PRESIDENT TRUMP ELECTION NIGHT WATCH PARTY

                WEST PALM BEACH CONVENTION CENTER

TUESDAY,NOVEMBER 5 THRU WEDNESDAY,NOVEMBER, 6,2024

PROMISES MADE, PROMISES KEPT

Photos by Dmac and Scott Souza

The greatest country in the world is getting a well-needed tune up!  There’s no need to describe the last 4 years of Bidenomics as we have all been living  with the circumstances of their bullshit.

November 5-6, 2024 marked a historical event where the Popular Vote and the Electoral Votes both recorded a landslide that will make America great again.   A TRIFECTA occurred that will change the face of American history for years to come.   A Red Wave that will heal America and get her back on track again.  Besides an epic victory for the Presidency,  the Senate and House were both flipped Red.   And the icing on the cake, was Kamala delivering  her concession  speech Wednesday at 4pm EST.  The journey forward won’t be an easy one, as there are many wrongs to be righted.   The journey started at the West Palm Beach Convention Center and marks the beginning of President Trump returning as #47 – demanded by the people and the outcome of the election.

FOX NEWS called the election in favor of  President Trump at 1:46AM EST after swing state (NC, PA, WI, GA,)  results were called.   By 2:30am , front  and center, we were  able to bear  witness to this historic transition of our country currently decaying and despondent,  to ecstatic and hopeful – the result of the greatest political movement of all time – the MAGA movement!  President Trump accepted the nomination to be the 47th President of the United States of America.

TRUMP-Melaina- Barron

His acceptance speech provided thanks and reassurance that many good things lie ahead.  Time is of the essence, but so is patience. The wrongs won’t be righted overnight, but the process will be slow and methodical.  President Trump learned from his previous term as President and goes into this new term with more knowledge and insight.  He’s identified the element that initially appeared trustworthy, but demonstrated otherwise, and now has located his people that will fill his cabinet and are completely trustworthy.

Trump Wins

#45 is coming back stronger than ever and accepted the honor of the Presidency in front of thousands of invited guests, and the lamestream media.  With his wife, Melania, children, grandchildren, father-in-law, and dear trusted friends close by, he presented the following speech from the heart:

I

“I want to thank the American people for the extraordinary honor of being elected your 47th president, and your 45th president, and every citizen. And I will fight for you, for your family, and your future. Every single day I will be fighting for you, and with every breath in my body. I will not rest until we have delivered the strong, safe, and prosperous America that our children deserve, and that you deserve,” he said. “This will truly be the golden age of America. That’s what we have to have. This is a magnificent victory for the American people that will allow us to make America great again”.

“These are our friends. We have thousands of friends in this incredible movement. This is a movement like nobody’s ever seen before. And frankly, this was, I believe, the greatest political movement of all time. There’s never been anything like this in this country. And maybe. And now it’s going to reach a new level of importance because we’re going to help our country heal, help our country.

Here we have a country that needs help, and it needs help very badly. We’re going to fix our borders. We’re going to fix everything about our country. And we made history for a reason tonight. And the reason is going to be just that.

We overcame obstacles that nobody thought possible. And it is now clear that we’ve achieved the most incredible political – look, what happened is this crazy.

This is a magnificent victory for the American people that will allow us to make America great again. And in addition to having won the battleground states of North Carolina, I love these places, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. We are now winning in Michigan, Arizona, Nevada and Alaska, which would result in us carrying at least 315 electoral votes.

Bikers For Trump

The greatest comeback of all time!

We also have won the popular vote. That was great.

Thank you. Thank you very much.

Winning the popular vote was very nice. I will tell you the great, a great feeling of love. We have a great feeling of love in this very large room with unbelievable people standing by my side. These people have been incredible. They’ve made the journey with me, and we’re going to make you very happy. We’re going to make you very proud of your vote. I hope that you’re going to be looking back someday and say that was one of the truly important moments of my life when I voted for this group of people. Beyond the president, this group of great people.

America has given us an unprecedented and powerful mandate. WR in Montana, Nevada, Texas, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, the great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, were all won by the MAGA movement. They helped so much.

And in those cases, every one of them, we worked with the senators. They were tough races. And I mean, the number of victories in the Senate was absolutely incredible. And we did tele-rallies, we did tele-rallies with each one of them. And sometimes we did two or three. And it was amazing to look at all of those victories. Nobody expected that. Nobody. So, I just wanted to thank you very much for that. And we have you have some great senators and some great new senators. And it also looks like we’ll be keeping control of the House of Representatives.

And I want to thank Mike Johnson. I think he’s doing a terrific job. Terrific job. I want to also thank my beautiful wife, Melania, and first lady, who has the number one bestselling book in the country? Can you believe that? She has done a great job, works very hard. Works very hard to help people. So I just want to thank her.

But I want to thank my whole family, my amazing children. And they are amazing children. Now, we all think our children are amazing, everybody here thinks their children are amazing. But Don, Eric, Ivanka, Tiffany, Barron, Laura, Jarrett, Kimberly, Michael, thank you all. What a help.

My father-in-law, Victor, is tremendous. And we miss very much Melania’s mother, Amalija. We miss Amalija now. She would be very happy right now standing on this stage. She’d be so proud. She was a great woman, that one, beautiful inside and out. She was a great woman.

I want to be the first to congratulate our great, now I can say Vice President-Elect of the United States, JD Vance. And his absolutely remarkable and beautiful wife, Usha Vance. And he is a feisty guy, isn’t he? You know, I said ‘Go into the enemy camp,’ and, you know, the enemy camp is certain networks. He just goes, ‘Okay, which one?’ CNN, MSDNC. He’ll say, All right, thank you very much. He really looked forward to it. And then he just goes and absolutely obliterates them.

Say a couple of words.

JD Vance:

Well, Mr. President, I appreciate you allowing me to join you on this incredible journey. I thank you for the trust you placed in me. And I think that we just witnessed the greatest political comeback in the history of the United States of America. And under President Trump’s leadership, we’re never going to stop fighting for you, for your dreams, for the future of your children. And after the greatest political comeback in American history, we’re going to lead the greatest economic comeback in American history under Donald Trump’s leadership.

