Kyle Wyman Tops All-Harley King of the Baggers Podium at Laguna Seca

Vance & Hines/Harley-Davidson racer Hayden Gillim wins on Saturday

MILWAUKEE (July 10, 2023) – Harley-Davidson® Screamin’ Eagle® factory rider Kyle Wyman topped an all-Harley-Davidson podium on Sunday in the MotoAmerica Mission King of the Baggers race at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in California. Wyman led from start to finish in the 8-lap race on the team’s race-prepared Harley-Davidson® Road Glide® motorcycle to claim his fifth win of the season. Vance & Hines/Mission Foods teammates James Rispoli and Hayden Gillim finished second and third on Harley-Davidson Road Glide motorcycles. With the win, Kyle Wyman preserved his championship points lead in the series.

“I really wanted to get a good start today to get out front and control the pace,” said Wyman. “I was feeling pressure from Rispoli in the second half of the race, and I know James would not hesitate to take his shot at a pass, so I made sure to not give him that opportunity. It’s really great to see Harley-Davidson lock up the podium today.”

Wyman opened the weekend by topping the first qualifying session on Friday with a new King of the Baggers track record lap of 1:28.586. On Saturday Wyman won the three-lap King of the Baggers Challenge race, besting second place Gillim by 1.462 seconds.

In the Saturday feature race, Wyman dogged race leader Tyler O’Hara on the Factory Indian motorcycle before passing for the lead in Turn 2 on lap 5. O’Hara passed Wyman back to take the lead on the last lap but crashed on the entrance to the last turn of the race. Wyman fell behind him and both riders slid off the track as Gillim, Rispoli, and Sacramento Mile/Roland Sands Indian rider Bobby Fong took advantage. O’Hara and Wyman both managed to pick up their bikes and cross the finish line, O’Hara in fourth place and Wyman in ninth place. Gillim finished first, 2.919 seconds ahead of Rispoli, with Fong in third place. Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle factory rider Travis Wyman finished in seventh place on his Harley-Davidson Road Glide motorcycle.

On Sunday roles were reversed, as Kyle Wyman took the lead from the pole position with O’Hara chasing in second place, followed by Rispoli and Gillim. O’Hara fell off the pace on lap 4 and was passed by both Vance & Hines riders. Rispoli closed to within a fraction of a second on Wyman but never had an opportunity to attempt a pass. O’Hara finished fourth. Travis Wyman was sixth on the Factory Harley-Davidson® Road Glide®.

After eight of 14 races in the 2023 MotoAmerica Mission King of the Baggers series, Kyle Wyman leads the championship with 148 points, followed by Rispoli with 143 points, and Gillim with 130 points. O’Hara sits in fourth place with 107 points. Travis Wyman is in 10th place with 59 points.

The Mission King of the Baggers series features race-prepared American V-Twin touring motorcycles. Harley-Davidson® Factory Team Road Glide® motorcycles are powered by modified Screamin’ Eagle® Milwaukee-Eight® 131 Performance Crate Engines. The team bikes also feature upgraded suspension components, including Screamin’ Eagle/Öhlins Remote Reservoir Rear Shocks, plus competition exhaust, race tires and lightweight bodywork.

The Harley-Davidson® Screamin’ Eagle® factory team returns to action July 28-30 in the MotoAmerica Superbikes at Minnesota at Brainerd International Raceway near Brainerd, Minn.

Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing Ready for 450SX Title Run

Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing’s 450 team aims to keep its premier class championship streak rolling with returning champions and an all-new YZ450F

MARIETTA, Ga. – December 12, 2022 – Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing heads into the 2023 Monster Energy AMA Supercross season armed with returning champions and an all-new YZ450F looking to take a fourth-consecutive premier class title for the team. Reigning 450SX and 450MX Champion Eli Tomac and 2021 450MX Champion Dylan Ferrandis lead the charge, with 2021 250SX West Champion Justin Cooper joining the duo for select rounds before switching to the 250 class for the outdoor season.

