Out Loud Biker To Appear At CES Show In Las Vegas Jan 6-9

The 1999 FLHT standard is "loud" on many levels. Between the "loud" paint scheme laid down by Brad Smith of theFactoryMatch.com, to the seven pairs of KICKER power sports and marine style speakers, to the 12" sub stacked in the tour pack - this bagger is "loud" enough to surely get your attention. The Kicker PXiBT50.2 controller directs the Bluetooth audio. The FLHT sports a "loud" stance with wide 180 tires on both front and rear wheels. Modified Klock Werks front and rear fenders, Klock Werks curvaceous upper fillers, flush mount axle, and KlipHanger "Splitter" handle bars were all used to kustomize this bike. Other partners on the project include Performance Machine, Progressive Suspension, Bagger Nation, Speed by Design, Fairing ...

1914 Feilbach Limited

The Great Unremembered Threat to Harley-Davidson. Launching its first motorcycle in 1904, the Feilbach enterprise would eventually knock heads, SOHC or otherwise, with another Milwaukee upstart company, Harley-Davidson, although it seemed Feilbach had the upper hand with a better motorcycle. Arthur Otto Feilbach and his brother William tinkered together their first machine within their small home garage. This was coincidentally in the same vicinity and at the same time as Harley-Davidson was housed across town in a 10 x 15 foot shed. Apparently the wrenches were flying at both shops with H-D selling their first machine in 1903 although the bikes first appeared in the historical records in 1904. Then for the next five years the Feilbachs went at ...

Wishing Everyone a Good and Prosperous New Year. Hey, Life is nuts, but every year we make a plan, good, bad or indifferent. So, the overall mantra for 2015 is more fun, friends, and more time to relax. Okay, so how the hell are we going to find the right path. We started two more web sites, then the 5-Ball Racing apparel line. Iā€™m wrapping up a book, ā€œWorld Run,ā€ then a screenplay, which should be easyā€”sure. We will rebuild the Bonne Belle 45 flathead for Bonneville, and work like hell with Kent Weeks to build the first Streamlined Trike. All the components are at hand, including the complete 135-inch JIMS driveline. This puppy will be amazing, if only I ...

Old School/New School Reunion

11th Annual Ventura Chopperfest 2014. A record crowd of show bikes and spectators filled the spacious grounds of the Ventura County Fairgrounds this past Sunday, December 14th to celebrate the 11th Annual Chopperfest. They were able to shop for that particular bike part or Christmas gift with some 200 vendors and swap meet booths to enjoy. There was a special exhibition of biker art in homage to David Mann. Not only was the ground vibrating with the sounds of hundreds of bikes rolling into the Fairground but also thanks to the rockinā€™ sound track for the day long party. The music was provided this year by three bands which included the Harlis Sweetwater Band, the WOW Factor, and the ...

Klock Werks Introduces The Flare Low Windshield For ā€™14 and UP FLH Models

Klock Werks has added another option to the patented Flareā„¢ Windshield line for 2014+ FLH Model riders. Flareā„¢ Low for 2014 + FLH models joins the already released 6.5ā€, 8.5ā€, and 11.5ā€ options available. Klock Werks original, patented Flareā„¢ Windshield is still the best choice for improved air management, complimenting the new vent/duct system in the 2014+ batwing style HD fairing. ā€œRiders that have purchased the 2014+ HD FLH models, vs the 2013 and older models, will realize that the fairing sits 1ā€ higher, thus a greater need for the Ā Flareā„¢ Low option that incorporates form and function,ā€ stated Brian Klock, President of Klock Werks. Klock Werks Flareā„¢ Windshields feature "hips" at the sides that re-route the wind away from ...

Is A Lift On Missouri Helmet Law Around The Corner?

A Missouri lawmaker wants to lift a state law requiring all motorcyclists wear a helmet. Merry Christmas Bikernet Weekly News for December 24, 2014

Wishing Everyone a Very, Merry Christmas from the Bikernet Team! Hey, This coming year is going to be awesome. I feel good about it, about some of our directions, not just at Bikernet, but in my funky community in Wilmington, California at trying to get a chunk of Waterfront back. But I also feel sorta good about the direction of our government, and I hope if they can see the light they will follow it, and not just their own political purpose. Itā€™s interesting to let your mind reach out to the future, while holding tight to human nature. No matter what anyone throws at us, no matter the wars, the earthquakes, tornados, floods. We just keep pushing ahead. ...
