JIMS® Compensating Sprocket Lock Kit

Great news from JIMS®! The Compensating Sprocket Lock Kit is now ready and available for select Harley-Davidson® motorcycles with an MSRP that ranges from $160.00 – $185.00. This system positively secures the compensating sprocket so that it can’t come loose. Rubber mounted engines may insulate the rider and frame mounted components from vibration, but the entire power train which includes the compensating sprocket, is still at risk from fasteners coming loose due to shaking. Additionally, today’s larger and more powerful engines can cause a lesser fastening system to come loose from the large power pulses combined with the back and forth motion from getting on and off the throttle. An unsecured compensating sprocket can have dangerous and expensive consequences. Along with drive line security, the JIMS® Compensating Sprocket Lock Kit keeps the alternator rotor in place to prevent damage to the charging system. Note: This is not only a race engine item; street bikes will also benefit from this upgrade for increased reliability and safety. Hit the banner below for more information or call 805 482-6913. Former Steve McQueen Motorcycle Up for Auction

Auction house Bonhams said it plans to sell a 1914 Indian Model F racing motorcycle, once owned by the late actor Steve McQueen, during its April 28 sale at the International Classic MotorCycle Show in Stafford, England. The Model F is one of 242 motorcycles set to cross the block during the Bonhams sales sale. While it is not the rarest and doesn’t have the highest estimate, its connection with McQueen could make it a wild card. A number of McQueen’s former cars and motorcycles have fetched many times their estimated value in auctions during the past decade. The Model F is an early board-track racer from an era when racing motorcycles on banked wooden tracks was extremely popular. This purpose-built bike and the machines it competed against generally had no clutch, throttle or brakes. They were push-started and ran “wide-open” at speeds up to 100 mph.   Continue reading

HOT BIKE GRAPHICS

Screaming Skull and Airbrush Flame design elements, set on one (1) of two (2) backgrounds (Black or Brushed Metal) features a Yellow or Orange outer pin as shown. The graphics look so good, you'd think they're factory applied! The Black background generally looks great on brighter color bikes while the Brushed Metal kit suits darker color backgrounds. While the graphics are shown here on a 2010 Harley-Davidson Street Glide, the precut graphic kit is uniquely designed to fit a range of Harley-Davidson's Touring line and, perhaps with slight trimming, will look great on just about any bike. http://www.autotrimdesign.net/Harley-Davidson_Street_Glide_Vicious_Graphic_Kit_4.asp
