Just returned from Cuba, which is the size of Florida. It’s ridiculous we didn’t end up with that island, but we fucked it up. Unlike England we have never been good at governing outside entities. Take a look at what we are doing in Puerto Rico and Haiti. Ridiculous. Both of these places should be beautiful and represent the quality of America, but our government never took the class or failed and never took it again.
Here’s another wild point. Here’s a country the size of Florida with little or no EPA restrictions. So, it’s okay for our government to restrict the living shit out of our lives and put whole industries out of business for the planet, and well, you get the picture.
Otherwise the Cuban people are cool but confused. They’ve been told a line of crap by Fidel for 55 years, that rich people are bad, so nobody in Cuba was rich except Fidel. It wasn’t until he died that a person could own a home. Doctors make so little they drive a cab after hours to make enough money. Crazy.
Let’s get to the news. Just recently folks in Cuba can now get entertainment from the outside world including CNN. Let’s see what happens next.
Biker Fest (aka Italian Bike Week)–
Biker Fest 2018 to host AMD World Championship affiliate custom bike show–The 32nd annual Biker Fest (aka Italian Bike Week) at Lignano Sabbiadoro, on the Adriatic coast of Italy, north of Venice, will be staged from 10 – 13 May 2018, again hosting the Italian Custom Bike Championship finals, the official affiliate round of the AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building for Italy.
This year saw thousands of bikers descend on Lignano Sabbiadoro for one of Europe’s oldest custom bike events, the brainchild of father and son team Moreno and Micke Persello, creators of the original Chopper and Custom Show at Padua back in the 1990s and publishers of leading Italian custom lifestyle magazine Biker’s Life.
Next year will be the seventh time the ever-popular Biker Fest will play host to the climax of the 12 city/event Italian Bike Championship with no less than four builders winning 1,000.00 euro each of expenses to compete at ‘AMD XIII’ at INTERMOT ‘Customized’ in Cologne, Germany, in October 2018.
Over 100 bikes in total were on display at the impressive Terrazza Mare, and classes will again include Freestyle, Modified Harley-Davidson, Metric, Streetfighter/Sportsbike, Cafe Racer, Scrambler, Bagger and Old Style, with the three ‘Best in Show’ winners and ‘Public Vote’ pick scooping the ‘AMD’ prize money being put up by the show organizers.

With a larger vendor presence at the event this year, an expanded additional “customizer” vendor area was set up opposite the Terrazza (in addition to the usual vendor lot at Luna Park) where there were opportunities for builders and custom shops to present their work – a new feature in 2016 that is developing into a popular opportunity for custom builders to connect with the over 35,000 riders who attend.
Exhibitors backing Biker Fest in 2017 included Custom Chrome Europe, Motorcycle Storehouse, Free Spirits, Italian suspension specialists Andreani and Bitubo, Asso Special Bike and motorcycle manufacturers such as Harley-Davidson, Indian Motorcycle, BMW, Honda, Aprilia, Ducati (Scrambler) and Moto Guzzi.

WORDS FROM THE LOUISE HAY MOUNTAIN– Forgiveness
Forgiveness of ourselves and of others releases us from the past. The Course in Miracles says over and over that forgiveness is the answer to almost everything.
I know that when we are stuck, it usually means there is some more forgiving to be done. When we do not flow freely with life in the present moment, it usually means we are holding on to a past moment. It can be regret, sadness, hurt, fear, or guilt, blame, anger, resentment, and sometimes even the desire for revenge. Each one of these states comes from a space of unforgiveness, a refusal to let go and come into the present moment.
Love is always the answer to healing of any sort. And the pathway to love is forgiveness. Forgiveness dissolves resentment. There are several ways in which I approach this.
Exercise: Dissolving Resentment
There is an old Emmet Fox exercise for dissolving resentment that always works. He recommends that you sit quietly, close your eyes, and allow your mind and body to relax. Then, imagine yourself sitting in a darkened theater, and in front of you is a small stage. On that stage, place the person you resent the most. It could be someone in the past or present, living or dead. When you see this person clearly, visualize good things happening to this person — things that would be meaningful to him. See him smiling and happy.
Hold this image for a few minutes, then let it fade away. I like to add another step. As this person leaves the stage, put yourself up there. See good things happening to you. See yourself smiling and happy. Be aware that the abundance of the Universe is available to all of us.
The above exercise dissolves the dark clouds of resentment most of us carry. For some, it will be very difficult to do. Each time you do it, you may get a different person. Do it once a day for a month, and notice how much lighter you feel.

I am 61 been riding since I was 12. I like the Ural, the retro design at popular prices. Do not see any dealers around though. I ride Harley-Davidson. I would consider a 2nd bike the Ural w/sidehack, might be a lot of fun.

BIKERNET BAD JOKE LIBRARY BEST JOKE OF THE YEAR– A cranky older woman in her “senior years” was arrested for shoplifting at a grocery store. She gave everyone a hard time, from the store manager to the security guard to the arresting officer who took her away. She complained and criticized everything and everyone throughout the process.
When she appeared before the judge, the judge asked her what she had stolen from the store.
The lady defiantly replied, “Just a stupid can of peaches you old fool.”