Following a stellar debut season with the team, Tomac returns looking to defend his crown in the Monster Energy AMA Supercross 450SX Championship. 2022 was a landmark year for the multi-time champion who lays claim to the winningest rider currently active in the premier class. He notched seven wins, including a record-breaking sixth victory at the legendary Daytona International Speedway, to seal the deal on his second 450SX title a weekend early in his home state of Colorado. Tomac tasted triumph again in the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross 450MX Championship, coming out on top in a thrilling down-to-the-wire title fight with 14 moto wins and five overall victories en route to his fourth title in the class. He was also the captain of the victorious Team USA at the Motocross of Nations, took some more supercross wins overseas during the off-season, and was honored with his first ESPY Award in the Best Athlete, Men’s Action Sports Category.

Ferrandis returns for his seventh season with the team. The Frenchman has enjoyed a  successful tenure with the Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing squad, earning back-to-back 250SX West Championships in 2019 and 2020, the 2020 250MX Championship, and the 2021 450MX Championship. He won his first premier class title in dominant fashion, putting himself in elite company by clinching the crown during his rookie season. In 2022, Ferrandis showed speed during his Sophomore season in supercross, scoring a podium finish with his teammate in San Diego. Unfortunately, he was sidelined with injuries and did not get the opportunity to defend his number-one plate in Pro Motocross. Back to full fitness, Ferrandis is hungrier than ever and eager to return to the top aboard the new YZ450F.

Stepping up to the premier class to race select rounds on the calendar, Cooper returns for his sixth season with the team and is eager to get some seat time on the YZ450F and battle with the best in the sport. Although 2022 got off to a tough start with an injury that ended his supercross season before it started, the New Yorker finished the year on a high note. He played an important role in Team USA’s Motocross of Nations victory and scored the overall win in the MX2 class. When it’s time to go racing outdoors in the Summer, Cooper will move over to the 250 team to make a run at the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross 250MX Championship aboard the YZ250F.

“We’re into the first week of December now, and it’s been a good off-season. We’ve been going to work on the new motorcycle – the 2023 YZ450F – and so far, it’s been good. When I first jumped on this bike, the first thing I noticed was the weight savings. That’s one thing I really love about it, and for supercross, that’s really good to have for the change of direction. It’s been awesome to start with that, and then now we’ve just been fine-tuning the bike with some suspension settings. We are also well into our training, and so far, so good. We’re staying healthy and should have a good chance at defending this number one plate.”

“The off-season’s been going well. We have this new Yamaha YZ450F in 2023, which was a big change. From week one, we already felt much better on the new bike. It was a big change, and for me, it was very good, especially in supercross, where I struggled a little bit. We had a lot of testing to do with the new bike and all the new parts, but it’s been going well. It feels really good, and I think we are in a way better spot than last year. We have big expectations for the new season, and everybody’s ready; everybody wants to win, and we are going to do everything for that.”

Justin Cooper – Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing

“It’s been a good off-season. We took some time off after RedBud (Motocross of Nations) before getting back to grinding away. I got on the 450 a few weeks ago to try and get my feet wet there and learn the bike. There’s a lot to adapt to, but the process has been fun. I enjoy riding the 450. I’ve always felt like I’ve been a better 450 rider, and I’m looking forward to racing it. It’s a new group of guys, and obviously, the power delivery is different from a 250, so there are going to be a lot of things to get used to, but I’m ready for it. I’m just looking to get my feet wet and learn the bike, learn the class, and get the experience. I think that’s the most valuable thing right now.”

NHDRO Fall Nationals Coming to Fabulous Norwalk

NHDRO’s season of threepeats reaches its end as the Midwest’s largest motorcycle drag racing series gathers on September 16-18 at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio, for the Midwest Fall Nationals presented by Liguori Drag Racing.

This will be the final event of a 2022 NHDRO season that saw three race days at each and every event, maximizing racer paybacks for their travel dollar in a time of high expenses for all travellers.

That means that champions will be crowned in all classes, and with two full points races on Saturday and Sunday—anything can happen.

Defending Schnitz Racing Top Gas champ Jeremy Teasley has a 23 point lead over Jeremy England with Bradley Shellhaas another 92 back.

The defending champ is also in the lead in M2.Shocks 8.70 Quick Street, as Marty White has a commanding 76 markers on Jaden Hall, with Rashad Rowe tucked in close another 6 back.

White is also the defending Kevin Dennis Insurance Street ET champ, and is 40 points ahead of England in that class. Norwalk superstar Kevin Adams is only 10 points further back of England.

