Thorough analysis by Clintel shows serious errors in latest IPCC report

Amsterdam, 9 May 2023
* IPCC hides good news about disaster losses and climate-related deaths * IPCC wrongly claimed the estimate of climate sensitivity is above 2.5°C; it is more likely below 2°C * IPCC misleads policy makers by focusing on an implausible worst-case emissions scenario * Errors in the AR6 report are worse than those that led to the IAC Review in 2010 The IPCC ignored crucial peer-reviewed literature showing that normalised disaster losses have decreased since 1990 and that human mortality due to extreme weather has decreased by more than 95% since 1920. The IPCC, by cherry picking from the literature, drew the opposite conclusions, claiming increases in damage and mortality due to anthropogenic climate change. These are two important conclusions of the report The Frozen Climate Views of the IPCC, published by the Clintel Foundation. The 180-page report is – as far as we know – the first serious international ‘assessment’ of the IPCC’s Sixth Assessment Report. In 13 chapters the Clintel report shows the IPCC rewrote climate history, emphasizes an implausible worst-case scenario, has a huge bias in favour of ‘bad news’ and against ‘good news’, and keeps the good news out of the Summary for Policy Makers. The errors and biases that Clintel documents in the report are far worse than those that led to the investigation of the IPCC by the Interacademy Council (IAC Review) in 2010. Clintel believes that the IPCC should reform or be dismantled. With the recently published Synthesis Report, the IPCC finished its sixth assessment cycle, consisting of seven reports in total. An international team of scientists from the Clintel network has analysed several claims from the Working Group 1 (The Physical Science Basis) and Working Group 2 (Impacts, Adaptation and Vulnerability) reports. This has now led to the report The Frozen Climate Views of the IPCC. In every chapter the Clintel report documents biases and errors in the IPCC assessment. The errors are worse in the WG2 report than in the WG1 report. Given the political relevance of what is known as “Loss and Damage” (at the yearly COP meetings, countries currently negotiate donations to a Loss and Damage fund) one would expect a thorough review of the relevant literature. However, Clintel shows that the IPCC has totally failed in this respect. For example, a review article on the subject, published in 2020, showed that 52 out of 53 peer reviewed papers dealing with “normalised disaster losses” saw no increase in harms that could be attributed to climate change. The IPCC highlighted the single paper that claimed an increase in losses. That paper is – unsurprisingly – flawed, but its cherry picking by the IPCC suggests they found its conclusions irresistible. Climate-related deathsWe are on a highway to climate hell”, said UN-boss Guterres recently. But an in-depth look at the mortality data shows that climate-related deaths are at an all-time low. Well-known economist Bjorn Lomborg published that important information in a 2020 peer-reviewed paper, but the IPCC, again, chose to ignore it. The strategy of the IPCC seems to be to hide any good news about climate change and hype anything bad. Erasing climate history The Working Group 1 report is not free from bias and misleading conclusions either. The report documents problems in every chapter. The IPCC has tried to rewrite climate history by erasing the existence of the so-called Holocene Thermal Maximum (or Holocene Climate Optimum), a warm period between 10,000 and 6000 years ago. It has introduced a new hockey stick graph, which is the result of cherry-picked proxies. And it has ignored temperature reconstructions that show more variability in the past, such as the well-documented Little Ice Age. The IPCC claims there is an acceleration in the rate of sea-level rise in recent decades. Clintel has shown this claim is flawed, because the IPCC ignores decadal variability in sea level. We also show that its sea-level tool – made available for the first time – shows a mysterious and improbable jump upward in 2020. Climate sensitivity Canadian economist Ross McKitrick has pointed out that all global climate models used by the IPCC show too much warming in the troposphere, both globally and in the tropics (where models predict a ‘hotspot’). This probably indicates some fundamental problems in the way that these models simulate the climate system. A ’spectacular’ result of the IPCC AR6 report was the rise of the lower bound for the climate sensitivity likely range from 1.5°C to 2.5°C, therefore claiming that low values for climate sensitivity are now unlikely. The Clintel report shows this rise is not justified. The Clintel report suggests that observed warming and other evidence indicates that the true figure is more likely to be below 2°C than above 2.5°C. This also means that the best estimate for climate sensitivity, which the IPCC says is 3°C, is not justified. On top of that, the IPCC is ‘addicted’ to its highest emissions scenario, so-called RCP8.5 (or now SSP5-8.5). In recent years, several papers have demonstrated that this scenario is implausible and should not be used for policy purposes. Deep inside the WG1 report, the IPCC acknowledges that this scenario has a ‘low likelihood’ but this very important remark was not highlighted in the Summary for Policymakers, so these important audiences are unaware of the issue. RCP8.5 is the scenario most often referred to in the IPCC report. IAC Review Back in 2010, errors in the WG2 report of the Fourth Assessment led to the investigation of the IPCC by the Interacademy Council (IAC). This review recommended, amongst other things, that “[h]aving author teams with diverse viewpoints is the first step toward ensuring that a full range of thoughtful views are considered.” This important recommendation is still being ignored by the IPCC. Worse, we document that Roger Pielke Jr, a scientist with considerable expertise in these areas, is regarded as a kind of ‘Voldemort’ by the IPCC, and they deliberately avoid mentioning his work or even his name. This leads to biased conclusions. Reform We are sorry to conclude that the IPCC has done a poor job of assessing the scientific literature. All countries rely on the IPCC reports to support their climate policies and most of the media blindly trust its claims. The Clintel report The Frozen Climate Views of the IPCC shows that this trust is not justified. In our view the IPCC should be reformed, and should include a broader range of views. Inviting scientists with different views, such as Roger Pielke Jr and Ross McKitrick, to participate more actively in the process is a necessary first step. If, for some reason, such inclusion of different views is unacceptable, the IPCC should be dismantled. Our own conclusions about climate – based on the same underlying literature – are far less bleak. Due to increasing wealth and advancing technology, humanity is largely immune to climate change and can easily cope with it. Global warming is far less dangerous to humanity than the IPCC tells us. THE TIME-SENSITIVE BIKERNET WEEKLY NEWS for June 8, 2023

Hey,

Everything today is time sensitive. Hell, if you buy a coffee maker, it has a time sensitive carbon filter, that must be replace on time or… Then there’s every political pitch you receive on your phone or in your email. I’m concerned the funds never reach the candidate.

