Hey,
I’m a strange one. I like to create at home, but every time I hit the road I run into amazing folks, opportunities, resources and finds. I need to go out more often.
I’ve had some folks tell me they can’t advertise because of our girls, bad language and jokes. I find it humorous. We are bikers aren’t we? We do shit bikers do like build wild shit, do wild shit and chase wild girls. What the fuck are we supposed to do, polish our riding boots, wear a uniform, and go to cultural events and study art from the greats who butt-fucked little boys?
Life is confusing. Let’s hit the Post and then go do something crazy or climb in a redhead’s bedroom window.
My name is Dave Clark, and Ive been a commercial artist for 30+ years.
I recently communicated with Valerie Thompson.
She agreed and supports my doing a detailed painting of The 2007 “Assalt Weapan”.
When its complete, she has agreed to autograph it for me. (Thank You Valerie!)
My question is, if you`re available, Id LOVE to have the builder of this record setting motorcycle also autograph my work.
It`ll be a week or two to finish, and if you would be gracious enough to agree, Ill pay for shipping both ways.

Thank You for the prompt response! Ive only got a basic line drawing in pencil at the moment (above).
I use 22 X 30-inch Canson Edition Paper.
I also finished a set of 5 Streamliners for Indian Motorcycle Company, to celebrate Burt Munro`s Record for 1000cc Class Streamliners. These were autographed by John Munro. The last motorcycle was signed before Lee Munro`s run on August 13th. Just as an example of my work.
I’ll send a painted pic of your beautiful “Assalt Weapan” as it progresses.

Breaking: NFL Ticket Sales Numbers Are in… Absolutely Brutal News for Anthem Haters
The NFL and its flag-disrespecting players just got the worst news possible, which is topping off a week of nothing but bad news.
First, one of the biggest broadcasters of football games announced that it would break its own policy and allow outraged fans to cancel their sports packages. We thought that was great. Little did we know what as to come.
Today recent ticket sales for the troubled league have been revealed — and they show that fans have declared all-out war on the NFL, hitting them right in the wallet.
The Washington Examiner has just reported that professional football ticket sales have plummeted nearly 20 percent this week compared to last week.
That information was based on data from TickPick, a major online ticket reseller. Specifically, the retail site reported a drop of 17.9 in the last week.
“We have seen a massive decrease in NFL ticket purchases this past week in comparison to years past. Week 3 seems to usually have less ticket orders than week 2, but this year ticket purchases are down more than 7 percent from this time last year,” TickPick representative Jack Slingland explained.
For a league that takes in a huge amount of revenue annually, a 17.9 percent drop in ticket sales could mean a loss of billions of dollars.
The football ticket sales expert stopped short of specifically blaming the NFL’s anti-anthem antics for the drop, but strongly hinted that this was the cause.
“[T]he conversation around the NFL this week has focused on the president’s comments as well as the players’ and owners’ reaction,” Slingland told The Washington Examiner.
“As viewers continue to abandon their NFL Sunday habits, both the number of ticket sales and the purchase price of tickets will drop.”
Given that the American people are squarely arrayed against the NFL, Slingland probably could have curried some goodwill from fans if he had just embraced the truth wholeheartedly — the American people are furious that multimillionaires think their lot in life is worse than the average American’s.
Showing just how out of touch the Trump-deranged liberals are, they actually didn’t see a problem with such an insane claim (I guess the derangement explains that, huh?).
They actually thought the American people would sit there to be lectured by people who make more money, saying that everyday Americans are the real problem. And just as they did before the last presidential election, left-leaning groups dramatically under-estimated the number of patriotic Americans who are fed up with being ignored and insulted.
Red-blooded Americans have had enough. If we haven’t reached the tipping point where they lose millions of fans over this, we’re almost there.
Let’s keep the heat on them! Please press “Share on Facebook” if you think the arrogant NFL is getting exactly what it deserves.

Sorry to hear about Bill Dodge and Bling Cycles misfortune. I live about sixty miles south of Daytona, by the Space Center. Central Florida took a beating. the only bright light in this is and is coming up soon and a lot of people will be there, maybe he will collect enough to rebuild and then some.

