American Bad Ass Kid Rock To Take Main Stage At The Chip In 2016

In a message addressed to Sturgis Rally goes, Sturgis Buffalo Chip President, Woody Woodruff, announced that for the Chip’s 35th anniversary in 2016, American bad ass Kid Rock, is going to perform on the Wolfman Jack Stage on Sunday, Aug. 7. “Kid Rock is one of my personal favorites and obviously most of yours as well,” says Woody. “I’ve already received hundreds of requests this year alone pleading with us to book him for 2016. Not only is he an incredible performer who’s been nominated for five Grammys and sold more than 25 million albums worldwide, the guy’s got brass balls. As tens of thousands of you remember well, the last time Kid performed at the Chip he literally rocked his way through fire from the sky. A fierce thunderstorm had rolled in, rain poured down and lightning struck the water tower, but he refused to leave that cheering, packed house with anything less than a full Kid Rock concert experience. It was an astounding night no one will soon forget. We are extremely excited to have him back in 2016.” Kid Rock is only the first of many world-class performers we’re announcing for the 2016 event at the Chip. We will be celebrating 35 years of The Best Party Anywhere with a good number of great people, and we’d love to see you here. The festivities will begin on Friday, Aug 5 and run through Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016. The campground will open for camping on Monday, Aug. 1, 2016.

Indian Motorcycle Gets In The Flat Track Race Game With RSD Super Hooligan

Indian Motorcycle is a title sponsor for the upcoming “RSD Super Hooligan” flat track race in Las Vegas. The street-bike based race takes place indoors on a short track at the Orleans Hotel & Casino the evening of November 21, and is presented in partnership with Roland Sands Design and AMA Pro Flat Track in conjunction with the “Superprestigio of the Americas” race. To spice things up, the winner of the Super Hooligan race will receive a new 2016 Indian Scout. Hooligan racing is a throwback to a post-war era where riders took virtually any available motorcycle to race in the spirit of seeking adrenaline and enjoying the commeradery. Today the flat track Hooligan racing category is rapidly gaining in popularity with riders of all ages and experience levels because it brings the fun back into a less structured environment where any rider can race virtually any motorcycle. “Framers” or custom race chassis machines are not allowed in the class. It’s designed to allow racers to lightly modify an existing street chassis for racing action, a familiar situation for the world famous Indian Scout. The company also announced it has partnered with Roland Sands Design to build and race five custom Hooligan racers based on the Indian Scout. The custom Hooligan Scouts will race in the RSD Super Hooligan event in Las Vegas, with a world-class team of riders that includes Roland Sands himself, Red Bull/KTM stunt rider Aaron Colton, plus some surprise guest riders. These new custom motorcycles will be revealed to the media on Friday, November 20 during the International Motorcycle Shows press event in Long Beach, CA. “The Scout is a great machine upon which to base a custom bike with modern rider friendly performance. The engine and chassis are rock solid and don’t need a lot

Would you Drive A Yamaha Sports Car?

Did you know that Japanese manufacturer Yamaha had started making musical instruments, decades ago? The musical instrument business has been booming for Yamaha since then, and of course, so is the motorcycle, ATV and side-by-side business. Could Yamaha soon be a player in the automotive game too? With the unveiling of its new concept car at Japan’s 43rd annual international automotive event, there’s little doubt now. It’s actually not the first time Yamaha has strayed from its two-wheel comfort zone. Yamaha has been building high-performance engines for automotive manufacturers since 1967 when it partnered with Toyota to build the first Japanese supercar — the 2000GT.
