Tightening Stainless Ties Just Got Easier

Stainless steel locking ties are commonly used in many different powersports applications. They are light, strong, and can take a lot of abuse. But, they can be finicky to work with, especially for the average guy who doesn’t use them every day. DEI has developed an effective tool to tighten stainless locking ties. This tool saves time, hassle, and gives a professional looking result. Simply slide the tool on the end of any ¼” nut driver, engage the tie, and twist. This gets the tie nice and secure, without any hassle. The DEI Locking Tie Tool will fit on the end of any standard ¼” drive extension so working in tight spaces where your hands don’t fit is no problem. The tool works with all the popular styles of stainless ties up to ½” wide. They are made from hardened tool steel and black oxide coated for years of trouble free use. This is one specialty tool no tool box should be without. Part number: 010220 MSRP: $5.95 Availability: Now To learn more about DEI’s new Locking Tie Tool (part #010220), or any of DEI’s complete line of thermal control products for powersports call 800-264-9472, visit https://www.deipowersports.com, or email sales@DesignEngineering.com.

Peter Fonda Rides The Harley-Davidson LiveWire

Hey, check out this article in the Los Angeles Time this week. It’s a gas! According to Harley-Davidson President and COO Matt Levatich, the LiveWire is still under development and it will take time before a production motorcycle makes its way to showrooms and garages.  Levatich told the Journal Sentinel that the LiveWire “will be ready for the marketplace when next-generation battery technologies are ready.” Right now, the electric bike would travel half the distance buyers want and cost $50,000, “about 50% more than customers would want to pay,” said Levatich. We rode the LiveWire a couple of weeks ago in Long Beach and we confirm that this little bike is real hoot! We recommend you schedule a test ride when you get a chance. Keep an open mind and get ready for some serious fun!
