Thanking Our Veterans

By General Posts No Comments

Thank you to those who have served.

Today we honor the men and women who have served in our U.S. armed forces. On Veterans Day and every day, we are enormously grateful for the sacrifices they and their families have made to protect America.

Too many of those who made this sacrifice are struggling with homelessness, worrying about their next meal, and suffering with disabilities. At Harbor Freight, we believe strongly in supporting organizations that care for American veterans and their families in their time of need. That’s why Harbor Freight Tools Foundation, LLC continues to support the important work of U.S. VETS, the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans, and The Mission Continues. Harbor Freight also provides in-kind support for hundreds of veteran-serving organizations’ local projects in communities across the country each year, and our Associates also participate in activities that benefit veterans and their families.

We are so proud of the many veterans who are members of our Harbor Freight family and that Newsweek Magazine has recognized Harbor Freight as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Veterans.

Please join me in honoring all veterans and thanking them for their service to our country.

Sincerely,
Eric Smidt

It’s non-stop from LA to Sturgis to Bonneville, Deadwood, Bikes and Books…
by Bandit

The shop was finished and we experienced our first real winter in the Black Hills. The redhead slid off the driveway in her Subaru and it took two pickups, chains and an excavator to pull her back onto the concrete, and we don’t live on a hill…

This has been a tremendously meaningful year. Wild accomplishments, projects, violence, setbacks, death and creative inspirations. I feel so incredibly blessed to have this experience in the Black Hills.

I was working on my third Knucklehead chopper tech, and something dawned on me. I just turned 75 and beheld all the cool stuff I can do this year. I can build a modern S&S Knucklehead in a modified vintage frame with an old stock XA front end, including old and new parts. Then I can build a 1913 H-D board-track racer, because vintage shit is being manufactured all over the world. I can write another book, go to Bonneville with the Salt Torpedo, build metal art, work on my home in Sturgis, drive a lowered ’58 Chevy, learn the history of South Dakota and write cool articles on Bikernet every day! What could be better…

Operation Gratitude: Honoring Our Veterans Today and Everyday

By General Posts

Dear Friend,

Today, we pause to honor the service and sacrifice of our nation’s Veterans. We are so grateful to them because they were called or volunteered to be part of something bigger than themselves. And at Operation Gratitude, we are honored to lift them up today and every day with Care Packages created especially for them, filled with useful items we know they will enjoy.

This holiday season, with the help of thousands of grateful Americans, we will send over 30,000 Care Packages to Veterans across the country to remind them that a thankful nation remembers their sacrifice and appreciates what they did for this country.

Of course, our Care Package program is just one of many opportunities we offer to Volunteers and supporters who want to thank those who have served.

Here are some opportunities to show appreciation this month in honor of Veterans Day:

Flag the FOB
Today is the last day to help us Flag the FOB to honor our Veterans! Just $5 sponsors a flag. Each donation will cover the costs to fill, assemble, and ship Care Packages to Veterans across the nation. With your help, we can fill an entire wall at our headquarters (The FOB, aka Forward Operating Base) with flags in a beautiful display of support, respect, and gratitude to honor these brave men and women.

CLICK & Visit FLAG THE FOB – Operation Gratitude today to take part!

Make Paracord Lanyards
We are excited to launch our new paracord lanyard design! The new and easier design is a zipper stitch and only uses 5 feet of cord which means you will be able to make a lot of lanyards in a shorter period of time! No jig required!

Not only are paracord items full of meaning, but they are also useful for our recipients. From a young soldier in Afghanistan who unraveled his paracord bracelet and used it as a temporary sling for his M4 rifle to the three Marines who strapped fuel cans back to the side of their 7-ton truck in order to keep up with their convoy in the deserts of Iraq, our paracords have been utilized in numerous emergency situations.

12 Days of Gratitude
‘Tis the season for thanks and giving! From November 11-22, we will be highlighting unique giving opportunities and easy ways to express your gratitude to our service members and their families, Veterans and first responders. Your contributions are so important to our mission and will add holiday cheer to everyone who opens our Care Packages.

Give Back Box
Good news! Operation Gratitude is now partnering with Give Back Box to offer discounted shipping to our Handmade with Love and collection drive donors! All boxes up to 50 pounds qualify for $20 shipping throughout the U.S. The steps are simple. Click the button below to learn how to add your label to your cart. Pay for the postage, print your label, put it on your box, and drop it off! It’s that easy! Please note, this label will print with Operation Gratitude’s address, and this postage can ONLY be used to ship your donation to our organization.

Giving Tuesday
Mark your calendars! Giving Tuesday is on November 29th and is a powerful day of giving, raising funds, and generating awareness after Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Our goal is to raise $50,000 to lift the spirits of 2,000 Deployed Troops. Stay tuned for more details!

Thanksgiving Bikernet Weekly News for Thanksgiving 2021

Riding Free for 25 Years

Hey,

Happy Thanksgiving from the Bikernet and 5-Ball crew. We want you to know how much we appreciate your support over the years.

We all have so much to be thankful for this Holiday season. We have been lucky Mofo’s forever.

Hell, young builders don’t even know how lucky they are to be able to score parts at a swap meet and go to work building a bike, unhampered by a myriad of government agencies.

Ask some brothers in Europe, where every product must be approved by maybe not one, but a group of government agencies.

There are so many folks and aspects of American life to be thankful for. We are living in the best of times.

Have a terrific day, and take a moment to reflect on how good we have it in America, because it is the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Ride fast and free, forever!

Thanks to All Service Personnel: 9/11

Thanks to All Service Personnel

I would like to take a moment and thank all service guys and girls including Fire Fighters, Police, medical folks and our military crew. They do a magnificent job every day under extreme circumstances especially now and on the days surrounding 9/11.

They live to a higher code, so brothers and sisters all over the country can ride free and safe. If you see a cop, a nurse, a fire fighter or a bro or broette in uniform today, say Thanks.

Ride Free Forever,

–Bandit