PRESIDENT  TRUMP: Thank you very much. He’s turned out to be a good choice. I took a little heat at the beginning, but he was. I knew, I knew the brain was a good one. About as good as it gets. And we love the family. And we’re going to have a great four years and we’re going to turn our country around, make us something very special. We lost that, lost that little, lost that little, that little thing called special. We have to make it, so we’re going to make this so great. It’s going to, it’s the greatest country, and potentially the greatest country in the world by far. And right now, we’re going to just work very hard to get all of that back. We’re going to make it the best it’s ever been. And we can do that. It was going bad fast. We’re going to have to seal up those borders. We want people to come back in. But they have to come in legally. They have to come in legally.

Let me also expressed my tremendous appreciation for Susie and Chris. The job you did. Susie come here Susie, Chris, come here, Chris. Susie likes to stay sort of in the back. Let me tell you, the ice maiden. We call her the ice maiden. Chris, come back. Susie likes to stay in the background. She’s not in the background.

CHRIS LACIVITA: This was unexpected. But I just want to thank, obviously, President Trump for this journey. It was a great one. And he’s a hell of a candidate and he’s going to be a hell of a great 47th president. And this team that we had, the best team and of course, even my boss, Susie Wiles, the best.

PRESIDENT TRUMP: Thank you. And thank you, Susie. Look at her, she’s shy. I’ve never seen her be shy before. They are great. Everybody up here is great. Everybody up here is very special.

Who did you say? Let me tell you, we have a new star. A star is born, Elon (Musk). Now, he’s an amazing guy. We were sitting here tonight. You know, He spent two weeks in Philadelphia and different parts of Pennsylvania campaigning. You know, He sent the rocket up two weeks ago and I saw that rocket. And I saw it coming down. I saw, when it left it was beautiful, shiny white, when it came down it didn’t look so pretty, it was going 10,000 mph and it was burning like hell. I said, what happened to your paint job? He said, we’ve have never made a paint that can withstand that kind of heat.

But I saw it come down and turn around and it was, you know, it’s like 22 stories tall by the way, it looks a little smaller than that, but it’s big. And it came down and down and you saw that fire burning and. And I’m saying only Elon can do this. It must be an Elon. And I tell the story. I told it last night.

I had the screen muted, no sound. I was talking to a very important man. Happens to be here and  a very important guy, one of the most important people in I would say the country, actually. But, you know, I was president and now it looks like I was going to be maybe President again, so I figured I could ask him to hold. So I asked him to hold. And because especially because you’re going to be President again, they hold. So I took the phone down and I’m looking at the screen. I’m seeing this crazy thing that’s going around and coming down and it looks like it’s going to crash into the gantry. And I said, oh no  and I said Do me a favor. You mind holding for a couple minutes?. I want to see this. I thought it was a Space Age movie or something. I put the phone down , but I didn’t pick it up for 45 minutes and he was holding. But this spaceship came down and I saw those engines firing and it looked like it was over. It was going to smash.

And then I saw the fire pour out from the left side and I put it straight and it came down so gently. And then it wrapped those arms around it and it held it. And just like you hold your baby at night, your little baby. And it was a beautiful thing to see. And I called Elon I said, Elon, was that you? He said, Yes, it was. I said, Who else can do that? Can Russia do it? No. Can China do it? No. Can the United States do it other than you? No, nobody can do that. I said, That’s why I love you, Elon. That’s great. And you know, when we had the tragic Hurricane Helene and it hit in particular North Carolina, they were really devastated. The water, this was a big water, as big as we’ve ever seen. What a hurricane. They built lakes out of nothing. Fields became lakes. And and the danger was unbelievable. And the people from North Carolina came to me and they said, would it be possible at all possible for you to speak to Elon Musk? We need Star Link. I said, what’s Star Link? It’s a form of communication. So I called Elon, and I’ll tell you what he had. And it was very dangerous. People would die. They had no communication. All the wires were down. I called Elon Musk. I said, Elon, you have something called Star Link. Is that right? Yes, I do. What the hell is it? He said, It’s a communication system that’s very good. I said, Elon, they need it really, really badly in North Carolina. Can you get it here? He had it there so fast it was incredible. So and it was great. It saved a lot of lives. He saved a lot of lives. But he’s a character, he’s a special guy. He’s a super genius. We have to protect our geniuses. We don’t have that many of them. We have to protect our super geniuses.

I want to thank I think, you know, we have The US Open champion he’s fantastic. Every slightly longer than me hits the ball a little bit longer than me. Just a little bit. Bryson DeChambeau is up here, so I’m glad. What happened to Bryson? Where is he? Bryson. He was sure. He said he was on the way. He’s on the way. He’s hitting balls. Bryson. Look at him. He had a great he’s got a great career going. Great U.S. Open, Bryson. It’s a fantastic job. And we also have a man, Dana White, who has done some job. He’s that tough guy? And so Dana started UFC and came to me. Do you mind if I use your. Nobody wanted to give him a because they said it’s a rough sport, a little rough. And I helped him out a little bit. And I went and I said, This is the roughest sport I’ve ever seen. But I began to like it and he loved it. And nobody’s done a better job in sports. And, you know, he’s a very motivational kind of a guy. What he does, he gets these fighters and they really go at it is become one of the most successful sports enterprises anywhere at any time doing so. Well, I’d like to ask Dana just to say a couple of words, because people love to hear from him.

DANA WHITE: Nobody deserves this more than him, and nobody deserves this more than his family does. This is what happens when the machine comes after you. What you’ve seen over the last several years. This is what it looks like. Couldn’t stop him. He keeps going forward. He doesn’t quit. He’s the most resilient, hardworking man I’ve ever met in my life. His family are incredible people. This is karma, ladies and gentlemen. He deserves this. They deserve it as a family. I want to thank some people. Real quick, I want to thank the note boys, Aiden Ross, Theo Vaughn, also with the boys. And last but not least, the mighty and powerful Joe Rogan. And thank you, America. Thank you. Have a good night.