England is second in MPS Pro ET, 50 points behind Tom Klemme and 10 ahead of Tom’s brother Joe. Ceslie Shellhaas is only 10 points behind Joe and 20 ahead of Greg Mallett as this class is TIGHT!

David Beshara leads the MTC Super Comp 8.90 index championship by 25 points over Joe Klemme with Rylan Rowe another 62 points back.

Drew Nearhoof has a 61 point lead over Jim “Just a Swangin’” Swanger in Advanced Sleeve Dirty 30 9.30 index with England another 38 back.

You could say that VooDoo Grudge crowns champions every 7 seconds, and grudge racers will get their chance to win their high dollar crowns in sessions on all three days.

Friday night is Shootout time, with Schnitz Racing Top Gas Shootout, Road Course Shootout, Delay Box Shootout, No-Box Shootout, and the Shop Wars Shootout with Maximum Street Performance (MSP), Jeremy Teasley Racing (JTR), Port-Tech and more.

XDA Heads to Virginia for the 2022 Bike Bash

On August 26-28, XDA takes Motorcycle Drag Racing back to Virginia Motorsports Park for the 4th annual Bike Bash.

XDA offers a quality show with over 700 professional, sportsman, and grudge motorcycle drag racers in competition. This season XDA will payout over $500,000 in purse money and a $130,000 contingency fund that spans all classes. This event alone will pay out over $80,000 in cash purse, making it a must-attend event for any east coast drag racing enthusiast.

The event features the Orient Express Pro Street class that run speeds over 230 mph in only 6-seconds! And on Saturday Night, the action will be electric as the fastest grudge racers on the east coast will fly down VMP’s perfectly prepped track. The HTP Performance Afterdark Underground Grudge Program will feature the “Running of the Bulls” Grudge Shootouts and all the Grudge Racing you can handle. Even with the scoreboards off, it’s clear who is fast and who is faux fast. Bring your dollars, because once the action starts, you will be picking lanes and betting on your favorites all night long.

Orient Express Racing Pro Street
The World’s fastest and quickest street tire motorcycles will mobilize once again for the Orient Express Pro Street class. With a track smooth as glass, these 650+ horsepower motorcycles running at speeds over 230mph in the quarter-mile in only 6-seconds will have you saying damn all weekend as their performance numbers will shock you on their DOT tires. You do not want to miss the thrilling racing action served up by these all-stars next weekend.

With only two races left in the season, the pressure will be applied as these pro racers are competing for a championship and a spot to be invited to the 26th annual Haltech World Cup Finals presented by Wiseco at Maryland International Raceway on November 2-6, 2022. Racers will be fighting for a top ten finish in points for the chance to compete in front of 50,000+ fans in November. But of the ten that qualify, only eight will compete in the $5,000 to win Pro Street Shootout sponsored by Platinum General Services. Rodney Williford, Justin Shakir, Greg Wallace, Jason Dunigan, Darion Payne, Gaige Herrera, James Waugh, Curtis Brown, Ryan Hable, and Rickey Wood are currently qualified for WCF. Several racers will be fighting hard to bump into these coveted spots this weekend, and no one will be working harder than Jordan Haase!

Williford is leading the class by one hundred and forty-five points, but after taking a semi-final round loss at the last event, he has opened the gate and let the wolves in. Shakir, Wallace, Dunigan, and Payne all have a chance at the championship title. Williford will have to be at the top of his game next weekend to keep the bloodthirsty at bay.

DME Racing Real Street
The DME Racing 7-second, 190mph Real Street class is designed for street‐legal sportbikes with limited modifications and a hand clutch. Next weekend’s XDA Championship points chase will heat up as Rickey Gadson and Mark Hylton battle to climb to that number one spot that class champion David Stewart is holding on to by only sixty-five points over his competition. Unlike Hylton, Gadson has never held a Real Street championship title, and he will be laser-focused on the win lights next weekend as he looks to put some distance between himself and Hylton and knock Stewart off the top spot. Brittany Bohne had a stellar showing at the last race, and she will be a formidable obstacle in the way of these guys earning points next weekend if they have to line up next to her.

