Trike File Meets Mike the Trike

by DaCat Tuning the Ride with Saddlemen, Legends and Khrome Werks Since buying this 2017 M8 trike, I’ve been working on refining the ride as possible. This entailed changing the shocks to coil over Legend Revo A’s, adding a lift kit and adjusting everything as optimally as possible. Also, the front springs were removed and replaced with Legend Axio canister front suspension. The combination of the modified front and rear suspension really made the ride much, much better. The Trike File Is Now Open

Legends Suspension Systems Save the Day By DaCat Being part of the Hamsters for 30+ years and building custom bikes, I never thought of owning a Trike. One night 10 years ago, as we were admiring all the custom one-of-a-kind bikes at Sturgis, a buddy says to me, “You know what the next big thing is going to be……. Trikes”. I’m like what? And he says, “Think about it. We are all getting older.” Well guess what… I bought a Trike. Because of a major bike accident a few years ago, I’ve lost my ability to close or grip with my right hand. It’s become a major problem to hold up a heavy bagger. I decided I can’t risk this anymore with my wife on the back. Can you Ride with a Pet on your Motorcycle?

ASK A TROOPER: “Motorcycle Riding Dog” by Ryan Janke from https://kfgo.com/ Question: Can someone with a motorcycle permit have their small dog riding on the motorcycle or would that be considered a passenger? We have already purchased a helmet and leather jacket for this lucky pup! Thank you for your response. Answer: First of all, where will this dog be seated and how? I see less issues if you are talking about a motorcycle side car or a motorcycle trailer equipped with a kennel. But if you are talking about on the actual motorcycle with you, I don’t think this would be very safe for you or your pet. If you are going to carry a passenger, there are a few key items to keep in mind: Equip and Adjust Your Motorcycle: A passenger seat and footrests are required by law. Adjust tire pressure and suspension settings for the additional weight. (Do not exceed weight limitations specified in the owner’s manual.) Readjust mirrors. Passenger Preparation: Provide protective riding gear: eye protection, a DOT-approved helmet, boots, gloves, long riding pants and a high-visibility motorcycle jacket. Passengers under age 18 are required by law to wear a DOT-approved helmet. Small children are required by law to be able to reach both footrests with their feet while sitting on the passenger seat. Getting On and Off the Motorcycle: Start the engine before the passenger gets on. Squeeze the front brake while the passenger gets on or off the bike. Passengers should get off the bike before the operator. Passenger Safety Tips: Hold operator’s waist or hips, or motorcycle’s passenger hand-holds. Keep feet on footrests at all times, including while stopped. Keep hands and feet away from hot or moving parts. When turning, look over the operator’s shoulder in the direction of the turn.

Road Glide Ultra Trimming

Bassani Exhaust, Legends Suspension, and V&H Fuelpak by Johnny White My 2016 Road Glide Ultra FLTRU has been a reliable ride that has endured 70,000 miles without any major issues. One of the first things a guy wants to change is the sound – as a new Harley sounds great until you hear it next to one with a tuned exhaust system. The change now vs. days of old is it’s no longer change your pipes and re-jet the carb. Now, with electronic fuel injection, ‘void warranty’ and emission controls, it can seem a bit daunting if you don’t know where to look. Well, it’s easier today than most realize and it doesn’t require a ton of time, knowledge, or money … well, it does require some money. Honda Rebel 500 & 1100 Cruiser 2022 Debuts

from https://www.rushlane.com/ by Arun Prakash Honda presently has three models in the Rebel range of cruisers- Rebel 250, Rebel 500 and Rebel 1100 Honda has updated its cruise lineup for 2022 specifically for Rebel 500 and Rebel 1100 in European markets. Both motorcycles offer a typical cruiser experience to riders with their signature old-school design and ergonomics. About a month ago, Honda reinvented the entry-level Rebel 300 in a down-sized version as Rebel 250. 2022 Honda Rebel 500 Colour Options The Japanese bikemaker has introduced new colour options for Rebel 500 and Rebel 1100. Honda is offering a new paint scheme called Pearl Organic Green in Rebel 500. This option will be available alongside the current paint schemes on offer namely Graphite Black, Mat Axis Gray and Matte Jeans Blue Metallic. The latest addition to the colour palette is a stark contrast to dark and stealthy shades currently available for Rebel 500. On the other hand, Rebel 1100 sees the addition of a flashy new colour called Pearl Stallion Brown. The paint scheme also benefits from the blacked-out components lending the motorcycle a sporty dual-tone appeal. Rebel 500- Specs Apart from the added colour options, there have been no changes made in either of the cruiser bikes in terms of mechanicals or features. Rebel 500 is powered by a 471cc parallel-twin motor that also propels CB500X and CB500R. This unit pushes out 47 bhp at 8500rpm and a peak torque of 44.6Nm at 6000rpm. This engine is paired with a 6-speed transmission via a slip-assist clutch. The motorcycle rides on 16-inch front and rear wheels that are shod with fat 130-section front and 150-section rear rubber respectively.