PRESIDENT TRUMP: That is a piece of work. Now is that amazing? He’s really an amazing guy. But most of all, I want to thank the millions of hardworking Americans across the nation who have always been the heart and soul of this really great movement. We’ve been through so much together. And today you showed up in record numbers to deliver a victory. Like, really, I probably like no other. This was something this was something special. And we’re going to we’re going to pay you back. We are going to do the best job. We’re going to to turn it around. It’s got to be turned around. It’s got to be turned around fast. And we’re going to turn it around. We’re going to do it in every way with so many ways, but we’re going to do it in every way. This will forever be remembered as the day the American people regained control of their country. So I just want to say that on behalf of this great group of people, these are hardworking people. These are fantastic people. And we can add a few names like Robert F Kennedy Junior who can. But he’s going to help make America healthy again. And now he’s a great guy and he really means it he wants to do some things and we’re going to let him go to it. I just said, But Bobby, leave the oil to me. We have more liquid gold, oil and gas. We have more liquid gold than any country in the world, more than Saudi Arabia. We have more than Russia. Bobby, stay away from the liquid gold. Other than that.

Go have a good time, Bobby. We’re going to be paying down debt. We’re going to be reducing taxes. We have. We can do things that nobody else can do. Nobody else is going to be able to do it. China doesn’t have what we have. Nobody has what we have, but we have the greatest people also. Maybe that’s the most important thing. This campaign, this campaign has been so historic in so many ways. We’ve built the biggest, the broadest, the most unified coalition. They’ve never seen anything like it in all of American history. They’ve never seen it. A young and old, men and women, rural and urban. And we had them all helping us tonight. When you think I mean, I was looking at it, I was watching it. They had some great analysis of the people that voted for us. Nobody’s ever seen anything like that. It came from they came from all corners. Union, nonunion, African American, Hispanic American, Asian American, Arab American, Muslim American.

We had everybody. And it was beautiful. It was a historic realignment, uniting citizens of all backgrounds around a common core of common sense. You know, we’re the party of common sense. We want to have borders. We want to have security. We want to have things be good, safe. We want great education. We want a strong and powerful military. And ideally, we don’t have to use it. You know, we had no wars for years. We had no wars except we defeated ISIS. We defeated ISIS in record time. And but we had no wars. They said he will start a war. I’m not going to start a war. I’m going to stop wars. But this is also a massive victory for democracy and for freedom. Together, we’re going to unlock America’s glorious destiny, and we’re going to achieve the most incredible future for our people. Yesterday, as I stood at my last stop on the campaign trail, I’ll never be doing a rally again. Can you believe it? I think we’ve done 900 rallies approximately from the. Can you imagine? 900 901 something, a lot of rallies. And it was sad. Everybody was sad. Many people have said this is our last rally, but now we’re going on to something that’s far more important because the rallies were used for us to put people in this position where we can really help our country. That’s what we’re going to do.

Dee and Scott

We’re going to make our country better than it ever has been. And I said that many people have told me that God spared my life for a reason. And that reason was to save our country and to restore America to greatness. And now we are going to fulfill that mission together. We’re going to fulfill that mission. The task before us will not be easy, but I will bring every ounce of energy, spirit and fight that I have in my soul to the job that you have entrusted to me. This is a great job. There is no job like this. This is the most important job in the world. Just as I did in my first term, we had a great first term. A great, great first term. I will govern by a simple motto. Promises made, promises kept. We’re going to keep our promise. Nothing will stop me from keeping my word to you, the people. We will make America safe, strong, prosperous, powerful and free again. And I’m asking every citizen all across our land to join me in this noble and righteous endeavor. That’s what it is. It’s time to put the divisions of the past four years behind us. It’s time to unite. And we’re going to try. We’re going to try. We have to try. And it’s going to happen. Success will bring us together. I’ve seen that. I’ve seen that. I saw that in the first term when we became more and more successful, people started coming together. Success is going to bring us together and we are going to start by all putting America first. We have to put our country first for at least a period of time. We have to fix it because together we can truly make America great again for all Americans. So I want to just tell you what a great honor this is. I want to thank you. I will not let you down. America’s future will be bigger, better, bolder, richer, safer and stronger than it has ever been before. God bless you and God bless America. Thank you very much.”

Why California Took So Long To Crack Down On Crime

Years of lawlessness may, finally, come to an end — no thanks to Gavin Newsom and Kamala Harris

By Michael Shellenberger

Public@substack.com

Thank you to Bari Weiss and the Free Press team for commissioning and editing this piece!

And thank you to all of you who subscribed recently and sent kind notes about your reactions to the recent elections. Many of you said you have started to have hard conversations with friends and family, including those who lost their minds over the last few years. I’m so glad to hear it. — MS

Over the last quarter century, progressives argued that we should decriminalize drugs, stop enforcing laws against nonviolent crimes, and radically reduce the number of people in prison. This softer approach to crime, addiction, and homelessness was demonstrably more effective and compassionate than tougher models, they said. Hundreds of articles, books, documentaries, TV segments, and fact sheets all buttressed this worldview.

We all needed more empathy for those committing crimes, more empathy for drug dealers, the activists said, and soon the politicians did, too. In that frenzy of compassion, it wasn’t the criminals who were demonized, but the victims.

Blue states across the country—especially California, Oregon, and Washington—spent the past decade as real-world laboratories of these radical theories. The result has been one of the worst humanitarian disasters in American history. And nowhere was it worse than my state: California, where soft policies were implemented first and most forcefully.

Historians who go looking for the beginning of the story might look at Proposition 47, passed 10 years ago by California’s voters. This law put into practice one of those “compassionate” ideas: it transformed any theft of goods worth less than $950 from a felony into a misdemeanor. It did the same with drug possession.

As a result, prosecutors lost much of the legal authority they needed to prosecute, for example, breaking and entering, resulting in brazen smash and grabs orchestrated by criminal gangs, and leaving store employees and customers helpless as they watched criminals loot everything from luxury items to toiletries. It also became much more difficult to prosecute drug dealers, who could simply say that their drugs were for their own use. Drug dealers also took advantage of Prop 47 by parceling out their supply to homeless addicts, who would then take the fall if they were caught.

The number of homeless people in California—destitute primarily as a result of addiction and mental illness—rose by over 50 percent over the last 10 years, from 113,952 in 2014 to 181,399 in 2023.

