I remember visiting the Victory headquarters, back in the early days, when their first model rolled out. It looked a bit chunky, but it was a great ride overall. I have road tested every one of their models. Victory Motorcycles has gone a long way since 1998, and seems headed down the road to greatness.  To celebrate this 15-year milestone, Victory produced a nice video. Enjoy!

The project is being headed up by Sean Salger, merchandising manager for J&P Cycles and a highly experienced technician.  He recently returned from a Midwest excursion to fill a trailer with not one, but three new bikes fresh off various dealer floors.  Instead of locking Sean in the shop with a single assistant for weeks on end, he’s going to get all of us desk jockeys involved.  When he’s working on aspects of the customization involving the lines we manage, we’re going to be right there with him, wrenching, learning and getting grease under our nails…and we can’t wait! It all started in 1973 when Mel decided that an SU carb was THE carb to put on a Harley! Now 40 years later, we are still doing the SU caburettor, although our hair is a little bit greyer. To celebrate our 40th year in business, we decided to produce some special 40th anniversary wear. All the new apparel is decorated with special 40th Anniversary graphics utilizing an image of our venerable SU carb, the product that started it all!!   After several hundred motorcyclists shut down the 10 Freeway so one biker could propose to his girlfriend on the pavement, the California Highway Patrol says criminal charges could be filed. A YouTube video of the dramatic interstate proposal, posted below, drew attention to the event, which happened Sunday under a freeway overpass in West Covina, about 20 miles east of Los Angeles.   In the video, many dozens of motorcyclists occupied all eastbound lanes of the freeway, with the pack headed toward the overpass where family members were gathered, looking down.
