After a confident boosting performance at the 2013 NHRA Harley-Davidson Drag Racing Series race at Pacific Raceways this past weekend the Kevin Boyer Nitro Harley drag racing team feels its only a tune up away from being back with the rest of the field. With gremlins plaguing the bikes performance since Richmond the team returned home and tore the bike down and replaced everything.
The team went into Seattle last weekend feeling good after successful test sessions. Each pass improved over the course of the two-day event with the ACE / KBR top fuel Harley drag bike running its best ET 6.995 at 206.45 MPH for the event. The team came close to making the 8-bike field with the bump set at 6.842 ET.
Kevin Boyer Racing was real pleased with how the ACE / KBR drag bike performed and now says they will concentrate on the tune up.
Boyer remarked, “We feel really good about making the field this weekend at Woodburn. Were only a tune up away”.
The team is eager to get the bike back on the track starting with the test and tune sessions followed by qualifying on Saturday and then looking forward to Sunday’s eliminations.