Violent crime rose, too. As of 2022, it was 31 percent higher in California than the national rate. “This divergence is driven largely by aggravated assaults, which have been declining nationwide while rising in California,” noted the Public Policy Institute of California last November. One out of four San Francisco residents polled say they were a victim of crime in the last year; 42 percent say they were a victim more than once.

Meanwhile, the downtown areas of cities like Los Angeles and San Francisco became uninhabitable thanks to the rise of open drug use and petty crime.  (If you wonder why toothpaste and deodorant are under lock and key in drug stores, this is why.) So many businesses fled San Francisco’s city limits that the vacancy rate for commercial real estate hit an astonishing 36 percent by the end of 2023.

Such lawlessness has unfortunately hardened the hearts of many, which only compounds the tragedy. I have spent the past five years bearing witness to the lives—and the deaths—of the people suffering under these policies. A few scenes will suffice to capture their destitution and misery.

This August, on Skid Row, a few blocks from downtown L.A., I discovered a Venezuelan mother who lived in a tent on the street, holding a 2-year-old with a large scar visible on his chest. The mother told me, in Spanish, that he is autistic. A boy of about 8 was also living in their tent. He lurked behind them, appearing frightened while a tough-looking friend or relative stared at us menacingly.

This was only one tent among thousands—people living in a major American city in conditions more violent, squalid, and inhumane than I have seen in the slums of New Delhi or Rio de Janeiro. People overdose on fentanyl and then are revived 10 or 20 times with Narcan before they die. Women, often psychotic and with open wounds, are raped in tents. People lie, literally, in the gutters, as the more fortunate walk by.

Oakland, California, meantime, brought chaos and crime directly into the neighborhoods of even wealthy residents. Long a hothouse of radicalism, no other city has more aggressively defunded and demoralized the police than Oakland. The upshot is a city that is something closer to lawless than law-abiding. The wait time by Oakland residents for a response to their urgent (“priority 1”) 911 calls rose from 23 minutes to roughly 50 minutes, on average, between 2022 and 2023. This was by design. The idea has been that we can slowly transition away from needing police at all.

Last year in San Francisco, drug dealers sold drugs that killed 810 people. The dealers, most of whom are from Honduras, are in the U.S. illegally but are protected by the city’s “sanctuary law,” which was created in 1989 to protect refugees fleeing war and violence and today is mostly used to protect the dealers and the multibillion-dollar transnational mafias for which they work.

The city’s former district attorney—he was recalled in 2022 at the start of the wave we saw crashing this week—said that the drug dealers are victims too. “A significant percentage of people selling drugs in San Francisco—perhaps as many as half—are here from Honduras,” Chesa Boudin said. “We need to be mindful about the impact our interventions have,” he said. “Some of these young men have been trafficked here under pain of death.” But no one ever seemed to spare a thought for the people dying of those drugs, or the kids who had to see people dying in the streets on their way to school.

Businesses cannot function in this kind of environment. Nordstrom, Whole Foods, Target, Denny’s, and Starbucks all closed stores over the last two years in San Francisco and Oakland, citing crime, the destruction of downtowns, and the need to protect “team members and guest safety.”

Just between 2020 and 2022, a quarter of a million people fled the Bay Area, having come to the conclusion that things might not ever get better.

But finally, on Tuesday, California voters decided to trust their own eyes. They rejected the experts and the media who told them this was what compassion looked like—and voted for a return to normalcy and safety.

Just look at the results:

Proposition 36, a statewide measure to undo Prop 47, passed by 70 percent. The new law turns some misdemeanors into felonies (for example, shoplifting if it is a third offense), lengthens some felony sentences (i.e. smash-and-grab thefts involving three or more people), and requires some felonies to be served in prison (like fentanyl dealing). Notably, Governor Gavin Newsom opposed Prop 36. And Kamala Harris—who, recall, was California’s attorney general before becoming vice president—simply refused to comment on a bill that every single county in the state passed. (Even the former Sacramento district attorney who led the campaign to crack down on drugs and theft was shocked by the margin of victory. “I was expecting great numbers,” said Anne Marie Schubert, “but the 70 percent was amazing! It sends a powerful message to the rest of the country.”)

In Los Angeles, voters took the unheard-of step of electing an actual Republican as district attorney, ousting from office a George Soros-funded DA, George Gascón.

In Oakland, voters not only recalled the DA for all of Alameda County, they also recalled the mayor, Sheng Thao, who similarly hailed from the radical left and is being investigated by the FBI for possible corruption relating to city garbage contracts.

In San Francisco, Mayor London Breed was defeated by Dan Lurie, who ran, in part, on a platform to increase police presence, increase shelter beds, and fight corruption.

These are all very positive signs. But the question is not why voters revolted against policies that made their lives and the lives of their less-fortunate neighbors so much worse—but rather why it took them so long.

After all, California used to be known as a state that was tough on crime. Its 1994, the “Three Strikes” law famously required judges to send criminals to jail for 25 years for their third felony offense. So why, over the past decade, did voters keep reducing criminal penalties and electing leaders who were openly and proudly soft-on-crime?

Part of the problem is that many voters don’t really understand that they voted for the policies responsible for the increase in crime and homelessness. When the police tell people who report everything from open-air drug dealing to car break-ins to home invasions that there’s nothing they can do, residents act with surprise and outrage. Why aren’t the police doing anything? The answer is simple: because there truly is nothing they can do.

The primary reason is because California’s progressive DAs simply stopped prosecuting many laws, while the state legislature weakened the ability of the police to fight crime.

At the most superficial level, Soros-funded politicians, journalists, and think tanks spread disinformation. They told voters that criminals and addicts would be mandated drug rehab as an alternative to prison when the framers of the laws knew perfectly well they were making both of them optional.

Consider Proposition 57, passed by California voters in 2016, which shortened the time it took for some nonviolent offenders to be eligible for parole and released them into drug treatment and rehabilitation. Ultimately, that law and others reduced California’s prison population from its peak of 163,000 in 2006 to 92,000 in 2024. It also granted early parole to more prisoners, which contributed to the spike in homelessness.