Of course, there’s climate doom and if we don’t fix everything on time, we’re doomed. I just started to read a college presentation by Alex Epstein. We are very fortunate to have him. So, a student at Gettysburg College asked him about Bill McKibben’s book Economy Class. It’s a book about all the negative side effects of Fossil Fuels from an economic perspective. Of course, this book is all about doom.

Alex pointed-out the major flaw in Bill’s book. It doesn’t cover the positive side effects of using fossil fuels, which are massive. The fact that he only covers one side of the issue, basically throws his book out the window.

You can read more from Alex at Energytalkingpoints.com

He is giving us all the real data on the Climate Doom issue, both sides of the story. Let’s hit the news:

MEETING OF THE MINDS 2023 – LISTENING & MAKING A DIFFERENCE
The Motorcycle Riders Foundation listens.

Culminating 18 months of planning and fulfilment, the MRF ended Meeting of the Minds 2022 by reviewing input from over three hundred attendees.

Meeting of the Minds 2023 will reflect that the MRF listens and what we heard will make a difference in building the MRF and strong partner state motorcyclists’ rights organizations.

Bikers inside the Beltway 2023 was a total success because of the work the MRF does at the Meeting of the Minds addressing the needs of members and our partner SMROs. The feedback we received from MOTM 2022 put us on track with new workshops, more workshops, and new presenters with topical presentations.

This year, we added four workshops for a total of sixteen! Although some workshops are updates of annual presentations, we’ve added ten new presenters and a slew of new topics.

If you or your SMRO is social media challenged, meet Joy Mack. She’s a Twenty-First Century wizard who understands the challenges individuals and SMROs face when delving into social media. Her workshop — The Power of Social Media: A Catalyst for Recruitment — is tailored to putting the “social media challenged” into a comfort zone – and because we know her workshop will have high demand; we’re offering it twice!

Wondering why the MRF and our partner SMROs have such a high success rate on Capitol Hill and state legislatures? Meet Steve Panten, he and Dave Dwyer will provide attendees a few hundred ways on Building Effective Legislative Lobbying Efforts, another key to positive advocacy for motorcyclists’ rights.

With 63 units sold globally for Q1, LiveWire ONE electric motorcycles sales were off 13% and consolidated revenue was reported to be down 25% year-over-year.

Electric Motorcycles revenue was down 36% in the first quarter, due to lower unit sales of LiveWire ONE units and the inclusion of Harley-Davidson LiveWire units in Q1 2022 prior to the accounting carve-out.

Electric Motorcycles revenue was down 36% in the first quarter, due to lower unit sales of LiveWire ONE units and the inclusion of Harley-Davidson LiveWire units in Q1 2022 prior to the accounting carve-out, notes Morrissey.

The group’s other brand, STACYC was also off in Q1. STACYC revenue was down 22% in the first quarter, due to our channel partners for electric balance bikes taking a more conservative approach to inventory in response to the macro environment as compared to the first quarter of 2022.

STACYC’s operating loss for the first quarter was negative $0.1 million versus operating income of $1.0 million a year ago, driven by lower volumes.

First Quarter 2023 Business Highlights:

• Sold 63 LiveWire ONE electric motorcycles compared to 72 LiveWire ONE electric motorcycles in the prior year.

• Continued development of the Del Mar platform during the quarter to ready Del Mar for production ramp-up with first deliveries targeted for Q3 2023.

NEW HARLEY-DAVIDSON CVO MOTORCYCLES
DELIVER EXTRAORDINARY DESIGN, PERFORMANCE AND TECHNOLOGY

CVO Street Glide and CVO Road Glide Powered by Milwaukee-Eight VVT 121 Engine

Harley-Davidson elevates the motorcycle riding experience with the mid-year introduction of two premium 2023 models from Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO). The new CVO Street Glide and CVO Road Glide models showcase advanced technology, enhanced rider comfort and dynamic performance propelled by the powerful new Milwaukee-Eight VVT 121 engine. Exclusive and dramatic new visual designs present a transformative revision of the Harley-Davidson Grand American Touring platform.

Iconic Design, Redefined

The new CVO Street Glide and CVO Road Glide models feature stunning new design clearly evolved from the familiar shapes of previous Harley-Davidson Grand American Touring motorcycles.

Both models feature fairings with integrated venting and LED signature lighting with integrated turn signals. Additional design elements include a trimmed front fender, a new 6-gallon fuel tank with a distinctive side bevel, and saddlebags with a three-dimensional shape in harmony with the fairings and fuel tank.

The new Combo Cast Laced wheels make a bold custom statement with a black machine-cut cast-aluminum rim and laced spokes. Each model will be offered in two highly detailed finish options.

Pinnacle Performance

The new 121-cubic inch V-Twin Milwaukee-Eight VVT 121 engine establishes a new benchmark for factory-installed torque and displacement available in a Harley-Davidson Touring motorcycle and features optimized liquid-cooled cylinder heads with a new cooling system, variable valve timing (VVT), a new intake tract and performance exhaust system.

Dry weight has been reduced significantly – by 31 pounds for the CVO Street Glide model and by 35 pounds for the CVO Road Glide model – compared to the models they replace.

High-performance front and rear SHOWA suspension components promote confident handling and provide a dramatic improvement in rider comfort compared to previous CVO models, with rear suspension travel increased by 50 percent. Premium Brembo braking components offer outstanding braking feel and performance for added rider confidence.

For the first time the CVO Street Glide and CVO Road Glide models offer selectable Ride Modes – Road, Sport and Rain – that electronically control a specific combination of power delivery, engine braking, Cornering-Antilock Braking System (C-ABS) and Cornering-Traction Control System (C-TCS) settings.

The CVO Street Glide and CVO Road Glide models will make a U.S. public debut in Milwaukee during the Harley-Davidson Homecoming Festival, July 13-16, 2023. Both models will reach authorized Harley-Davidson dealer showrooms globally in mid-July.

BIKERNET BOOK OF THE WEEK CLUB–Publisher: Veloce

By Brian Agnew & Ivan Rhodes

Hardback • 20.7x25cm • 128 pages • 97 pictures

An in-depth engineering analysis of the twin-cylinder motorcycles produced by Veloce Ltd: the Roarer, the Model O and the LE. The book looks at the design features that are common to all three twins, as well as the design influences of the LE.

Although development of the LE was flawed, the honesty and ingenuity of the design is duly recognized.

The Veloce company is well regarded for producing some of the best single-cylinder motorcycles in race form and for private use.

