5-Ball Attack On The Texas Hills Cycle Show

by Frank Ball with photos by Meredith Devine The Gang Setup the 5-Ball Headquarters on the Ruddy Surface of the Round-Up Dustin Hill, my tattooed Biker brother from the gym rides a sic-ass Dyna with all the upgrades. He invited me and 5-Ball Racing Leathers to be a part of his motorcycle event deep in the heart of the Texas hill country, about an hour and half outside of Austin, Texas. Deemed The Texas Hills Cycle Show at the round up in Blanco, Texas. I rode my FXR chopper, Bandit “Pops” built, out there alone Friday night. I peeled through the back roads and hills. Man, this place was so cool, perfectly tucked away in thick green endless rolling hills and two-lane back roads of the Texas hill country. Harley dual sport motorcycle: The Carducci SC3 Adventure

Jim Carducci is an engineer with a passion for dual sport motorcycles and the Harley Sportster motor. So he’s put the two together and created the Carducci Dual Sport SC3 Adventure. It’s not quite as improbable as it sounds, and the amount of engineering on the finished product is quite remarkable. But the question remains: why? “I had a vision of how I could somehow transform a Sportster into a viable dual sport motorcycle,” says Jim. “Others have built variations of the idea, but none suited my eye. And few were truly capable off-road dual sport bikes.” Read the full story at: https://www.bikeexif.com/dual-sport-motorcycle

Speed Meets Style: State Farm’s New Bobber

by Prince Najar with photos by Jeff the flunky State Farm’s New Bobber Produced by Roys Toys Customs Roy Martin of Roys Toys Customs recently headed up Build Team 13, comprising an elite group of veterans and first responders to build a ground-up custom bobber. Crystal Hess’s Motorcycle Missions is a 501(c)3 non-profit focused to help Veterans and First Responders with PTS(D). Roy donated his shop and provided mentorship to build a one-of-a-kind Roys Toys Customs bobber. The sponsor for the build is State Farm Insurance. Jake from State Farm came by to be fitted. It turned out he was too short for the controls. He looks bigger on TV… Naw, I’m kidding about that. The fellas said if Jake came by, they would be happy to get a quote, though.