It’s not that Californians are stupid. It’s that they didn’t fully grasp what they were voting for. While Harris was serving as attorney general, her office wrote the Title and Summary of Proposition 57, which incorrectly labeled serious violent crimes as “nonviolent.”

“Proposition 57 is the misleading and dangerous ballot initiative that would allow serious, violent criminals out on early release without completing their sentences,” noted Harris’s opponent, Loretta Sanchez, also a Democrat, in 2016, as they competed for the Senate seat.

But voters ignored Sanchez’s prescient warning and elected Harris with 62 percent of the vote, a testament to the voters’ commitment, at the time, to progressive criminal justice reform, as well as to the power of the Nancy Pelosi-Gavin Newsom machine.

So part of the problem was genuine ignorance on the part of voters who had been misled. The deeper problem was a misguided worldview that labeled people addicted to hard drugs or suffering from mental illness as “victims,” to whom everything should be given, including the right to camp and use hard drugs in tents on sidewalks, with nothing required of them—not even obeying the law.

The revolt against progressive criminal justice policies has finally arrived—and with it, the promise that one of the worst humanitarian disasters in American history will eventually come to an end. The question now is, how quickly? Will the number of overdose deaths per year remain 100,000 for another decade? Or can we bring it down rapidly? Portugal and the Netherlands show how: by re-criminalizing hard drugs, prosecuting laws against nonviolent crimes, and mandating rehab as an alternative to prison.

If California does those things, the number of drug deaths could be slashed by half in a year, and brought down by 90 percent within three years. The alternative will be not two but three times or more deaths of Americans than all who have died in all foreign wars since 1900.

Dutch coalition party calls for stop on wind turbines— on land after devastating Clintel report

The drawbacks of the massive deployment of wind turbines on land, especially regarding public health, are very serious but don’t receive enough attention. That is the conclusion of the new Clintel report Het Windmolendrama (The Windmill Tragedy). Following the report, the Dutch coalition party BBB calls for an immediate stop on new wind turbines on land.

The Clintel report makes a critical inventory of the political, scientific, economic and legal issues surrounding wind turbines on land in The Netherlands. The major issue in the report are the possible health effects of wind turbine noise, which so far have been largely ignored by the Dutch government (institutions), especially the health impact of infrasonic vibrations, which include chronic sleep deprivation and heart disease. Partly because of these neglected health issues, the report states that there is insufficient  legal basis for the deployment of (new) wind turbines on land.

Clintel director Marcel Crok presented the report to Henk Vermeer, co-founder and MP for the political party BBB (Farmer-Citizen Movement), on October 31st. In his reaction to the scathing findings, Vermeer announced he would submit a list of questions to the responsible minister for Climate and Green Growth (Hermans, People’s Party for Freedom and Democracy) and call for an immediate stop on new wind turbines on land.

Not climate change but climate policy is the main threat for the prosperity of western societies at this moment. The Clintel Foundation has stated, with a global network of 2000 scientists and experts, that there is no climate emergency. Western leaders, however, have all voted in favour of Net Zero targets for 2050, which will have a disastrous effect on our economy and therefore our prosperity.

These climate policies are a threat for entrepreneurs and it enters deeper and deeper into the private life of citizens. Wind turbines of close to 300 meters in height industrialise our countrysides, harming the environment,, biodiversity and public health. House owners are forced to replace their gas heaters by costly heat pumps, leading to rising energy bills. More and more cities reduce speed limits to 30 kms per hour.

There is no support base among the population for all these costly measures but our political leaders so far ignore these objections. Sooner or later the tide will turn, because these policies are unfeasible and unaffordable. Clintel wants to speed up this process by making both citizens and political leaders aware of all the pitfalls. Clintel receives no funding from the government nor from the Postcode Lottery or the industry. We therefore ask citizens and small businesses to support us in our mission.

Your support will be used to:

* Explain in all details there is no climate emergency. No one should be afraid of climate change. We use our websites and social media channels to spread this information and also give interviews in the media.

* Analyse and criticize IPCC reports. We check them for alarmism and one-sidedness. In 2023 we published the book The Frozen Climate Views of the IPCC.  We confront the IPCC with our results and will force them to respond to our criticism.

* Raise awareness for the negative side-effects of the current climate policies, both in terms of cost and impact on humans and the environment.

* Intervene in high profile climate court cases such as the one between Friends of the Earth and Shell in The Netherlands. Climate policy should be discussed in Parliaments, not in the courts.

If you share our views, please consider to support us through a (monthly) donation or by becoming Friend of Clintel. Clintel is also a 501(c)3 in the United States.

Thank you!

Guus Berkhout, president of Clintel

Marcel Crok, director of Clintel

Clintel is an Amsterdam (The Netherlands) based thinktank founded in 2019 by Dutch emeritus professor Guus Berkhout and science writer Marcel Crok.

ELECTION BIKERNET WEEKLY NEWS for November 7th, 2024

Hey,

Has this been an amazing week or what. They hated us, bullied us, scorned us, tried to ban us, but the American people stood up, stepped up and did their civic duty to vote for Freedom, Liberty, Truth and Integrity. It was an amazing day in American History. Well done. I’m proud.

The battle isn’t over as you will see in the news, but we’re making major progress… Let’s hit the news.

As Sputnik said, do we look in the mirror every morning and ask ourselves will I do everything I can for this movement today, and then look in the mirror at night and ask ourselves did I do everything I could have for this movement today.

No days off, it’s too important.

New-Model Sales Dip Through Third Quarter as Some Segments Show Strength

The MIC is reporting that among leading brands, sales of new motorcycles and scooters decreased 6.2 percent through the third quarter of 2024, compared with the same period the previous year.

“Although all general categories – on-highway, off-highway, dual, and scooter – are down year-to-date compared with 2023, there is good news within specific segments,” said Buckner Nesheim, MIC Director, Research and Statistics. “Sport bike sales have spiked through Q3 and are currently at their highest levels since 2009. And touring bikes have shown some resilience with a small increase so far this year. On-highway vehicles have experienced the smallest decline, essentially flat through September. Off-highway and scooters have seen the largest declines. The motorcycle market has evolved since pandemic times and we are seeing dynamic shifts across the segments.”