It is not so well-known that Veloce Ltd also produced some twin-cylinder machines: the Roarer, for racing, and the Model O for production. These bikes had many engineering features in common, such as twin contra-rotating crank shafts, inline cranks, shaft drive, and swing arm rear suspension.

The supercharged Roarer was never raced because of the advent of war; this also put paid to the development of the Model O, which would have been the first so-called “Superbike.”

After the war, the Goodman family, owners of Veloce Ltd, focused on the production of a “Motorcycle for Everyman” – an idea that had featured in their production bikes since the formation of the company. They drew on the ideas embodied in the Roarer and the Model O to produce the twin cylinder LE range of motorcycles. These, however, were not well received by the motorcycling public, and many blame the production of the LE for the eventual demise of the company.

The purpose of the book is to present, from an engineering perspective, an analysis of the Roarer and the Model O, comparing and contrasting the methods adopted by their designers to meet the different design specifications of these bikes, and to illustrate how the ideas developed in this exercise appeared in the LE range of motorcycles.

The authors, Brian Agnew and Ivan Rhodes, met in the 1960s when Brian worked at Rolls-Royce Derby. They spent their weekends tinkering with motorcycles, and both have an intimate knowledge of the Velocette twins both from their time spent together and from their personal projects.

WATCH WHAT’S COMING FROM THE GREASY KULTURE

A ’60s style chopper saved from ’90s style hell!

The nineties wasn’t a golden era for motorcycle customizing: Panheads like Joe Juran’s were subjected to ugly disc-brake front ends and puke paint jobs; luckily he dragged this one out of a Florida garage where it had sat unchanged for over 30 years and treated it to a rebuild more befitting its era. And doesn’t it look fine?

THE FREE SPEECH CASE FILE WIDE OPEN–

TELEGRAPH: UK Govt., BBC, And Google-Facebook Secretly Censored
Special investigation spectacularly proves the reality of the Censorship Industrial Complex

I wish we had better news. Governments around the world remain close to passing and enacting laws to drastically curtail the freedom of citizens to express their minds. And in the US, corporate advertisers, including Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream, are punishing Twitter owner Elon Musk for protecting freedom of speech at Twitter.

We are fighting back. From June 22 – 23 in London, Matt Taibbi, Russell Brand, and free speech defenders from around the world will gather in London to launch a new free speech movement.

To be sure, our opponents are strong and united, while we are weak and divided. We have never met the free speech defenders we are meeting around the world. We only know each other through video, emails, and messages. We have never before solicited donations for free speech advocacy and have little money to pay for travel and accommodations for the people flying into London.

But we have something our opponents don’t, which is the love of freedom and a passion to protect and expand it. While the forces of self-censorship and censorship are powerful, large majorities of citizens everywhere in the world want the right to express their views freely and without risk of being censored or otherwise punished.

And now, the mainstream media are finally covering the truth. After months and years of the media and governments lying about their censorship, calling the exceedingly well-documented Censorship Industrial Complex a “conspiracy theory,” mainstream newspapers are starting to cover the truth.

Dewey Simms’ 1919 Indian Daytona “Big Valve” Single

Authentic documents show that dirt track racer Dewey Simms created this bike using a mid-‘teens frame and a 1919 Indian Daytona V-Twin engine. But he blocked off one cylinder so the bike could compete with other 30.50 machines, 500cc bikes. In the photos at the end of this story you can compare the engine in this racer to the standard V-Twin Daytona Racers in the Board Track Racing display at the Museum.
Factory competition was fierce and expensive in this pre-Class C era.

As long as the machine was of the class displacement anything could be raced, hand built or serial production. Using a state of the art Daytona side-valve engine, Simms assembled a dropped factory racing handle bar, narrow unsprung race forks, a ‘teens frame and wheels and built a competitive machine.

The full loop style frame lowers the engine and rider for better handling. Controls include spark advance and compression release, both controlled via the twist-grips, also a throttle and a kill switch. Racing carburetor design made engines work best wide open.

The rider had to work the pump on the oil tank every so often to send a charge of lubricant to the main bearings. As with this machine, racing machines of the era ran power through a “jack-shaft” which allowed for some gear reduction.

Rider accommodations were minimal; the seat is not sprung and fork and frame are a rigid design. No brakes were allowed on dirt and board track bikes until the 1960’s by F.A.M. and later, AMA rules.

This storied Indian racer is on loan from Dave Ohrt of Iowa. It is currently displayed as part of the Early American Transportation INNOVATION exhibition featuring numerous rare early motorcycles, bicycles and cycle cars plus the 1911 Steco bi-plane.

It will be among hundreds of motorcycles and thousands of pieces of memorabilia offered in the John Parham Estate Collection Mecum Auction at the National Motorcycle Museum, Anamosa, Iowa, September 6 – 9, 2023. Watch for information on the Mecum Auctions website, Mecum.com

NEBRASKA HELMET LAW REPEAL–Let Those Who Ride Decide – State #33

On June 1st, Nebraska governor Jim Pillen signed into law a motorcycle helmet modification bill, which allows riders to choose if they wear a helmet. Congratulations to the motorcyclists in Nebraska, ABATE of Nebraska and all the groups in Nebraska who for years fought to have helmet choice in the Cornhusker State.

Nebraska State Senator Ben Hansen originally introduced the language, which was included in a larger transportation bill that passed the legislature at the end of May. Effective January 1, 2024, an individual age 21 and older, who has completed a certified motorcycle safety course may now choose whether or not to wear a helmet, provided the rider uses protective eye equipment.

In 2020, Missouri passed a helmet choice bill leaving Nebraska as the sole state in the Midwest that required all riders to wear a helmet. With this new law, Nebraska now joins its neighboring states and becomes the 33rd state allowing helmet choice.

For 34 years riders in Nebraska have sought the freedom to decide whether to wear a helmet. This victory is a testament to the handiwork, determination and passion of all those involved. The Motorcycle Riders Foundation (MRF) has long championed the belief that “those who ride should decide.”

When hearing the news, MRF President, Kirk “Hardtail” Willard said, “Grass roots activism at its finest, it is encouraging to see that there are still politicians and bureaucrats in this great country of ours that bend to common sense and the will of the people. Given the nanny state of our society today, it is an outstanding achievement by ABATE of Nebraska and other involved motorcyclists in earning their freedom of choice.”

