100 WFC: Merry-up by Wayfarer

100 word fiction contest continues…. #100WFC Merry-up by Wayfarer with illustration by Wayfarer Treading snow getting your V-Twin by the roadside is a workout I could do without. I had feast and festivities on my mind; skipped lunch to dig into the cooking that awaited me at home. Not a spark of life in sight on Christmas Eve! As I spied any vehicle or mobile phone signal—whoa, a bunch of kids from the neighborhood came dragging a large towing trolley. “Where’d you get that thing?” “Hey, Mr. Pete! ‘Twas lying outside the ol’ junkyard,” chirped one kid. “Let’s put it to good use fellas, we got to repair and rebuild—not throw and waste this season.” “Yay” they yelled, helping me get the flat tire towed on a joyous sleigh. 100 WFC: Pretty Hot Christmas

100 word fiction contest continues…. #100WFC It’s Beginning to Feel A lot Like Christmas by Gearhead Rosa spoke little English, but her Mexican dialect could melt a cold man’s heart. She walked me along the throng of Xmas displays to her booth. Her dark eyes glittered, a crimson smirk crossed her wet lips and she motioned to me. She bumped and ground into my thigh and allowed for our fingers to touch. The Xmas song filled the festive night air. I was afraid she’d grind the jeans right off of me. Wet to the feel in that low dark place she moaned. I understood her warmth and longing without another word being said. * * * Know past winners and read all entries ever published by visiting: https://www.bikernet.com/pages/100_Word_Fiction_Contest.aspx All you gotta do is subscribe to Bikernet’s free weekly newsletter and send in your entry to wayfarer@bikernet.com

Bandit’s Latest Fiction: Christmas Dreams

CHRISTMAS DREAMS: The Family Code By Bandit with illustrations by Wayfarer Gabriel rode hard, fought hard and searched his soul year after year after he found himself in the Chopper homeland of Sturgis, South Dakota. He ultimately discovered a spot of land in Boulder Canyon, containing a modest cabin and a heated shop space to die for, but a double shot of Jack on the rocks at the Oasis lounge in downtown became his solace from his haunting blues. Something clawed at him like a bad dream, a scolding mother or the fight, when he nearly killed a man in a blind rage. He felt like a soldier missing an arm. “What’s eating at you,” Shirley said and knew when to pour him another drink. “I don’t know,” Gabriel said. “I can’t figure it out.” “Was it a girl?” Shirley muttered making change. “It usually is.” “There’s been a few,” Gabriel said and took a swig of the Jack before the ice fully melted. “There was one.” His voice drifted off. A Christmas Prayer

I pray for a world that harbors no hate, Where hunger, poverty, homelessness has been eradicated and greed, fraud, likes and deceit have been replaced with kindness, sharing, giving, trust and love, Where animals all have enough space and the school playground is a safe place and All can live and work together as one and enjoy nature’s simple beauty that’s around everyone, Where all disease is under control and health care is available for all, Where zealots, tyrants, war bullies, thugs no longer thrive, Where all are free, healthy, happy to be alive, So give thanks for that in which you love and believe, For us it’s God, family and friends, We all need love, friendship and a home, Peace be with you, May your holidays be truly blessed, — Love, Lana and Wayne Cobb