NATIONAL MOTORIST REPORT (NMA)– Losing a License Due To Unpaid Fines Is Hurting Millions
When a motorist receives a traffic ticket the expectation is that if you plead guilty or are found guilty, you pay the fine. Most of us would agree that if you break the law then you should pay for it. But what if you really cannot “pay for it” due to life circumstances?
The Falls Church, Virginia-based Legal Aid Justice Center (LAJC) came out with a new study this week, which concluded that the practice of taking away a driver’s license due to an unpaid fine is unfairly punishing the poor. The LAJC represents low-income Virginians and released the report a year after filing a class action that alleges that the licenses of one out of six residents were suspended in an “unconstitutional scheme.”
The report is the first known 50-state analysis of driver’s license suspension penalties for failure to pay court debts. Currently, five federal class actions seek to halt driver’s license suspensions for non-payment of fines. A federal judge dismissed the Virginia class action in March ruling that the issue should be decided by a state court. The LAJC continues to appeal the ruling.
There is another insidious aspect to the “unpaid fine” angle. Automated tickets are mailed to the registered owner of the vehicle. The owner may not even be aware that a ticket has been issued, particularly if the ticket notification isn’t sent to the correct address. A ticket is issued but not received, the hearing date passes with no appearance so the court rules “guilty” and subsequent notices of payment due continue to be sent to the wrong address, all while the car owner is often oblivious. Oblivious until such time the owner’s license is suspended for nonpayment.
The LAJC study demonstrates that taking a license away due to non-payment of fines can trap people in a mounting cycle of debt that can make a family’s financial burden even a more difficult black hole to climb out from underneath.

· 4.2 million people have had their licenses revoked in the five states:
Michigan
North Carolina
Tennessee
Texas
Virginia
977,000
· Nearly all states that suspend licenses may do so indefinitely.
Michigan has the country’s highest license reinstatement fees: $125 plus the $500 driver responsibility fee if convicted of driving with a suspended license. Since 2013, the state has assessed offenders with more than $165.2 million in such fees and collected only $99.3 million.
Detroit-based attorney John Philo, who has filed a Michigan federal class action on the behalf of two motorists, said, “Driver license suspensions for nonpayment of court fees equals job loss and a cycle of problems for persons without options.” He added that a person with a bad driving record may deserve such penalties but if they have money, they often can buy their way out of it. “Not so for the poor.”
Attorneys for Michigan’s secretary of state stated in a court filing concerning the class action that the issue should not be decided by a federal court and the “fines are rational.”
Phil Telfeyan, executive director of Washington, D.C.-based Equal Justice for All, a non-profit that contributed to the LAJC report, said that nonpayment is a national issue. He added that if governments are suspending licenses as a matter of safety, such as with repeat DUI offenders, that argument might be made. He added, “But if a relatively safe driver is unable to pay a fine, shouldn’t they be provided some form of a payment plan so they can keep driving, keep working and keep their jobs?”
Some cities like Akron, Ohio are already working on a program to assist people and beginning in 2016, the state of Iowa allowed a payment plan to pay for traffic fines.
In June, California Governor Jerry Brown signed a bill that would no longer allow licenses to be suspended for unpaid fines. Close to half a million Californians have suspended licenses and unfortunately the new law is not retroactive.
At some point, state administrators need to heed reports like that from the LAJC and realize that the overall cost to government (and to society) caused by driver’s license suspensions for all but the most serious violations is much greater than the ticket revenue they are so desperate to collect.