“New-bike sales volumes are still well ahead of where the industry was before the pandemic – which was a boon to the industry as consumers flocked to dealerships to buy powersports products for outdoor and family recreation,” Nesheim said. “Combining last year’s sales and an estimate of 2024 sales, we’ll likely still be well above the few years just before COVID.”

The MIC Research and Statistics Department revealed other midyear news. Through the third quarter of 2024, the latest MIC Tire Sales Report shows a healthy sales increase for motorcycle tires among leading brands, compared with the same period last year.

BANDIT’S ELECTION REQUEST–

Dear Sir,
I would like all the anti-American, anti-freedom policies to go away. I would like Climate Truth to be rewarded, and doomsday gone. I would like flying in an airplane to be fun again (we have the technology). I would like the TSA folks to get new jobs learning landscaping and making all our roads clean and beautiful. I would like Americans to be strong financially and capable of having one adult home with the kids always. I would like kids to know we live in the best of times, not the worst. I would like honesty and integrity to be at the forefront of everything our government does and finally, I would like the infrastructure bill to pay for improved infrastructure all over the country and not bullshit policies and programs designed to destroy our country. And of course, Peace all over the world. Let’s rock!

HARLEY-DAVIDSON MUSEUM ACTION–

Join the Harley-Davidson Museum as we salute those who serve and have served on the front lines of freedom with free admission for Veterans Day weekend

Plus, check out the new H-D Museum photography exhibit, “Ezy Ryders,” opening Nov. 23.

Harley-Davidson’s storied and legendary commitment to service men and women dates back more than a century when General “Black Jack” Pershing enlisted Harley-Davidson motorcycles in a series of skirmishes along the U.S. and Mexican border. During World War II, H-D built more than 70,000 military vehicles for the US military and its allies, including the UK, Canada and Russia. That famed WLA – which is featured in the H-D Museum’s military gallery – is often referred to as “the bike that won the war.”

And that unwavering commitment continues to this day. For Veterans Day weekend, the H-D Museum offers all active-duty military and veterans and their families free admission (Nov. 9 – 11)*. And on Veterans Day (Nov. 11), MOTOR Bar & Restaurant ups the appreciation for our armed forces when veterans and active military personnel can enjoy one complimentary meal (up to $14.95) with the purchase of a beverage. Additionally, the Harley-Davidson Shop will also offer a 10% discount for purchases made by active military personnel and veterans throughout the day.

This weekend also marks the last chance to check out the H-D Museum’s first bilingual exhibit, “My Papi Has a Motorcycle” / “Mi Papi Tiene una Moto,” before it closes on Nov. 3. Take one last trip with author Isabel Quintero and illustrator Zeke Peña and share in the freedom and fun parents and their kids find when they take to two wheels.

The Bridge Gallery will then be prepped for a new photography exhibit, “Ezy Ryders: History & Tradition, Heart & Soul,” which is being produced with the assistance of documentarian Cate Dingley, author of the book Ezy Ryders. Opening Nov. 23, this series of photos is a celebration of life on two wheels. Dingley interviewed and photographed Black riders in New York City over a five-year period, learning about their back stories and why they ride today. The stunning photos portray a community of riders, made up of people from all walks of life who come together over a common bond. Make tracks to view this new exhibition beginning Saturday, Nov. 23.

Don’t forget that the H-D Museum is a great experience over the long holiday weekends. Bring friends and family visiting Milwaukee to the crossroads of 6th & Canal to learn more about this legendary global brand that began in a backyard shed in Brew City. Spend the whole day on campus checking out the unrivaled collection in the H-D Museum, grab a bite or a beverage at MOTOR Bar & Restaurant and take home more than memories at the H-D Shop or the Harley-Davidson  Factory Outlet. There’s something for every member of the family found on campus.

MUST-SEE EXHIBITS AND INSTALLATIONS

“My Papi Has a Motorcycle” / “Mi Papi Tiene una Moto” (closing Nov. 3)

From award-winning children and YA author Isabel Quintero and illustrator Zeke Peña comes the Harley-Davidson Museum’s first-ever bilingual exhibit, “My Papi has a Motorcycle” / “Mi papi tiene una moto.” Based on the beloved children’s book of the same name, “My Papi has a Motorcycle” shares a story of family bonds strengthened by the simple act of taking a joy ride on a two-wheeled machine.

With brilliant, colorful art from Peña paired with heart-warming stories from Southern Californian riding families, “My Papi has a Motorcycle” will draw smiles from kids of all ages. It’s an exhibit that focuses not only on where you can take a motorcycle, but where a two-up motorcycle ride with a loved one can take you.

“Ezy Ryders: History & Tradition, Heart & Soul” (opening Nov. 23)

Come along for a ride with photographer Cate Dingley as she gets to know the community of Black riders found throughout New York City in the early 21st Century. Dingley spent five years embedded with motorcyclists from all walks of life in NYC to uncover the common bond they shared over a life on two wheels.

Her hard work would live on as a book, titled after the Jimi Hendrix tune, “Ezy Ryder.” Some folks come from longstanding motorcycling families, others only recently discovered how riding can change a life or a club. Dingley’s photographs are paired with commentary in the riders’ own voices about what riding means to them and provide an intimate look at the passion found in the saddle of a motorcycle.

“Creating a Legend: Art & Engineering at Harley-Davidson” (now open)

At Harley-Davidson, design and engineering work together to create machines with big emotional impact. Functional improvements fuel changes in look and feel, yet visual or market desires also shape operating innovations.

The process of how ideas move from concept to prototype, and production involves a lot of people and many kinds of materials. From pencil and paper to CAD, clay, and 3-D printing, see how Harley-Davidson design and engineering teams have envisioned iconic products for over 120 years. You can also take the opportunity to create your own masterpiece with sketch paper and hang your artwork in the H-D Museum.

HANG ON FOR THE CO2 COALITION UPDATE–

In an attempt to achieve economically crippling “Net Zero” emissions for America, the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency has proposed new regulations that would necessarily require all coal-fired power plants to employ technology that would capture 90% of the carbon dioxide (CO2) emitted from the power plant.

