S&S CYCLE ANNOUNCES VINTAGE TOUR 2025

Live from Daytona Beach the first glimpse.

S&S Cycle 2025 Tour

In 2003 S&S Cycle surprised the v-twin industry with the release of a 145ci engine to commemorate our 45th Anniversary and Harley-Davidson’s 100th, but that wasn’t the biggest surprise. When five custom bike builders stepped up to create bikes that showcased the monster engine and have their creations ride on the S&S Cycle truck all year, that rocked the industry. Builders coming together, working as a team and putting individual promotion aside to support S&S in celebration of the v-twin industry was a new concept regarding ‘build-offs’.

In succession S&S followed up with The 124 Tour, The Shovel Tour, The World Builders Showcase Tour and, of course, one of the most memorable bike events in history, the S&S 50th Anniversary. In each of these tours, custom builders came together to show the industry what camaraderie and team spirit really looks like.

After a 17-year hiatus, S&S Cycle is bringing back a tour. But not just any tour, no, this one digs into our roots—The S&S Cycle Vintage Tour. The tour will showcase three of our vintage powerplants and six incredibly talented builders. There were no rules, no limits on creativity, in fact we asked the builders to build what was in their hearts not to a style we were looking for.

“In years past, S&S worked closely with industry leaders and builders in celebration of creativity and teamwork within the v-twin industry.  Each project we pursued was memorable and a bonding event for S&S Cycle, the builders, enthusiasts, and the industry alike.  Our aim in rejuvenating these builds is to reestablish that creativity and teamwork and have a whole lot of fun!  I want to thank Howard Kelly for returning to S&S and taking on the responsibility of leading our marketing department and the Vintage Tour.   Teach, Chip, Brian, Chris, Mike and Xavier, thank you for your time, effort, and creativity; now, let’s go have fun and share what you’ve built with everyone else!” Brett Smith, Director, S&S Cycle.

The bikes will be unveiled to the public at Daytona Bike Week, 2/28 at 10:00AM and everyone is invited! Our display will be at the J&P Cycles lot at Destination Daytona. This unveiling celebrates both the coolness of the bikes being built (and yes, in true custom fashion, they are still being built at the time of this writing) and the incredible group of men who came together to be a team and show the custom industry just how much fun can be had working towards a common goal.

Said Howard Kelly, S&S Cycle Senior Director of Marketing, “I have had the privilege of being involved in all of the S&S tours as both an industry member and an S&S employee. Having almost daily interaction with this group and seeing their excitement and support of each other reminds me of just how much fun all the tours were and the friendships they created.”

The bikes will tour with the S&S Cycle truck to Daytona Bike Week, the Donnie Smith Show, Born Free California, and culminate in Sturgis, South Dakota for the 85th Annual Sturgis Rally!

It’s Almost Spring Advocates Soon Flocking To DC

There are two clear signs that springtime is coming to Washington, D.C. The first is busloads of school kids making the trip to our nation’s capital to learn about how the government works and visit museums and monuments. The second sign is long lines of people trying to enter the U.S. Capitol complex.

The U.S. Capitol is surrounded by six office buildings that house the 535 members of Congress and their staff. Every year, beginning in late February and running through June, those buildings are packed with government officials, tourists, lobbyists, and most importantly, citizen advocates. These five months are the “busy season” on Capitol Hill. This is when Americans from across the country visit D.C. to educate lawmakers about issues that matter to them.

While many groups and organizations visit Congress to advocate issues, few are more visible or beloved than motorcyclists. For 15 years, the Motorcycle Riders Foundation has conducted our “Bikers Inside the Beltway” event. During this time, the annual event has grown in size and scope, with bikers from coast to coast making the trek to D.C. to advocate for their fellow riders. It has become a day that congressional offices prepare for and embrace!

As we exit winter and look towards Spring, it’s time to get fired up about the 16th annual Bikers Inside the Beltway! This year’s event will be May 19th and 20th. Without question, these two days are the most impactful days we have as motorcyclist rights advocates!

The countdown is on. In just 80 days, bikers will take our message to Capitol Hill.

Spring is coming… are you coming to Bikers Inside the Beltway?