“Somewhere Else Tomorrow” Wins Best Feature Film Award in Tokyo
Documentary – World Travel – 106 min
Somewhere Else Tomorrow won the “Best Feature Film Award” at the Tokyo Motorcycle Film Festival since it began streaming on Dream Racer TV.
“Our film has been screened at a number of festivals over the years. To some of those festivals I was even personally invited.
I always enjoy engaging with the movie lovers and travellers. A while ago I received an email from Japan, a place I have never been. I was asked if I wanted to submit “Somewhere Else Tomorrow” to the Tokyo Motorcycle Film Festival. I agreed and forgot about it. A couple of weeks later I received another email asking for my postal address.
The organizers of the festivals want to send me a memento of the film fest saying that our film has won “BEST FILM”.
Wow! I was knocked off my chair. I heard Japan is a motorcycle-fanatic country. I gotta go ride around there soon. p.s. I’ll let you all know when the memento arrives. I’m curious about what it will be” says Daniel Rintz, the subject of his film, as well as producer.
Somewhere Else Tomorrow is the story of a naive dreamer, fearing stagnation and worried about getting tangled up in a boring job out of university, attempts the greatest challenge Daniel Rintz can think of: traveling around the world on a motorcycle – without money.
Instead of wasting precious time saving up for the trip, he hastily decides to make money along the way picking up random jobs – an idea that makes his journey much more challenging and dangerous than he intended. There was no support team, no film-crew, and no budget to buy his way out of tight situations.
Out of the hardship he encounters trying to survive comes a story of true freedom and global understanding. More Info

MINNESOTA STARTUP 47MOTO LAUNCHES NEW 250-CLASS LINE OF MOTORCYCLES– What do you do if you’re a former Buell designer and you find your new career teaching powersports designs is just not quite enough? You create a new American motorcycle company and build innovative bikes, naturally.
That’s the short version of the story behind 47moto, a new company led by President Mike Samarzja that plans to start producing three models in two displacement sizes in the spring.
Samarzja was the Buell design manager for more than 17 years and then created the Harley-Davidson-sponsored powersports design program at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. “I just missed getting my hands dirty,” he said, explaining the new venture.
Despite his background, the 47moto bike is quite different from any Buell. The three 47moto models are modular and highly adjustable designs that will be eventually be offered in a 250 cc version and a 300 cc version with Bosch ABS brakes. The goal is to provide a bike that is fun to ride but is also practical and affordable enough, both in the purchase price and in operation, to make it easy for the buyer to justify the expense.

FROM THE BAD COP FILES–
We appreciate the commitment and sacrifice of the majority of police officers out there. But, we can’t help than be enraged at officers like the one in this case.
The police are there to protect the people. To help them. To maintain law and order. They’re the people we teach our kids to look up to, to be like. We understand that even police officers are human and can commit mistakes. However, we never expect things like these out of them.
This rider was going about his morning ride in Denver. Like many of us do, these days, he too was wearing a helmet cam. While somewhere around Zuni Street and West 48th Avenue, he noticed a distracted driver.
The car was stopped at a right turn, and was impeding traffic. The rider started honking at the driver. And then comes out the surprise. The driver gets out of the car, and he wasn’t some ordinary jacka** citizen. He was an officer of the Denver Police. An argument then ensues between the two. The whole incident was caught on tape. And the officer continued to threaten the rider with a ticket! Absolutely obnoxious behavior it was!