This message from “Rouge,” State Coordinator for ABATE of Nebraska, Todd C. Miller should inspire us all. “It is hard to explain what this bill means to me. I was mentored and encouraged by so many. I am turning 60 and had the privilege to ride in this state prior to the mandatory helmet law enacted in 1989.

“Over the years, I have lost many friends, colleagues, brothers and freedom fighters who were on the frontlines of this fight. It is hard to encourage a group of young riders that have never ridden free in Nebraska, for us, that was anyone under the age of 50!

“So, in honor of all of those we have lost, I am very proud to say the next generation of riders will know what it means to ride free in this state. I pray they make memories, enjoy the ride here in Nebraska and become emboldened with the same desire I, and so many others, had to defend our rights in the years to come. We all know the fight is NOT over.

“I would like to Honor my Board of Directors/State Officers both past and present for sticking with the plan… and making it happen. My legislative officers over the years who helped keep us focused and get us there one step at a time, including Charles Thomas, Scott Lucey, Gary Neeman and my current Legislative Representative Randy Geer. Last and certainly not least, my wife and State Membership Secretary, Sheri Miller for all the late nights, weekends, and continued support.

“My list of outstanding contributors also includes Rick Backer, Jimmy Wray, Jodi Wessel, and Duane ‘Drano’ Goff, all of whom are no longer with us …”

Congratulations Nebraska!

A LETTER TO BIKERNET FROM DUSTY JOHNSON–

Thank you for contacting me to share your support for science-based decision making at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Like you, I believe science should be the backbone of decision making at the EPA. In 2012, the EPA issued its Scientific Integrity Policy to provide a framework promoting scientific and ethical standards of which the agency would operate.

I have seen the EPA’s commitment to science-based decisions firsthand since arriving in Congress. Rest assured, I will remember your comments as legislation related to the EPA is considered in the House of Representatives. As Congress discusses ways to best protect our environment, I will be sure to act with the best interest of South Dakotans in mind.

Thanks again for sharing your views, as I appreciate hearing from you. Please feel free to contact me whenever I can be of assistance.

–Dusty Johnson
Member of Congress

“He missed the point and defended the EPA. I will stay on top of this.”

RIGHTS OF THE PEOPLE and Communist idiocy

The ruling Communist Government in the State of Kerala (India) believes more than two people are safe on a two-wheeler, including children.

Editor’s Note: India is a unique democracy where communist parties are also given freedom to contest elections and become lawful representatives of the citizens if they win. That’s “too much democracy” for Western nations but the incredibly liberal constitution of India allows it.

The so-called most literate State of Kerala needs to be educated that two-wheelers are not designed to carry more than two people.

Not prudent to allow more than two persons on two-wheelers: Centre

This response comes even as the ruling LDF government in Kerala was mulling whether to approach the Centre to amend the Motor Vehicles Act to a limited extent for permitting one child to travel with parents on a two-wheeler as being demanded by many in the southern state.

The Centre has made it clear that it was “not prudent” to allow a third person to travel on a two-wheeler as the same was prohibited under the law and motorcycles or scooters were universally designed to carry only two people.

This was Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari’s response to a plea by CPI(M) MP Elamaram Kareem requesting that children up to the age of 10 years be allowed to travel as a third person on two-wheelers on following necessary safety measures, like wearing helmets.

QUICK, New Bikernet Reader Comment!–The Life and Times of Hal Robinson

https://www.bikernet.com/pages/The_Life_and_Times_of_Hal_Robinson.aspx

Ann, Appreciate the insight on Hal and his and your life. Thank you for taking the time to put these words on paper. Hal was a master of cartooning and I put him on top of the list and so would many others.

I couldn’t wait for the newest Easyriders to come out back in the day to see what Hal would lay down with his pen and paper. It was always outrageous, cool, mind twisting and was illustrated flawlessly.

Thank you again Ann, for your story and thanks Bandit for your Bikernet. Have a great day…

BIKERNET ROCKS THE RALLY

We mentioned these billboards in a previous news. The local billboard company, Lamar, runs these political billboards for free and calls them PSAs, or Public Service Announcements.

We are going to run a contrary billboard this year. Here’s a recent billboard professing a similar notion.

We just keep pushing for the truth, mostly for our lifestyle and kids.

Lane Splitting for Life

She called during rush hour in Phoenix. Hot enough to melt asphalt, Mudd straddled his Dyna and slid into traffic.

Had to get to his pregnant girl on time. Only one thing to do, twist his throttle to the stops. Lane splitting still wasn’t legal.

Mud didn’t care, as he tore between frustrated, honking drivers. Taking out a sideview mirror, he nearly went down. Police sirens blared. Angry motorists cut him off. An accident ahead stopped all movement. He kept his throttle pegged as he darted the onto Highway winding into Scottsdale. He squinted against the glare, braked, screamed, screeched but slid into the hospital parking lot on time.

FIRST QUARTER MOTORCYCLE SALES OFF

The Motorcycle Industry Council announces the Q1 numbers are in. Most market segments are off the Q1 2022 pandemic bubble record highs, but still trending well ahead of the 2020 mark. Total On-Highway motorcycle sales in Q1 were 64,940 units, down -7.4%. Scooter sales took the biggest hit down nearly 43%. However there were a couple bright spots.

The newly reported Dual Sport/ADV segment was up +7.9% (18,703 units). Traditional Off-Highway motorcycle sales were also up +6.5% (38,561 units). This is certainly good news to John Hinz, CEO of KTM North America, Inc., and newly elected MIC vice chair. He believes knowledge is power and there is real value in data.

XDA Racers Power to Record Performances at VMP

The XDA’s 37th Annual MTC Engineering Summer Nationals delivered record performances and a flawless event to Virginia Motorsports Park again.

The biggest and best show in motorcycle drag racing gave the east coast an action-packed event under cooler-than-normal skies that allowed the performance numbers to outshine the glassy surface of the VMP 1320.

The rider talent and tuning in Orient Express Racing Pro Street reached a new level turning out the quickest field in history! With twenty-two entries, Jason Dunigan earned the number one qualifying spot with a 6.430 at 230.80 mph, while Jordan Angelo held the sixteenth position with a 6.815 at 211.06 mph, the quickest bump spot in history. With an all-six-second field, the competition on Sunday was set to be phenomenal, with a forecast in the mid 70’s.