MaxxECU Pro Xtreme
MaxxECU Pro Xtreme features the World’s quickest turbocharged, nitrous injected, or injected nitro drag bikes. This is the quickest and fastest 1/8 mile category in the XDA, and there is nothing better than first to the finish line, heads up racing. John Collins leads the points chase, but the class championship is wide open and still up for grabs for the team working between races to show up and put down the performance numbers for green lights. Procopio was the only rider to lay down a three-second pass at the last event, but next weekend we expect to see these numbers from most of the field as they all have the horsepower under them to produce big numbers. MaxxECU Pro Xtreme is presented by Billy Vose Racing, Fast by Gast, Dunigan Racing, DME Racing, Grothus Dragbikes, Harley Haul, Rob Bush Motorsports, Robinson Industries, Schnitz Racing, Timblin Chassis, and Worldwide Bearings.

HTP Performance Super Stock
The stock wheelbase HTP Performance Super Stock class features strict modification rules, stock wheelbase, stock motor, MR12 spec fuel, no air shifters, no dataloggers, etc. Darion Payne has been the class leader all season but only holds a minuscule six points over the field of 4‐stroke naturally aspirated production machines. Mike Davis is due for a win at this event; he has been runner-up at the last four events, missing wins by mere inches! A rule change between races has been implemented, allowing all liter bikes to go back down to 2″ of ground clearance for all size riders. With this change, class representative Cecil Towner is hoping to see more diversity in the class next weekend.

Vance & Hines 4.60
The popular 1/8th-mile sportsman index category of Vance & Hines 4.60 class is the World’s quickest index class and next weekend that class will be massive with fifty-three riders already on the pre-race roll call list! XDA increases this purse as the entries go up; based on the current pre-entry, a $1,000 bonus will be paid out to the winner. The first 660 feet of the Virginia Motorsports Park will be on fire next weekend as the championship chase comes down to the wire. The top ten riders in points all have a legitimate shot at the championship, but as the field grows, so does the level of competition. Every round won will matter as the points chase typically comes down to the last few rounds of the season.

1 Stop Speed 5.60
Nick Noble will be working hard at the 4th annual Bike Bash to snag the 1 Stop Speed 5.60 championship points lead away from current leader Dustin Lee next weekend. Only four points separate the two from the top spot. The top ten contenders in the class still have a shot at the championship, but it’s not going to be an easy path for many of them. Only one hundred and eighty points separate number ten from number one. Next weekend’s event could shake up the order, giving many racers hope for a championship title at the season’s last event.

Mickey Thompson Tires Top Sportsman
The quickest ET bikes at the track will be showcased in the Mickey Thompson Top Sportsman class next weekend. Jimmie Miller has not taken a win this season in the class, but his steady stream of win lights has earned him a nine-point lead over the class. The chase for the championship is wide-open at this point; with a different winner every event, there is no guessing where the order will shake out by Sunday night. The winner of this thirty-two bike field not only takes home a $2,000 payout but also advances into round five of Pro ET competition for a chance at a second win and a potential $7,000 payout for the weekend.

MPS Racing Pro ET
The MPS Racing Pro ET points leader, Jimmie Miller, is coming off a win and looking to build on that momentum as he leads the point chase by a mere twenty points. There are still a lot of racers that can grab the championship in this class, but they will need to turn on a lot of green lights next weekend to firm up their chances before the season comes to a close next month back at Maryland International Raceway.

The Brock’s Performance Street ET class is a tight race at the top of the leader board, with only twenty points separating Mark Blake and Derrick Milbourne. But even though they sit at the top, the top twenty racers still have a chance at a 2022 championship. Anyone can win on Sunday! New racers are welcome at all XDA events; come out and learn how to drag race with us next weekend!

The XDA will also hold competition in the Saturday VooDoo Bracket Bash and Friday night Hard Times Parts & Service Gambler’s race giving sportsman racers another $9,300 in payouts to be earned over the weekend.

Load up and head out to Virginia Motorsports Park in one week for an exciting weekend of motorcycle drag racing action. This will be our last time at VMP this season; you don’t want to miss the best motorcycle drag racing show on the east coast. Racing so nice they’re doing it twice. The Midwest’s largest motorcycle drag racing series—NHDRO—is coming right down the return road to the head of Edgewater Sports Park’s staging lanes for the Summer Nationals presented by Page Racing on August 5-7.

