It’s Thanksgiving again and wow, what a year.

I want to give thanks to all the riders all over the country who come to Bikernet. I want to give thanks to all the brothers and sisters who help contribute or help with the production and content in Bikernet. We have almost 27 years of content built into one stinking website.

I want to give thanks to all the girls I’ve loved before, and my family who seem to have found their creative path to success and happiness in a troubled world.

The human spirit is amazing. We can find happiness, peace and Nirvana under any conditions. Okay, enjoy the games, family, and take a minute to be thankful for living in the best of times, sorta.

Saddlebag Guard Rail Kit

Protecting your Harley-Davidson 2022 Saddlebags.

I for one like saddlebag guards on my motorcycle. I recently got a 2022 Harley Ultra Limited and it did not have side guards on the bags as standard equipment.

I decided to rectify that by installing Harley’s kit Part Number 90201902.

These Guards surround and protect the lower portion while providing a traditional look for Touring Motorcycles.

Wow, exciting times. The elections, the winter and new projects. And already it’s Veterans Day. I’m hoping to hit a couple of events and Rapid City is rumored to have a colorful Veterans Day Parade. I’m a Vietnam vet and want to thank all the Veteran brothers and sisters for their service. Thank you!

Frankie is in the design mode and created new T-shirts for his site. I pointed out that he missed an element with the art that includes me.

Watch out. Christmas is coming and Santa’s watching.

Feuling Vented Dipstick

Easy to Install, Works Well

Feuling Billet Dipsticks are made In America and they vent excessive crankcase pressure from the oil tank on Harley Touring Models through a PCV style breather.

Blow-by is pressure that is forced past the rings and cylinder walls and ends up in the crankcase and then into the oil tank. All internal combustion engines have a certain amount of crankcase pressure and it does increase with miles.

The Vented Dipstick is easy to install, but I still suggest reading the sheet of instructions that come with it before starting installing this product.

Hang on, the news is full of surprises. I’ve talked to industry leaders and plenty of voices from the past this week. We mentioned the Mystery Sled published in ER in the ‘70s. It was photographed for the feature by Jake.

Getting ready to kick off my next build with those cast iron levers as the controls and pegs. The antique foot warmer for an oil bag and Irish Rich already set up the old Peanut tank on the VL frame. Hang on for the first report.

I spoke to the factory this week about the history and design of gas tanks. Hang on for that story and it’s almost Halloween, so let’s hit the news.