During qualifying, Aruba’s Jayson Geerman with Team DME ran his personal best of 6.755 to move him into the top forties of the Orient Express Pro Street GOAT list. Geerman lined up next to Williford twice during qualifying and outran him both times. But that would prove to be a big mistake as Geerman drew Williford in round one of competition. Overnight, Williford turned his program around and ended Geerman’s weekend with his best run of the weekend at 6.428.

Brandon Litten also improved his personal best performance in qualifying, running a 6.613, and he would continue his decent on the GOAT list into eliminations with a 6.580 run in round one eliminations and a win against James Waugh. Litten would, unfortunately, be taken out in round two by Jason Dunigan with a 6.638 run.

Mark Renduluk with Team DME also made strides in his second outing in Pro Street when he lowered his ET to 6.533 during qualifying. He then became the fourteenth rider ever to enter the 6.40’s when he ran a 6.484 at 229.04 against Darion Payne in round two of eliminations. He improved that time in the semi-finals with a 6.473; however, that ET would be no match for Williford who ran 6.459 to advance to another final round.

Jason Dunigan and Rodney Williford are no strangers to each other in a final round. The last time these two met was last November at the Haltech World Cup Finals where Dunigan took his first win over Williford.

As the bulbs flashed, both bikes shot out like rockets, and you knew right away it would be a great race. Williford’s Hayabusa was out in front of Dunigan easily, but Dunigan was gaining on him, and by the finish line, Dunigan’s front wheel had caught up with Williford’s rear wheel. It was an incredibly close race, with Williford winning, running a 6.448 to Dunigan’s 6.457.

Williford remains undefeated this season at XDA…. for now.

DME Racing Real Street was a slugfest among former-class champions. David Stewart reset the records to a 7.435 at 198.47 mph in the first round of eliminations. Tech Inspector Will King tore his bike down to the studs and deemed him officially legal, earning him ten additional points.

Stewart would face 2021 champion Mark Hylton in round two and take a loss on a hole shot despite running a quicker 7.472 to Hylton’s 7.495 with a .007 reaction time.

Hylton would then take out David Fondon in the semi-finals with a 7.516. Hylton suffered motor damage during Saturday’s qualifying session. Still, his team stayed up past 2 am getting his Hayabusa back up and running to compete on Sunday, so heading to a final was satisfaction for Hylton and his team.

On the other side of the ladder, 2018 Champion Spencer Claycomb took a first-round win over George Cross. Cross ran a personal this best over the weekend with a 7.920 during qualifying and is already planning some upgrades to sharpen his program before the WPGC Bike Fest at Maryland International Raceway in July.

Claycomb went on to win against Anibal Merced and Rickey Gadson before getting to his first final since June of 2021.

In the final, Hylton looked to be the favorite for the win with his quicker ET’s during eliminations compared to Claycomb. But as the pair rolled up the starting line, Hylton had a problem, and XDA Starter Mikey had to start a countdown for a timeout.

Hylton’s team rectified the situation, and he rolled into the pre-stage beam with seconds to spare. The bulbs dropped, and Hylton cut a .059 light on Claycomb’s .096 but the advantage was short-lived as Hylton’s bike lost power at the 330′, and Claycomb flew past him to take the win!

Tommy Saxon led the MaxxECU Pro Xtreme class of eight riders qualifying with a 4.042. Saxon, John Collins and Dale Leeks took easy first-round wins when their competition suffered catastrophic failure during qualifying, keeping them from making the first round. Points leader Chris Cutsinger won over no-bar bike racer Chris Theodoridis.

In the semi-final, Saxon won over Dale Leeks with a 4.096 to a 4.168 and John Collins took out points leader with a hole-shot win with a .055 reaction time and 4.148 to Cutsinger’s .088 reaction and 4.125 ET.

Collins would gain the starting line advantage in the final with a .031 light to Saxon’s .054. Collins had the total package running 4.000 to the eighth mile at 184.62 to Saxon’s slower 4.044 ET.

MaxxECU Pro Xtreme is presented by Billy Vose Racing, Fast by Gast, Dunigan Racing, DME Racing, Grothus Dragbikes, Harley Haul, Rob Bush Motorsports, Robinson Industries, Schnitz Racing, Timblin Chassis, and Worldwide Bearings.

Curtis McDougald dominated HTP Performance Super Stock, qualifying number one with an 8.858 and making it to the final round. There he found Mike Davis, who desperately needs a wedding dress. In 2021 Davis made it to two finals that resulted in runner-up finishes. In 2022

Davis made it to four final rounds, leaving him a bridesmaid again with all runner-up finishes. Davis needs a win this season. Unfortunately, it would not be this past week as he went red at the tree with a -.017 to give the victory to the 2022 class champion Curtis McDougald.

Craig Edwards debuted in the turbo power-adder class of Boosted Bulls aboard ’99 Problems’. He left round one with 100 problems as Malcolm Phillips on ‘Billy Mays’ easily dispatched him out of competition. Craig Elliot on ‘Cotton Mouth’ left Geoff Godfrey on ‘Minion at the tree as he took off for the eighth-mile finish line. Godfrey couldn’t catch up, and Elliot would face Phillips in the final.

In the final Elliot would once again grab the starting line advantage; luckily for Phillips, his bike was tuned to catch up and power past Elliot to take ‘Billy Mays’ to its second consecutive win in the season.

APE Nitrous Bulls had stacks on stacks in play during round two of eliminations when Malcolm Phillips on ‘Strip Tease’ went up against Lavar Delee on ‘High Roller’. Delee forgot to have someone blow on his dice and had no luck keeping his front wheel down as Phillips powered on past him for the payday and the advancement to the finals.

Teasley on ‘Unhinged’ took out ‘Mister Jay’ piloted by Ronald Benjamin in round one. He then broke the beams in round two of eliminations with an earned bye to give him an easy path to the final. In the final, Teasley had no problems keeping ‘Unhinged’ under control as he left Phillips’ newly fat pockets at the starting line to rocket to the win.

Michael Thyen on ‘The Prisoner’ was on a winning spree at other events, but Josh Eubanks on ‘Belmont’ ended his good time when he took him out of action in round two. Eubanks went on to win against Ken Alston on ‘Leather Face’ and advanced to the final.

Mike Burkhart on ‘Atilla’ took wins over David Page on ‘Pickin Pockets’ and Brandon Tyree on ‘Made Man’ to line up against Eubanks in the final. Eubanks had problems with the throttle and leaves before the tree was activated to give the win to Burkhart.

