Lewis bested the AFT Production Twins field in dominating fashion. Milwaukee, Wis (Tuesday, June 29, 2021) – Round seven of the 2021 Progressive American Flat Track Championship proved to be a historic moment for Royal Enfield, as Johnny Lewis and the Moto Anatomy x Royal Enfield Team were the class of the field on Saturday evening at the Allen County Fairgrounds in Lima, Ohio. The win marked the team’s first victory since the Daytona I Short Track, and the first-ever Half-Mile win for Royal Enfield and the Moto Anatomy x Royal Enfield Team. “This weekend gave us the opportunity to showcase what the Royal Enfield Twins FT is capable of,” said Moto Anatomy x Royal Enfield rider Johnny Lewis. “The team has been working extremely hard every time out to improve the motorcycle and this result reflects all the effort we’ve put into the program. We couldn’t be happier with this achievement. Thank you to Royal Enfield, the team and all our supporters for backing us.” Lewis got out to a decent start in the main event but had to work his way into the lead, which took him less than a minute to do. From there, Lewis simply dominated the field, leaving the competition to battle over second as he stretched his lead. A red flag (due to a downed rider) with less than two minutes remaining prompted a restart, and once again Lewis had to make some passes to get out front, but he simply powered his Royal Enfield Twins FT around the outside, reclaiming the lead and taking the checkered flag. 98th Loudon Classic a Great Success

LOUDON, NH, UNITED STATES – The 98th Annual Loudon Classic weekend by Mayhew Tools featured three days of perfect weather, fans from all over New England and racing with the NorthEast Motorcycle Road Racing (NEMRR) series. NEMRR is part of the national Championship Cup Series organization and riders from the Northeast, Atlantic and Mid-Atlantic regions competed in a twin sprint weekend that ran an impressive 45 races in total. The feature events of the weekend were the three Grand Prix classes, which boasted $9500 in purse money in total. Specialty Saw presented the Seacoast Sport Cycle Lightweight Grand Prix class and the Street and Competition Unlimited Grand Prix classes. Mayhew Tools was the title sponsor of the featured Loudon Classic Middleweight Grand Prix class together with presenting sponsors Motorace and New Hampshire Motor Speedway. In the twin sprint format the lap times from the Friday races were used to set the grid for the Saturday main events, and the Friday Motorace Middleweight Grand Prix race featured a $1500 purse. Saturday’s feature races were held in front of a fantastic crowd and led off with the two support classes presented by Specialty Saw, Lightweight GP and Unlimited GP. First off were the small displacement machines and NEMRR #1 rider Rick Doucette of Sandown, NH showed why he was the heavy favorite, scoring the holeshot and running a string of blazing fast laps in the 1:14 and 1:15 range on his special de-stroked Yamaha R5. The surprise of the day came from Eli Block riding a strong running KTM 450 motard bike who challenged Doucette right to the very end. There’s a good chance the name White Motorcycle Concepts (WMC) doesn’t ring any bells. Don’t worry, that will probably change as soon as next year, provided the company achieves its goal of setting a land speed record for electric motorcycles. WMC is a British engineering company set up not long ago by British Formula One engineer Rob White. Its goal is to advance the adoption of electric drivetrains in the motorcycle industry not by coming up with some incredible battery or electric motor but by devising new aerodynamic tech that should better use the available power. The tech in question, called V-Air, was inspired by the cars taking part in Formula 1 or Le Mans. It consists of a large duct at the center of the bike, in essence, a big hole running through it, designed to force air through the two-wheeler and not around it. This, says WMC, reduces aerodynamic resistance by as much as 70 percent compared to an unnamed “market-leading high performance road bike.” V-Air is backed in the demonstrator motorcycle, called WMC250EV and unveiled on Wednesday, June 23, by a motor driving the front wheel and coupled to a regenerative braking system. There’s an additional final drive system on the bike, one that, according to the company, will not only boost power and enhance efficiency but could also be easily adapted for existing motorcycles. The demonstrator will be put through its paces starting later this year, with White himself planning to mount the bike and race it around. The whole scheme of Six Ways to Sunday is campaigning one motorcycle in six different kinds of racing. In itself, this is a recipe for being uncomfortable, and I nominated myself to do it. How bad could it really be? Coffee and pancakes gave us the will to live, and we headed back to the track to dry out the bikes for tech inspection. Bowen would ride my 1988 Honda XR200R in the same events in which I would be competing with the super-fresh ’89 Honda XR250R. The ninth annual American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association Vintage Motorcycle Festival & Swap Meet, featuring vintage motorcycle racing on-track, a swap meet off-track, Friday night Bike Night, Saturday bike show, music and more, will be held June 18 to 20, rain or shine, at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville. Tickets are $25 for a weekend pass, $20 for Saturday only or $10 for Sunday only for ages 13 and older and free for ages 12 and younger. Besides AHRMA racing and festivities, this weekend will feature the first night of NJMP’s Summer Concert Series. Arsenal will perform in the outdoor event space behind the Finish Line Pub from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. June 19. Food will be available from the pub and food trucks and vendors will be on site. 98th Annual Loudon Classic set for June 18-20, 2021

The 98th Annual Loudon Classic weekend by Mayhew Tools will feature three days of racing with the NorthEast Motorcycle Road Racing NEMRR) series from June 18-20. NEMRR is the premier motorcycle racing organization in the Northeast and is sanctioned by CCS, the largest club racing organization in the US with over 3,000 licensed racers who compete in 6 regional championships. The 2021 Loudon Classic event pays championship points in three CCS regions and as such riders will be attending from all up and down the east coast to compete in 30 separate race classes over the three days. The competition should be fierce! New Hampshire Motor Speedway https://www.nhms.com/ Racing will start at 10:20 AM each day and run until about 5PM. The feature races of the weekend will be held on Saturday from 1:30-3:30PM and are presented by Specialty Saw. Over $8500 in purse money is up for grabs in these feature events. First up will be the Seacoast Sport Cycle Lightweight Grand Prix, featuring smaller displacement motorcycles who utilize high corner speed and late braking to generate fast lap times. Next will be the Street and Competition Unlimited Grand Prix class which showcases the fastest motorcycles in the NEMRR paddock, reaching speeds in excess of 150mph down the 1200 foot front straight of New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The highlight of the weekend is the Loudon Classic by Mayhew Tools, which is presented in 2021 by Motorace and NHMS. Expect a field of 30 or more middleweight machines to battle wheel to wheel for 20 laps in a contest of speed, skill and tire management. At Laconia – We Ride! The origin of Laconia Motorcycle Week was a small group of motorcycle enthusiasts gathering for a “gypsy tour” to Laconia, over 98 years ago. Today, the spirit of Progressive Laconia Motorcycle Week® continues with rides and gypsy tours at the center of an already packed events schedule. Join us for at least one of our many Motorcycle Week rides, where you’ll enjoy the spectacular NH scenery while also raising money for some worthy causes. The 15th Annual Peter Makris Memorial Ride to NHMS kicks off the week on Saturday, June 12th at 11am.
