from our personal collections. The racing will be a blast, bring your drag bike or ride on down and race your street bike head-to-head against friends and strangers! It’s a damn good time.