Brandon Litten made a statement this past weekend in Tommie’s Motorsports DMV Bulls when the seventeen-year-old took ‘Butch Cassidy’ to a final after defeating Mark Blake on ‘Bounty Hunter, Alex Kupetz on ‘Money Business’ and Cody Lowe on ‘Plan B’ to land in the final opposite of Jeremy Teasley.

Teasley brought Rock Sanders on ‘Geronimo’, Derek Sobiech on ‘Night Stalker’ and Aubrey Valentine on ‘Stunna’ to the hall of the slain before his final stop at the finals.

Litten got the jump on Teasley at the tree, but Teasley quickly caught him and cut him down on ‘Valhalla’ to take his second win of the night.

For full qualifying and round-by-round results of the event, visit xdaracing.com.

The next stop for the 2023 XDA season will be back at the Maryland International Raceway for the 23rd annual WPGC Bike Fest on July 14-16, 2023. This is the biggest XDA event of the year! The event will feature Live Bands, Bikini Contest, Sound Competition, Custom Bike Show, Beer Garden with Bikini Bartenders, and a vendor midway full of great deals on motorcycle parts, accessories and apparel.

INNOVATION OF THE WEEK

The Man Who Invented the Trillion-Dollar Coin

An Atlanta lawyer was just spit-balling on a financial blog. He didn’t expect Washington to listen.

About a dozen years ago, a pseudonymous commenter on a financial website, writing under the name Beowulf, presented an unusual solution for a debt-ceiling standoff: If the federal government was at risk of default, and Congress couldn’t agree to either cut spending or raise the borrowing limit cleanly, couldn’t it simply mint a trillion-dollar coin?

“Congress screwed up,” Beowulf wrote. By passing the law, it had given the president the authority to direct the secretary of the Treasury to mint a coin of any value — say, $1 trillion — and deposit it in the Federal Reserve, which would be legally obligated to accept it.

Ultimately, the coin’s deposit would result in $1 trillion in government revenue or, with a coin of a different denomination, however much was needed to continue to pay its bills and avoid a default. “The catch is, it’s gotta be made of platinum,” Beowulf wrote. “Ditto the balls of any president who tried this.”

Minting the coin, in a strict sense, would cost a trillion dollars. What will be the cost, Mucha might argue, of not minting it?

I DON’T KNOW WHICH WAY TO GO—I apologize about constantly bringing up doomsday bullshit. I feel driven to keep at it until someone has the leadership balls to step up. I can’t give up on the truth or freedom.

That off my chest — I’m waiting on my Paul Cox primary drive to align the Knucklehead and perform final alignment with Irish Rich.

Speaking of Irish Rich and Shamrocks Customs. He’s building a very cool blacked out chopper. “But it’s a variety of black textures,” Rich barked at me. The frame is gloss black powder, whereas some elements are textured black powder and some are heated wrinkle-black.

I fixed Vickie’s clutch hub, with the broken bolt in the hub. Rich and I will grab Mike’s R.I.P. last year Shovelhead and re-install the primary, drive and clutch. We will the return the running Shovel to Vickie.

I’m behind Rich with my Knucklehead project, the VL, XA, FL until it’s aligned and final welding takes place. I made a coil mount bolted to the Paughco Knuck top motormount. It took some digging. I didn’t want it too high to block the frame or too low to block access to the carb and intake manifold.

I brazed the pieces together, because of the variety of thicknesses and less heat required.

A clean and sober brother smokes herb for pain. He said this is the shit. Ya got me.

Frankie, is working hard on opening his Venice shop. This is all gold and silver leaf. Nice.

I bought a trailer for Bonneville. I’m having E-tracks installed, and I need to have 5-Ball stickers made at Quick Signs. I will to start on the next World Report for Cycle Source Magazine tomorrow morning. Outlaw Justice is out for final corrections. I have two book projects floating around, and I’m waiting for action on my screenplay, Splintered Road about board-track racing.

Hang on for more reports next week. Wait, I bought a 1913 twin H-D engine from Billy Lane. It might arrive next week.

Don’t forget. Ride Free, Forever!

Presenting the new Harley-Davidson CVO motorcycles

NEW HARLEY-DAVIDSON CVO MOTORCYCLES DELIVER EXTRAORDINARY DESIGN, PERFORMANCE AND TECHNOLOGY

CVO Street Glide and CVO Road Glide Powered by Milwaukee-Eight VVT 121 Engine

MILWAUKEE (June 7, 2023) – Harley-Davidson elevates the motorcycle riding experience with the mid-year introduction of two premium 2023 models from Custom Vehicle Operations™ (CVO™). The new CVO™ Street Glide® and CVO™ Road Glide® models showcase advanced technology, enhanced rider comfort and dynamic performance propelled by the powerful new Milwaukee-Eight® VVT 121 engine. Exclusive and dramatic new visual designs present a transformative revision of the Harley-Davidson® Grand American Touring platform.

“With the all-new CVO™ Street Glide® and CVO™ Road Glide® models, our mission is to advance every aspect of the Grand American Touring motorcycling experience,” said Jochen Zeitz, Chairman, President and CEO of Harley-Davidson. “These models set a new standard for Harley-Davidson performance, technology and style, accelerating the evolution of the world’s most desirable motorcycle brand.”

Iconic Design, Redefined

The new CVO™ Street Glide® and CVO™ Road Glide® models feature stunning new design clearly evolved from the familiar shapes of previous Harley-Davidson® Grand American Touring motorcycles.

The new 121-cubic inch V-Twin Milwaukee-Eight® VVT 121 engine establishes a new benchmark for factory-installed torque and displacement available in a Harley-Davidson® Touring motorcycle and features optimized liquid-cooled cylinder heads with a new cooling system, variable valve timing (VVT), a new intake tract and performance exhaust system.

Every aspect of design that could impact overall performance and the comfort was carefully considered during the development of the CVO™ Street Glide® and CVO™ Road Glide® models. Dry weight has been reduced significantly – by 31 pounds for the CVO™ Street Glide® model and by 35 pounds for the CVO™ Road Glide® model – compared to the models they replace. High-performance front and rear SHOWA suspension components promote confident handling and provide a dramatic improvement in rider comfort compared to previous CVO™ models, with rear suspension travel increased by 50 percent. Premium Brembo™ braking components offer outstanding braking feel and performance for added rider confidence.