NHDRO’s three races in one weekend format paid off well when the recent July Nationals presented by APE Raceparts faced a Sunday rainout. Making racing economical by giving competitors three days of racing at every event meant that two days of NHDRO Big Checks had already been distributed. And what with racing right here centrally in Ohio, NHDRO is delivering more smiles per mile of travel to motorcycle drag racers.

Friday night is Shootout time, with NHDRO Delay Box, No-Box, Road Course, Schnitz Racing Top Gas, No-Time/Grudge, and 55-and-older Shootouts.

A whole new program of NHDRO points racing starts with MPS Pro ET and Kevin Dennis Insurance Street ET timed runs at 9:00 am on Saturday—and repeats on Sunday for two complete days of class racing following Friday’s full slate of Shootouts—three full days of competition for the cost of one drive.

Schnitz Racing Top Gas, Advanced Sleeve Dirty 30, MTC Super Comp, M2.Shocks 8.70 Quick Street, Pro Ultra 4.60, Pro Street, MPS Pro ET and Kevin Dennis Insurance Street ET will all see two Big Checks apiece handed out this weekend, along with a second Road Course Shootout on Saturday. VooDoo Grudge will entertain on until midnight on Friday and Saturday nights as well

Winners and runner-ups from last time at Edgewater are a virtual “who’s who” of Midwestern and National motorcycle drag racing superstars: Ohio’s multi-time champ Jeremy Teasley, Edgewater regular Jeremy England, Defiance’s gizmo wizard Greg Mallett, Quick Street season champion Marty White, Iowa wheelie bar legends Tom and Joe Klemme, Cleveland no-bar hitman Kevin Adams, Jeremy Hines Jr., Donnie Emerson, Rylan Rowe, Jim “Just a Swangin’” Swanger, B.J. Evans, Roger Wilhelm, Dave Beshara, Tom Guzan, Jaden Hall, Big Joe Holt, Chad Fleener, Bill Deshong, Justin Hodge, Brandon Holland and more will all aim for similar or better results this time down the Edgewater 1320.

Weekend wristband is $45, Saturday after 5:00pm is $25. Arriving on a motorcycle after 5:00pm on Saturday? Pay only $10 per person.

If you arrive on Friday, you must purchase a weekend band. If you leave before 11:00pm Friday, you will be refunded $20 and you band cut off.

Monster Energy® Kawasaki Rider Jason Anderson Secures Consecutive Podium Finish at Washougal

Foothill Ranch, Calif. (July 24, 2022) – Round 8 of the 2022 AMA Pro Motocross Championship headed to the Pacific Northwest in Washougal, Washington, where Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Jason Anderson claimed his fourth overall podium finish with a third-place result. Fellow Monster Energy® Kawasaki rider Joey Savatgy capitalized on two superb starts to earn seventh overall with 7-7 moto scores. In the 250 Class, Monster Energy®/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider Jo Shimoda mastered the forests of Washougal to claim third overall (3-3), while teammate Seth Hammaker battled to respectable 5-8 moto finishes for sixth overall.

The evergreens of the Pacific Northwest provided a picturesque background for the 41st running of the Washougal MX National as a sea of fans cheered on the world’s elite motocross racers. Drastic changes in elevation, dark shadows and mixed soil conditions offered unique challenges for all riders from the start of qualifying. The 450 Class qualifying sessions began with both Anderson and Savatgy recording lap times inside the top-10 before electing to make slight bike adjustments to better suit the slick track conditions. As the second qualifying session began winding down, Anderson recorded a 2:11.361 lap time to qualify third overall. An accident towards the end of the second session cost Savatgy the opportunity to better his 2:14.155 time from the first session but was still fast enough to rank the No.17 ninth fastest heading into Moto 1.