Unfortunately, GOP governors in several western coal producing states have embraced this harmful and misguided attempt to solve a non-existent climate crisis.

Wyoming GOP Governor Mark Gordon is the Chair of the Western Governors’ Association and is promoting a plan to “Decarbonize the West” by using carbon capture. Joining him in promoting this scheme are GOP governors from North Dakota and South Dakota, Doug Burgum and Kristi Noem, respectively.

In recent publications, our Science and Research Associate, Dr. Byron Soepyan, provides the facts on the cost, negative consequences and the utter futility of attempting to modify global temperatures using this strategy. Below, we summarize facts that were gleaned from studies by the National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL):

1. Reduction in Power Output – Carbon capture is energy intensive and will reduce the amount of electricity available from the plants by 24%.

2. Cost of Capture – Retrofitting an existing coal plant would cost $988 million. Adapting all 148 existing coal-fired power plants would require an outlay of $146 billion (give or take a few million).

3. Minuscule Warming Averted – Based on the Model for the Assessment of Greenhouse Gas Induced Climate Change, if the United States ceased all CO2 emissions in 2010, the amount of warming averted would be only about 0.07 °F by 2050 and 0.19 °F by 2100.

Finally, besides being expensive and futile, keep in mind that all trees and plants need CO2, along with sunlight, water, and nutrients from the soil to produce oxygen and food, both of which are essential for all living beings.

Given the critical role CO2 plays in driving plant and crop growth, is spending over $100 billion to remove it from the air sensible? We think not. In fact, it is dangerous.

A QUICK NOTE FROM A BOOK I JUST RECEIVED—

Titled “CLEAN ENERGY EXPLOITATION” by Ronald Stein and Todd Royal.

The first paragraph tells the reader what the book will explore:

The United States of America, the largest economy in the history of mankind, representing 4 percent of the world’s population (330 million vs 7.8billion) could literally shut down, and cease to exist, and the opposite of what you have been told and believe will take place. Simply put, in the United States, every person, animal, or anything that causes emissions could vanish off the face of the earth: or even die off, and global emissions will still explode in the coming years and decades ahead around the population and economic growth of China, India, and Africa.

Bada Bing! Don’t Governors read anything or were they bullied or promised millions? Ya got me.

NEWS FROM BANDIT’S 5-BALL EMPORIUM ON MAIN STREET IN STURGIS, SD–

Ray walked into the Emporium yesterday after fighting with the VA for 35 years. He finally made it to 100 percent disabled status. He was over the top. He bought his wife of 40 years a motorcycle scarf and some old Easyriders magazines.

I spoke to Kenny the silversmith about a bracelet and I spoke to my grandson Frankie about some art for an exotic medallion. Both of these guys are masters.

Danial James is heading to the Black Hills from the outskirts of Denver tonight. He’s kicking around notions for art rolling into the 85th in Sturgis. This mock-up above is one of his notions.

We are hoping to create a raffle to support the museum. It would revolve around Danial’s painting, the motorcycle used in the painting and memorabilia.

Check these shots Danial discovered of main street in the ’40s and ’50s. Each one includes the front of Gunners and Bandit’s emporium. I guess it was Bandit’s Shoe Store at the time.

I started to touch up the top block of stone on the front, but someone told me not to fall off the roof, so I missed a couple of spots. I’ll try again.

Here’s a piece of Frankie’s handiwork. I need to nudge him about Bandit’s Medallion…

I took another shot of the bench

Sorry, we couldn’t grab a product photo…

WISCONSIN ABATE ACTION–

Wisconsin election results are in. Voting in elections is one of the most important rights that a citizen has in this country as the majority gets to shape the government for the next 2 years.

Whether your favorite candidate won or not, now we know who the motorcyclists will have to work with in Madison and Washington DC. With the redistricting that happened, things got a little scrambled. There are going to be many new faces in Madison and some of our friends were not successful in retaining their seats.

ABATE of Wisconsin has a long history of presenting responsible legislation to help protect motorcyclists and the means of transportation that we enjoy. We are looking forward to starting conversations with the new members of the legislature and building on existing relationships, we have to move our legislative agenda forward.

The road to success is going to be winding and full of potholes. This may be difficult for some riders, but we have been doing this for 50 years so we will figure out the best way to navigate the road in front of us.

ABATE of Wisconsin would like to congratulate all the candidates who won their individual elections, and we would like to thank everyone that made the decision to run for their selected offices. We appreciate your commitment to stepping up to help shape the state.

Join or donate to ABATE of Wisconsin.

Alberta’s Ruling Party Embraces CO2–

On November 2, Alberta’s ruling United Conservative Party (UCP) approved a resolution stating, in part:

“CO2 is a nutrient foundational for all life on Earth…The earth needs more CO2 to support life and to increase plant yields, both of which contribute to the Health and Prosperity [sic] of all Albertans.”

A UCP member speaking in favor of the resolution stated:

“According to the CO2 Coalition, higher CO2 levels have led to healthier crops and improved food security worldwide.”

The resolution recommended that the Government of Alberta should:

Abandon Net Zero targets

Remove the designation of CO2 as a pollutant

Recognize that CO2 is a foundational nutrient for all life on Earth

As you can imagine, this did not sit well with the climate alarmist community. DeSmog Blog called us “the notorious CO2 Coalition.” Another stated:

“The CO2 Coalition, an organization that promotes the view of carbon dioxide as beneficial, appears to have influenced Resolution 12. During the UCP’s annual general meeting, a member advocating for the resolution cited the CO2 Coalition, stating that ‘higher CO₂ levels have led to healthier crops and improved food security worldwide.’ This reference suggests that the CO2 Coalition’s materials and messaging contributed to shaping the arguments and rationale behind the UCP’s decision to reclassify CO₂ and abandon net-zero emission targets.”

But wait… there’s more:

“The US-based Coalition must be squirming in their dampened seats in excitement at having the home of the oil sands not just be a hot bed of interest in their antediluvian, a-scientific perspective, but actually changing the official policy of the ruling party. I’m sure that gasoline soaked paper bags were being passed around at what passes for the Coalition’s headquarters, huffing cancer-causing hydrocarbons clearly being their drug of choice.”