For the first time the CVO™ Street Glide® and CVO™ Road Glide® models offer selectable Ride Modes – Road, Sport and Rain – that electronically control a specific combination of power delivery, engine braking, Cornering-Antilock Braking System (C-ABS) and Cornering-Traction Control System (C-TCS) settings.

Aero and thermal comfort are informed by all-new fairings with a “floating” windshield design, and by adjustable air-control vanes. In wind tunnel testing, subjective helmet buffeting is reduced by an average of 60 percent compared to equivalent 2022 models. The new engine cooling system will further improve thermal comfort for the rider compared to previous CVO models.

All-New Infotainment Powered by Skyline™ OS

The CVO™ Street Glide® and CVO™ Road Glide® models introduce an all-new suite of infotainment technology powered by the new Skyline™ OS. A 12.3-inch TFT color touch screen replaces all analog instrumentation and most switches. This premium display is customizable within three distinct view options and is compatible with Apple and Android devices. Wi-Fi connectivity enables wireless connection to a rider’s device, and a Bluetooth® receiver for wireless headsets is built into the system. Both models feature expanded media storage compartments with a USB-C connection point. A premium, high-performance Harley-Davidson® Audio powered by Rockford Fosgate® Stage II four-speaker audio system is powered by a new 500-watt RMS amplifier.

The CVO™ Street Glide® and CVO™ Road Glide® models will make a U.S. public debut in Milwaukee during the Harley-Davidson Homecoming™ Festival, July 13-16, 2023. Both models will reach authorized Harley-Davidson® dealer showrooms globally in mid-July.

Harley-Davidson stands for the timeless pursuit of adventure and freedom for the soul. Go to H-D.com to learn more about the complete line of 2023 Harley-Davidson® Grand American Touring, Sport, Adventure Touring, Cruiser and Trike motorcycles, Harley-Davidson Certified™ pre-owned motorcycles, Harley-Davidson® Genuine Motor Parts & Accessories, Harley-Davidson® MotorClothes® apparel and accessories, and Harley-Davidson Financial Services.

5-Ball Attack On The Texas Hills Cycle Show

by Frank Ball with photos by Meredith Devine

The Gang Setup the 5-Ball Headquarters on the Ruddy Surface of the Round-Up

Dustin Hill, my tattooed Biker brother from the gym rides a sic-ass Dyna with all the upgrades. He invited me and 5-Ball Racing Leathers to be a part of his motorcycle event deep in the heart of the Texas hill country, about an hour and half outside of Austin, Texas.

Deemed The Texas Hills Cycle Show at the round up in Blanco, Texas. I rode my FXR chopper, Bandit “Pops” built, out there alone Friday night. I peeled through the back roads and hills. Man, this place was so cool, perfectly tucked away in thick green endless rolling hills and two-lane back roads of the Texas hill country.

100 WFC: A Hundred

100 word fiction contest continues…. #100WFC

A Hundred
by Chris Dutcher

He hadn’t felt this good in a long time. Five year sentence he’d done forty-three months, seventeen days, five hours and fifty-eight minutes. But who’s counting…

The bike wanted to go a hundred, and he’d let it. The speedo had hovered right around the one-double zero for well over an hour, he must be on fumes.

Backing off the throttle was almost like after-sex. The engine rapped down like the engine brake on a semi, counting through the gears.

Everyone looked away when he pulled up to the pumps, which was fine with him. His face tingled. He laughed.

5-BALL ATTACK ON THE TEXAS HILLS CYCLE SHOW

As I rode the chopper I was swept away into an old western spirit, twisting and turning through thick gorgeous nature that surrounded me at sunset. I was amazed how the FXR, stretched chopper with the girder front end handled so well. It still fed me an element of danger as the Evo engine and thunder header roared smoothly in the warm Texas heat, a perfect evening for riding.

As I pulled up to the round-up after a strong hour and half ride seemingly out in the middle of deserted Texas country, I felt the feeling of welcome. Rumbling inside the old wooden gates, I was greeted by my tattoo buddies Alex and James and my newest biker bro Johnny Mud.

Frankie Jr. could not make the event, so his sister Maxine bravely agreed to haul the 5-Ball Racing Leathers booth to the event.

Plastered across the back of the booth a mega size poster of Bandit himself made a legendary presence at the event!

With my daughter Maxine, Daren from Hawaii and many more friends, we roamed the isles of beautiful custom built motorcycles lining the top deck of the music venue. A magical Texas evening opened in the vast night sky, after we finished doing some 5-Ball business.

Later, we headed off to some joint in Blanco, a bar found again seemingly in the middle of nowhere, a decorated mid-century retro house, right out of a Marty Robin’s western ballad. We partied a bit with the 5-Ball ladies and left the five ball business in the hands of Maxine Ball.

We returned after a night of love under the Texas stars. Saturday we glowed and roamed the tumble-weed strewn grounds to check the vendors and hang with friends. I want to share a big shout out to those who attended. It was a good time and a perfect Texas biker adventure.

Here’s a few people Dustin would like to thank for sponsoring the Texas Hills Cycle Show and attending vendors:

Kara & Mario the owners of The Roundup. Cowboy Harley-Davidson, Campo Bravo Tequila & Waterloo Sparkling Water for being sponsors.

California Unification Rally Draws 3,000 to State Capitol

On May 21,2023, over 3,000 motorcyclists gathered at the California State Capitol in Sacramento to talk biker’s rights, and to send a message to the state legislature that a change in how California deals with issues important to riders is needed. Speakers from the Modified Motorcycle Association (MMA) of California, ABATE of California, the Motorcycle Riders Foundation (MRF), the National Council of Clubs (NCOC) and other groups took to the podium to stress the importance of all riders – as well as other consumer advocates including those in the automotive industry – coming together to present a unified front. Rally organizer and MRF State Representative ‘Chappy’ Patrick Carver and his team of volunteers did yeoman’s work in organizing the event. Chappy is also the President and lobbyist for the MMA of California and works closely with the MRF on legislative issues being addressed in Congress. Numerous long-time California activists, including ABATE lobbyists Jim Lombardo and Bobby T, ABATE officers David ‘D-Man’ Seiler, Chuck Pedersen, and MMA/ABATE Liaison Dave Battles were on hand as well.