The start of 450 Moto 1 would see both Monster Energy Kawasaki riders emerge from the first turn inside the top-5. Anderson and Savatgy utilized the power of their KX™450SR motorcycles to keep the leaders within reach early on. A mistake by Anderson on Lap 2 would drop the No.21 back to seventh however, a quick recovery allowed the New Mexico native to maneuver past his competitors and back into fourth place within one lap. Running 15 seconds behind his closest championship points rival, Anderson steadily chipped away at the deficit as the race progressed. With less than 10 minutes left in the moto, Anderson placed heavy pressure on the rider in third before lighting up the roars of the crowd by making the pass for the podium. Meanwhile, the No.17 was engrossed in a three-rider battle for sixth nearly the entire duration of the race. When the checkered flag flew, Anderson crossed the line in third and Savatgy finished seventh.

The second 450 Class moto began with both Monster Energy Kawasaki riders again crossing the holeshot line inside the top-5. The No.21 established himself in third from the start of the race and briefly latched onto the leaders pace, but slick conditions and deep ruts made it difficult for Anderson to match the pace. Savatgy settled into fifth early in the race but came under heavy pressure around Lap 4. Unwilling to concede the position, Savatgy raised the pace and focused forward. This pressure forced a mistake by the rider ahead, allowing Savatgy to capitalize and secure fourth for a couple laps before a mistake of his own dropped him three positions. At the finish, Anderson secured his second consecutive podium result with a third overall (3-3), while Savatgy brought home a respectable seventh overall with 7-7 finishes.

“Being the third best guy out there is hard to accept. I expect to be up front every round and I’ve proven I have the speed to do it, but we just didn’t have it today. The guys up front were running a crazy pace. All in all, it was still a good day for us and we made up points in the race for third in the championship. We’ll try to keep this podium streak going as we head into the final four rounds.” – Jason Anderson

“I had a scary moment in practice after I caught my foot in a rut coming off the face of a tabletop. It could’ve been really bad but I’m happy I was able to save that one. Overall, seventh is right around where I expect to be right now. Obviously, I’d like to be up front with the leaders, but we’re making progress. If I can keep fighting for the fourths, fifths and sixths until the end of the season I’ll be proud.” – Joey Savatgy

Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider Seth Hammaker was poised to improve on his seventh-place result from last weekend as he set the fourth fastest time in 250 Class qualifying (2:13.741).

Meanwhile, Shimoda clocked in the seventh fastest lap (2:14.252) overall.

At the start of Moto 1, Shimoda launched his KX™250 out the gate to claim the holeshot and the lead. Teammate Hammaker was also out to a great start, emerging from the first turn in fourth. With a clear track ahead, the Japanese-born sensation tried to break away from the pack but was instantly met with heavy pressure from the rider in second. The No.30 had the crowd on their feet as he defended attack after attack from his opponent for four laps before conceding the position. The pressure didn’t stop there, however, as Shimoda was again faced with pressure from another competitor behind. The roars of the crowd followed Shimoda around the track as he used a combination of raw speed and optimal line selection to maintain second position. The intense battle reached its climax when the No.30 dropped to third. Fellow Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider Hammaker was sitting comfortably in fourth most of the race before a former 250 Class Championship began creeping up behind him. Unphased by his opponent, Hammaker upped his pace and fended off his attacker for six laps before settling for fifth. When the checkered flag came out, Shimoda crossed the line in third and Hammaker was not far behind in fifth.

The second 250 Class moto hosted green out front again as Shimoda came across the holeshot line in third and Hammaker close behind in fifth. A quick pass by the No.30 moved him into second before the end of the opening lap. With only one rider in front, Shimoda began to slowly chip at the leader’s advantage until he was caught in a battle of his own to maintain second place. Shimoda did all he could to hold last year’s 250 Class champion at bay but a slight bobble down the backside of Horsepower Hill saw the No.30 move into third. The battles for Shimoda continued down to the checkered flag as he put on a heroic effort to hold off the Moto 1 winner for the last two laps of the race and cross the finish line in third. Hammaker, comfortably in fifth for much of the race, faced a mid-moto push by the riders behind who caught up to the No.47 and moved him back to eighth by the time the checkered flag flew. Despite Shimoda’s brilliant 3-3 performances, the swapping of positions from the top four riders awarded the No.30 fourth overall with his teammate Hammaker securing sixth (5-8).

I was able to stick with the leaders for a long time and win some hard battles which is nice because I think my speed was off today. Next week we’re going to do some more practicing before taking a little break to recharge during the off weekend so we can finish the season strong.” – Jo Shimoda