noun
1.satisfaction or reparation for a wrong or injury; amends.
2.(sometimes initial capital letter) Theology. the doctrine concerning the reconciliation of God and humankind, especially as accomplished through the life, suffering, and death of Christ.
QUOTES
If we do now make our atonement well, / Our peace will, like a broken limb united, / Grow stronger for the breaking.
— William Shakespeare, Henry IV, Part 2, 1623
ORIGIN
The noun atonement derives from the verb atone “to reconcile, appease,” which dates from the 16th century and derives from the Middle English (15th century) adverbial phrase atone, at on, at oon “in harmony.” Atone, atonement, alone, and only preserve the original long “o” (o?n, etc.) that is implied in the spelling. One and once, which preserve the etymological spelling, are now pronounced w?n and w?ns.
The gradual change of pronunciation of one and once from o?n and o?ns to w?n and w?ns began in Wales and the west and southwest of England about 1400 and became universal by the 18th century. Atonement entered English in the 16th century.
CHICAGO TEAM NAME CHANGE–
Here is an e-mail sent to Clarence Page of the Chicago Tribune after an article he published concerning a name change for the Washington Redskins.
Dear Mr. Page: I agree with our Native American population. I am highly insulted by the racially charged name of the Washington Redskins.
One might argue that to name a professional football team after Native Americans would exalt them as fine warriors, but nay, nay. We must be careful not to offend, and in the spirit of political correctness and courtesy, we must move forward.
Let’s ditch the Kansas City Chiefs, the Atlanta Braves and the Cleveland Indians. If your shorts are in a wad because of the reference the name Redskins makes to skin color, then we need to get rid of the Cleveland Browns.
The New York Yankees offend the Southern population. Do you see a team named for the Confederacy? No! There is no room for any reference to that tragic war that cost this country so many young men’s lives.
I am also offended by the blatant references to the Catholic religion among our sports team names. Totally inappropriate to have the New Orleans Saints, the Los Angeles Angels or the San Diego Padres.
Then there are the team names that glorify criminals who raped and pillaged. We are talking about the horrible Oakland Raiders, the Minnesota Vikings, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Pittsburgh Pirates!
Now, let us address those teams that clearly send the wrong message to our children. The San Diego Chargers promote irresponsible fighting or even spending habits. Wrong message to our children.
The New York Giants and the San Francisco Giants promote obesity, a growing childhood epidemic. Wrong message to our children.
The Cincinnati Reds promote downers/barbiturates. Wrong
message to our children.
The Milwaukee Brewers. Well that goes without saying. Wrong message to our children.
So, there you go. We need to support any legislation that comes out to rectify this travesty, because the government will likely become involved with this issue, as they should. Just the kind of thing the do-nothing Congress loves.
As a diehard Oregon State fan, my wife and I, with all of this in mind, suggest it might also make some sense to change the name of the Oregon State women’s athletic teams to something other than the Beavers, especially when they play Southern California. Do we really want the Trojans sticking it to the Beavers???
I always love your articles and I generally agree with them. As for the Redskins name I would suggest they change the name to the “Foreskins” to better represent their community, paying tribute to the dick heads in Washington DC.

Nash Model Series: The Trucky
I have a lot of great memories as a young boy. At the top of my list is pipe fitting on construction sites with my old man during the summer. I place my chin on the seal of my dad’s old Chevy truck door, window rolled down with the summer breeze brushing my face, staring sleepily at the cars rolling by.
I was listening to Billy Joel playing in the background when I heard the sound of the mighty Peterbilt humming down the road.
As she passes by, I see the grand paint job and all the chrome, reminding me of a Johnny Cash song. The man driving is old, worn, and probably fought the Germans in WW2. His window rolled down, arm hanging out, and a look on his face of peace and determination.
Then my eyes focus on his farmer tanned tattooed arm. American flag, pin-up girl, a heart, and a whole lot of other stuff that marks the man and his life. This is the inspiration for this build. I named her “Trucky” for the tattooed men that have pounded the roads of this great country.
One of the best parts on this bench was the foot release levers. I was able to use these cast part as the foot pegs and shifter as well as the brake pedal. Whether it be in a truck or motorcycle, the road is one of the great gifts God has given us in this life.
I am grateful for this industry and the life it provides for my family and myself. I hope you enjoy this motorcycle as much as I enjoyed building it.

NEW JOB IN CHICAGO
Bob was sitting on the plane at DFW waiting to fly to Chicago, when a guy took the seat beside him. The guy was an emotional wreck…pale, hands shaking in fear.
“What’s the matter, afraid of flying?” Bob asked.
“No, it’s not that. I’ve been transferred to Chicago. The people are crazy there, right? Lots of shootings, gangs, race riots, drugs, poor schools, and the highest crime rate in the USA.”
Bob replied, “I’ve lived in Chicago all my life. It’s not as bad as the media says. Find a nice home, go to work, mind your own business, and enroll your kids in a nice private school. I’ve worked there for 14 years and never had the slightest trouble.”
The guy relaxed and stopped shaking and said, “Oh, thank you. I’ve been worried to death, but if you’ve lived and worked there all those years and say it’s OK, I’ll take your word for it. What do you do for a living?”
“I’m a tail-gunner on a Budweiser truck.