For California riders, a major concern continues to be the issue of being unfairly profiled by law enforcement. Following a concerted, years-long effort by motorcycle clubs from around the country, the NCOC, the MRF, state motorcyclists’ rights organizations and thousands of independent riders, anti-profiling resolutions have now been passed in both the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives with bi-partisan support. On a local level, five states have passed standalone anti-profiling laws. California and other states are working to have similar legislation enacted.

Other topics of discussion at the rally included protecting the rights of consumers to repair their machines, the unrealistic rush to outlaw internal combustion engines in favor of electric vehicles, ongoing issues associated with unregulated self-driving autonomous vehicles, and the appropriate labeling and availability of E10 or lower petroleum fuels.

MRF Executive Director Mark Buckner addressed the rally, emphasizing the importance of the challenges and opportunities facing riders today. Buckner discussed MRF’s recent Bikers Inside the Beltway lobbying campaign in Washington, D.C., highlighting the issues discussed with members of Congress and their staff. Those issues included ongoing efforts to end unfair profiling; H.R. 906, the Repair Act, seeking to stop manufacturers from limiting the ability of consumers and independent shops to repair products; H.R, 1435, the Preserving Choices in Vehicle Purchases Act, seeking to amend the Clean Air Act to prevent a ban on internal combustion engines; ensuring that Congress and executive branch agencies including the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) provide appropriate oversight regarding self-driving vehicles; ensuring that consumers will continue to be able to purchase E10 and lower ethanol fuels at a reasonable price; and building strong, bi-partisan motorcycle caucuses made up of motorcycle-friendly legislators in Washington, D.C.

Overall, the California Unification Rally was a resounding success, with unity and opportunity the messages of the day.

Part 4: Cabana Dan’s Early Projects

1914 H-D Twin Engine Rebuild and the 1912 Single Venture

It’s Memorial Day 2023. There’s a jammin’ bike show happening in Deadwood. Dan’s hands are full with Sturgis Museum projects. I’m trying like hell to understand Outlaw Justice, my second book and proof reading each page for reprinting. I’m also building a Knucklehead chop and searching for a 1913 twin engine.

Part 4: Cabana Dan’s Early Projects

It’s Memorial Day 2023. There’s a jammin’ bike show happening in Deadwood. Dan’s hands are full with Sturgis Museum projects. I’m trying like hell to understand Outlaw Justice, my second book and proof reading each page for reprinting. I’m also building a Knucklehead chop and searching for a 1913 twin engine.

Spring hit the Black Hills like color film smacked photography. Suddenly we’ve gone from 20 degrees to 80 and life is emerald green and brilliant. “I’m not a green guy,” Irish rich said of Charlie’s ’73 Corvette color. I know, that doesn’t make any sense at all…

Cutting to the chase, I’m running behind on this episode because of a myriad of other projects and interruptions. I was able to sneak into the hills over-looking the Buffalo Chip and Dan’s shop recently to grab some shots and kick around the 1914 H-D twin engine rebuild.

It’s amazing how some of these engines survived or weren’t used much. Dan’s waiting on pistons and boring cylinders is critical. How do you bore a cylinder so it’s tighter at the top than the bottom? You got me, but I believe I understand the concept.

Originally, they ran cast-iron Pistons, which don’t swell as much as aluminum pistons, hence the tapered bore. But wait, if you run aluminum pistons, you can bore the cylinders straight and run tighter tolerances. “I don’t have any idea how the factory taper-bored cylinders,” Dan said. He took his cylinders to Lonnie Isam’s shop. Lonnie Sr. has a specific J-model boring table and tooling. Dan honed the freshly bored cylinders and set the piston ring gaps.

Billy Lane told me he’s running Knucklehead pistons in some of his early bikes, but it mean new rods and larger wrist pins. Dan lapped the rods, but the piston pin bushings were fine.

He’s using 741 Indian lower end bearing races and H-D bearings, because the races are readily available from Lonnie or Todd at Jerry Greer’s Indian in Deadwood. Actually 45-flathead military bearings will do the trick and they are available. Dan trued the flywheels and the case bushing on the pinion side was good, amazing and over 108 years old.

The source for many early engine parts is Competition Distributing where his piston pins came from, but there’s an issue. To reproduce parts for early engines is a challenge. How can anyone invest in parts for very low volume engines, say 1000 and 500 are gone. So you stumble into your local casting facility and ask for 100, or even 500 of one part and they laugh you out of the shop…

Dan cleaned the cases. He’s an accomplished cast aluminum welder and can fix almost any case. Then he bead-blasted the cases and Burr bench tumbled them for a new-stock finish. He uses Yama bond sealant for sealed surfaces and plans to ride this beautiful restoration, but not far.

Pocket intake valves are available from Competition Distributing, but you gotta be specific about the models. They were nicknamed pocket valves because you could carry a spare in your oily denims pocket. Something to watch for: Two pocket valve-styles were available: F-models stood for Fast and had different rocker-arm geometry than the A-models, which were the race specific engines. In those days the letter fell at the end of the numbers stamped into the cases. If you found an engine without a model letter, it was the standard, stock engine configuration.

The cams were all the same for ’14 J-engines. The fast or race engines were juiced with different rocker arm geometry and larger intake manifolds. He’s running a rebuilt Bosch manifold. After WWI the Bosch patents fell into different hands. Some Bosch mags have Germany under the name on the brass tag, others have England or even Made in USA.

Some guys are running standard Joe Hunt or Morris Magnetos attached to an adapter plate.

While in the master’s shop and he wasn’t looking, I took shots of his 1912 single project. Amazing, but this bike will be constructed primarily with re-production parts. The frame came from Dewey Early Harley parts and the bars and front end were manufactured recently in Texas.

There were two models in ’12, the 8-XA which has a clutch on the rear wheel. The 8-A had only the belt tensioner to drive it. Up until 1913 the wheels had only 36 spokes. In ’13 they were changed to 40-spoke wheels. Even the wheels will be new on this puppy. Only the engine will be original. Replacement clutches are available from Sweden.

The tanks came from Antique Moto Smith in Texas, the rims also were made in Texas. Dan laced the wheels and machined the spacers. Look at those tiny rockers from Competition Distributing. Keep in mind, that the new stuff is much more precision than original sand-casted and rough machined components. Even tooling today and of course, CNC machines are very precise compared to old lathes ran by hand.

Next, we will bring you the final install of the newly rebuilt ’14 twin, and maybe a start-up video. I learned that my own ’13 twin racer will not have a clutch, because it will be a crank and ride-off the center-stand to the race. Hang on!
