Salt Torpedo Races at Bonneville in 2024

Chapter 28: The Final 2024 Report Or Salt Torpedo Early next morning we attempted to set up our pit area with the Buell Brothers, but then the wind returned. “The sun can kill you,” Drew from the Buell brothers shouted, but then removed his canopy as the wind swept across the vast 60 square miles of salt. Under the FIM, the AMA, the BMST and Streamliner separate rule books we attempted over and over to acknowledge, understand and implement said rules. We consulted with Drew Gatewood a former official when shit didn’t make sense. One of the most terrifying aspects of Bonneville racing is passing scrutineering on the first day. The entire week depends on passing and being able to race on the sacred salt. We waited in line for hours, and when it was our turn special, certified, FIM, streamliner officials were called under the wind-whipped canopy to inspect the decade-old endeavor with magnifying glasses, clipboards, testing instruments, markers, flashlights scornful faces and glistening authoritarian badges. –Bandit Click Here to read this incredible adventure of riders determined to build, race, succeed and revive this industry * * *

The Post Bonneville Bikernet Weekly News for August 29, 2024

Hey, We rolled in from Bonneville yesterday afternoon, an easy five hours with three drivers covering about 125 miles apiece. The Salt Torpedo set a record with a top speed of 144.888 the first day of racing. The next day we sailed through the lights on a rutted track at over 150.  Our team at 57, 75, 76 and 77 will be a year older next year and the years are starting to weigh heavily on performance whether we like it or not. The trike definitely needs a younger crew. We are also looking at completing the 45 cubic inch Bonne Belle and taking it to the salt next year, maybe. We ran across some guys who built two magnificent 45 flatheads, so the competition is stiff and we lost years of testing on the salt. –Bandit Roll into this week’s news—only on Bikernet.com by clicking here * * * Get There Faster, Click Here & Get the Bikernet.com Free Weekly Newsletter

Let me know if you have any questions. And of course we’re looking for sponsors to support this effort. Just recently, Terry components helped with one of the items on our list, battery shut-off cables and jumper cables. I’m working on the trailer today. –Bandit * * * * https://5-ballgarage.com/

A Breakthrough Top-Five Finish for Monster Energy rider Chris Blose

A Breakthrough Top-Five Finish for Monster Energy®/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider Chris Blose Foothill Ranch, Calif. (March 19, 2023) – The Motown music echoed through snowy streets as Monster Energy® Supercross raced into the Motor City for Detroit SX, Round 10 of the Monster Energy Supercross Championship. In the 250SX Class, Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider Chris Blose led the Team Green® charge with his first top-five result of the season. In the 450SX Class, Adam Cianciarulo led laps early in the Main Event until mid-race adversity relegated him and his Monster Energy Kawasaki teammate Jason Anderson to eighth and ninth place at the checkered flag. The opening laps of the first free practice session revealed that the Detroit SX track was set to give the top riders in the world all they could handle. The sharp whoop section and abundance of tight switchback turns proved further complicated by the unique terrain of deep ruts and a hard packed base layer. Blose was quick to assert his competence in the whoops as he mastered the most challenging section of the track and began to rival near the top of the leaderboard. In the final qualification session, Blose executed the track with precision and strung together several race simulated laps to log the seventh fastest lap time of the morning (53.393). At the start of 250SX Heat 2, Blose emerged from the first turn in fifth with his sight set forward until an early-race mistake shuffled him back to eighth place. Blose regrouped by the end of Lap 2 and began to work his way up the running order. With superior whoop speed and consistent laps, the No.57 Kawasaki KX™250 rider overtook his rivals in rapid succession. Blose advanced through the field to challenge for fourth on the final lap before securing a fifth-place
