The MRF Salutes Our Veterans

We at the Motorcycle Riders Foundation wish all veterans a Happy Veterans Day. Thank you for your service in defense of our freedoms and liberties. We as motorcyclists are fortunate that so many of our fellow riders are veterans. You make not only our country, but our motorcycling community stronger. “Honor to the soldier and sailor everywhere, who bravely bears his country’s cause. Feuling Vented Dipstick

by Rogue Easy to Install, Works Well Feuling Billet Dipsticks are made In America and they vent excessive crankcase pressure from the oil tank on Harley Touring Models through a PCV style breather. Blow-by is pressure that is forced past the rings and cylinder walls and ends up in the crankcase and then into the oil tank. All internal combustion engines have a certain amount of crankcase pressure and it does increase with miles. The Vented Dipstick is easy to install, but I still suggest reading the sheet of instructions that come with it before starting installing this product. Another H-D Recall: Nearly 200,000 Harley Touring Models

On 21-October-2022, Bikernet Blog updated the fans of the Motorcycle Company  about handlebar recalls on Nightster models. Now another recall is revealed. Click to see previous handlebar post. by Janaki Jitchotvisut from https://www.rideapart.com Nearly 200,000 Harley Touring Models Could Have Brake Light Issue On affected bikes and trikes, rear brake lights could light up even when riders are not braking. On October 21, 2022, Harley-Davidson issued a safety recall for 199,419 different 2019 through 2022 Trike and CVO Trike and 2020 through 2022 Touring and CVO Touring motorcycles. The fault involves a software issue that determines when the rear brake lights on these bikes are illuminated. In certain cases, the rear brake lights may stay lit up even if the rider has not activated the brakes and is not braking at that time. This condition could cause vehicles following those bikes to misjudge when a bike in front of them is actually braking, thus increasing the risk of a crash. A total of 31,572 2019 through 2022 Trike and CVO Trikes with VINS ranging between 1HD1MAF14KB850024 and 1HD1MCP19NB854018 (not sequential), manufactured between the dates of July 6, 2018 and June 23, 2022, are involved in this recall. MotoGP 22 Game Review: its the season for living-room-speed

by Silvian Secara from https://www.autoevolution.com Purposeful Refinements, Better Graphics and an All-New Game Mode (PC) You’ll find that it can feel way more accessible to beginners while simultaneously catering to a more sim-focused crowd. The ongoing MotoGP season has been an absolute blast so far, with each race offering plenty of entertainment for motorsport fans to enjoy. We’ve seen fantastic performances as well as embarrassing mistakes from riders like Aleix Espargaró, Francesco Bagnaia, and the reigning world champion Fabio Quartararo, whose DNF in Assen is sure to spice up the title challenge after the summer break. Since we’re currently waiting for the action to restart at Silverstone on August 7, it’s a perfect time to discuss the newest installment of Milestone’s officially-licensed videogame franchise. Just like its predecessor, MotoGP 22 hasn’t managed to butter everyone’s toast, and a common complaint you’ll hear people make is related to the lack of any major improvements over last year’s title. In all fairness, the game isn’t considerably better than its 2021 counterpart, but subtle tweaks and baby steps are what we’ve come to expect from annual sporting releases of this sort. Nonetheless, it is a shame the developers haven’t taken the opportunity to make the career mode more interesting, nor did they add the dynamic weather feature that people were hoping for. As far as graphics are concerned, substantial steps have been taken to refine the overall look of textures, liveries, and, most notably, riders’ faces. Whereas the previous MotoGP was rather awful as regards the latter, I was pleased to find that facial models are vastly improved this time around. Credit where credit is due; this year’s GP racing sim from Milestone Interactive offers the best visual experience of the whole series! Click & Follow the Bikernet Blog Weekly Newsletter for

Elect to take a stand

Tomorrow’s Outcomes Hinge on Today’s Actions In contrast to the last century, ‘Roaring’ is not likely to be how the current ‘20s are remembered. The Jazz Age’s nostalgic “carefree” stereotype offers little similarity to the present. Amidst all the uncertainty, one thing is clear: politics are everywhere, like it or not. With all this in mind, big issues are on the table that are ripe with controversy. Decisions on electric vehicles (EVs), automotive fuel supply, and one’s own ‘right to modify’ will make a direct impact on our community and the final results are likely to be consequential. With so much at stake, enthusiast participation in the political process is crucial—but not difficult. Nearly 7,000 state and federal elected positions are up for grabs in November. Notably, 84% of all state lawmakers will be in the running—marking their first race since redistricting has shifted constituencies. Party control of the U.S. Congress and state legislatures will be determined in the upcoming elections. Use the voting tool at semaSAN.com/semavotes to register to vote and learn the deadlines for where you live. In advance, find out if your state and federal representatives are affiliated with the hobby-friendly, SEMA-supported caucuses at semaSAN.com/statecaucus and semaSAN.com/federalcaucus. You can locate your elected officials at semaSAN.com under the “Legislators” tab. Ready to influence our nation’s public policy roadmap going forward? Good news: the ballot box awaits! This year, head to your polling place with renewed purpose. Learn where your candidates are on issues important to you. Then ensure your voice is heard via your vote. No better way to weigh-in and make sure this important opportunity counts. Take care of fulfilling your civic duty just like your prized ride—with pride in ownership! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
