Hey, We want the games to play next year. We want to ride our motorcycles to the Sturgis Rally in 2024 and watch Jelly Roll at the Buffalo Chip, and we want Ma to make a Thanksgiving turkey in her gas oven again. Next year we want the truth and will demand integrity from the government or die trying. Let’s hit the news. Hey, The motorcycle industry has a problem, but it also has the solution—if the family sticks together. We are under attack, but we also have a family of supporters lead by the Motorcycle Riders Foundation, which is now joined by NCOM, NCOCs, and the new IMA. Hell, maybe SEMA will step up. I could give a tiny bit of credit to the Bikernet team, but you can help by joining the MRF or the IMA family quick. Just join and get your family of riders to join so we can help these guys do the tough work in Washington and in your state legislatures. Let’s hit the news and you will learn more….Never give up and never give in. Ride free or die trying, goddammit! –Bandit Click Here to read this week’s news only on Bikernet.com * * * *
My generation partied and raised hell, but I was fortunate enough to be confronted with the fight for freedom and the processes. It made me more aware and attuned to the shit going on behind the party. It’s like sometimes you party, but sometimes you fight. Right now, we’re fighting. Yesterday alone, I help a friend load 4 cords of firewood into his garage yesterday morning, found parts for his ’60 Panhead project, took his fork tubes to the machine shop to be shortened. Met with my Dragon painter and gave him a deposit on his work. I’ve discussed my knucklehead paint project with numerous sources. Looks like I might paint it myself. But then I need to prepare a portion of the shop for painting. Well, for this minute, that’s all, but hang on. The projects never end. It was Halloween so we rolled into Sturgis to the Ugly MC headquarters for a party. Have a fantastic Holiday Season. Be confident about the truth and freedom It’s amazing in the Black Hills. I love the mornings. Got so many projects and so little time. Think about it. We a living in the best of times from the standpoint of science, technology, communications and health (exception of Covid) but our leaders, elected officials are scared, bullied, bullies, control freaks and avoiding the truth. Get this. The last two issues of the AMA magazine have not mentioned any legislative issues. Did they miss the SEMA report or have they been taken over? The new MIC (Motorcycle industry Council) report just came out. No legislative alerts. What’s going on? If I was confident about anything it’s in the truth and freedom. Let’s hit the news. –Bandit Click here to read this Thursday’s Weekly News only on Bikernet.com * * * * * * * * * * * * Get Freedom, Get into Bandit’s Cantina…click to know more.
Hey, It’s timely and maybe not. Life is so ironic even to an old grubby biker. On one side folks want to ban smoke. They are very afraid. It’s all nuts. It’s all the best of times in the Black Hills of South Dakota. We took my Mossberg 12 gauge pistol with a 14-inch barrel and blew the shit out of everything in its path. There was one other shooter at the open range outside Deadwood, Scott. Tremendously knowledgeable about my old, used shortened hunting rifle, an 1885 Krag 30-40, he coached us on the rifle and helped tune the sight. Fred Cuba threw his first Twisted Nipple Event in Nebraska. You’ll see a report shortly. Hey, Another exciting week in the shop. A brother recently picked up a 1960 Panhead roller from a friend in Alaska. Old shit and aftermarket news: Primo Rivera has sold and we will find out more shortly. And I received a note from a builder who is having problems with V-Twin or Tedd’s cycles early bike petcocks and front brake drums cracking. Watch out. Life is nuts-—But we’re having a blast in the Black Hills. A couple of brothers are out riding daily, to get the oil flowing before winter steps in. Seek the truth….get involved and informed I WANT TO SAY SOMETHING—But I don’t know how to describe it. We are having the time of our lives in the Black Hills. Guys ask me all the time about moving to snow country. It’s not so much about the move. It’s the ability to pack your shit and find a new adventure. It doesn’t matter where you go, just get it done, if you have the balls. The second part of the equation is the fact that we can still do pretty much whatever we want to do, for now. — Bandit Click here to read this week’s news only on Bikernet.com * * * * * * * * * * * *
Lotsa Different Directions Hey, I said it was the odd Bikernet Weekly news, because we are living in strange times, but there’s always hope. We are actually living in the Best of Times, and everyone has the opportunity to grow, build, learn, better themselves and prosper. I say there’s hope, because like this weekend, brothers and sisters from all over the country are meeting in Harrisburg, PA to discuss strategies for freedom at the Meeting of the Minds. It’s not too late to be a part of the action. There’s always hope. Stay upright and riding free forever. –Bandit Click here to read this week’s news only on Bikernet.com * * * * * * * * * * * * SHOP FOR YOUR NEXT RIDE — click & roar
A tale of two parties to a deal and one steadfast old iron engine Text and photos by Ujjwal Dey with illustrations from Wayfarer An Enfield Bullet 350 finds a home after being in limbo for four stressful months. The cast iron engine with right-hand-side gear shift is a well-known legend among motorcyclists, especially purists who don’t want the brand name “Bullet” associated with run-of-mill modern designs & engines. What misadventure occurred and what new adventures await? “First time in life I decided to purchase a used vehicle. An out of production cast-iron engine Enfield Bullet 350cc with right-hand-side gear shift which is the closest thing available to the 1955 Enfield Bullet 350 including chassis and engine design by the Britishers among other things such as dashboard, tank, hand-painted pinstripe, etc. These come with Green Tax for the alleged pollution they may or might be making. I got a fitness test certificate from the Road Transport office, where the ownership change is registered.” — Dey Click here to read this awesome anecdote about ‘love after love’. Believe it! * * * *