ELECTION NIGHT

This has been a wild night. I don’t care what anyone thinks about President Trump, he fought for freedom and our country and he won for all of us, including the democrats.

Let’s go beyond just the President, but the Republican party won for all Americans and for all freedom loving folks all over the world.

We’ve faced this socialist take-over for 20 years and it grew to be a worldwide movement. Many of the power brokers are still not revealed. It became about governments seeking power to control their citizens completely.

The job ahead is going to be tough but headed in a direction of Freedom, honesty and integrity for folks all over the world.

FROM THE LAW TIGERS LIBRARY–Will Gas-Powered Motorcycles Be Banned?

The roar of gas-powered motorcycles ignites passion in many riders. But as the world embraces cleaner transportation, questions arise about these beloved machines’ future. Governments worldwide aim to reduce carbon emissions and combat climate change, with many countries planning to phase out gas-powered cars for electric vehicles (EVs). This trend raises concerns among motorcycle enthusiasts about the fate of their gas-powered bikes.

Several factors fuel the discussion around potential gas motorcycle bans. Environmental impact stands at the forefront, as gas motorcycles contribute to air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. Noise pollution in urban areas presents another issue, with the characteristic roar of engines causing disturbances. Technological advancements in electric motorcycles offer increasingly viable alternatives, while policy trends in some regions move towards banning new gas-powered vehicle sales.

Currently, no widespread bans on gas-powered motorcycles exist. However, some regions implement or propose restrictions. Amsterdam plans to ban all gas and diesel vehicles from its city center by 2030, while Paris now prohibits free parking for gas motorcycles on city streets. Singapore will ban new diesel car and taxi registrations from 2025, and California proposes stricter emissions standards for motorcycles.

How Is the Industry Responding to Changing Standards?

The motorcycle industry is responding to these changes by investing heavily in electric technology. Major manufacturers lead the development of high-performance electric bikes, offering advantages like zero emissions, lower operating costs, instant torque, and quieter operation. However, challenges remain for widespread electric motorcycle adoption, including range anxiety, lack of charging infrastructure, higher initial costs, and cultural resistance from traditional riders.

Despite the push for electrification, gas-powered motorcycles will likely remain on roads for years. Any bans or restrictions will probably phase in gradually, giving riders and manufacturers time to adapt. Classic and vintage motorcycles may receive exemptions, preserving part of the motorcycling heritage. Technological improvements in fuel efficiency and emissions control could extend the lifespan of gas motorcycle technology. Additionally, regulations will vary widely between countries and regions, with some areas maintaining more lenient policies.

What Riders Can Do to Get Ready

Motorcycle enthusiasts can take steps to prepare for the future. This starts with staying informed about local and national policies affecting motorcycles. Exploring electric options by test-riding new models can provide valuable insight into their capabilities. Keeping up to date with proper maintenance of current gas bikes can help meet stricter emissions standards. Finally, engaging with policymakers ensures motorcyclists’ interests are considered in transportation planning.

While the future remains uncertain, the passion for two-wheeled freedom will undoubtedly persist. Whether powered by gasoline or electricity, motorcycles will continue to offer riders the thrill of the open road for years to come. Embracing advancements in technology and adapting to evolving regulations will be crucial, but maintaining the essence of motorcycle culture and its exhilarating spirit will ensure its enduring appeal.

Motorcycle Registrations at All-Time High

“One highly positive statistic needs to be remembered by everyone in the motorcycle industry right now, and that’s the record level of registrations across the U.S.,” said Buckner Nesheim, MIC Director, Research and Statistics. “While new-unit sales this year haven’t been as strong as we’d like, the latest government data shows that there are more motorcycles registered now than we’ve ever seen before. Almost twice as high as in 1975 and nearly three and a half million more than in the mid-2000s, a time when we saw six consecutive years of million-plus new-unit sales.”

The 2022 data – the latest available – comes from the Federal Highway Administration, an agency within the U.S. Department of Transportation. It includes first-time registrations and renewals.

“Periods of strong sales in the past and the durability of modern motorcycles have added greatly to the total number of bikes registered and currently in use,” Nesheim said. “And those motorcycles continue to feed the industry by creating demand for powersports parts, tires, fluids, and service. The owners will still be coming into dealerships and shops to keep their bikes running. In many cases, they’ll see new models on showroom floors that they might someday buy, to replace their older machines or add to their collections. And many riders will need to keep their riding gear updated – another opportunity to make sales. Nearly 10 million motorcycles registered across America are fueling our industry.”

CELEBRATE WOMEN RIDERS–International News

After an outstanding week at the 2024 FIM International Six-Days Enduro, which ran Oct. 14-19, the American Motorcyclist Association congratulates the United States Women’s World Trophy Team, which secured its fifth ISDE title during the difficult racing event. In addition to the title-winning performance from the Women’s World Trophy Team, the U.S. added a pair of podium finishes from its World Trophy and Junior World Trophy Teams.

The trio of Brandy Richards, Rachel Gutish and Ava Silvestri — who filled in for the injured Korie Steede just a few weeks prior to the start of this year’s ISDE — outpaced the field to capture its second-consecutive Women’s World Trophy ISDE title. In addition to the team’s victory, Richards also brought home the individual crown during the event.

The World Trophy Team landed on the second rung of the podium, as Johnny Girroir, Dante Oliveira, Josh Toth and Cody Barnes — who replaced the injured Craig DeLong — fell just short of first-place France. Led by Mateo Oliveira, Grant Davis and Jason Tino, the Junior World Trophy Team battled to a third-place finish, while Sweden captured first-place honors and France clinched second.

On the Club front, Team Eric Cleveland Memorial — helmed by the trio of Jocelyn Barnes, Rachel Stout and Olivia Pugh — became the first winner of the inaugural Women’s Club Team competition. Barnes, Pugh and Stout finished as the top three women’s club riders individually during the event, helping the team win by nearly two hours over second-place Builth Wells MCC Ladies.

In the race for the Club Team Award, Team GTBN and XC Gear collected second and fourth place, respectively. For more information regarding the 2024 ISDE, visit https://fim-isde.com/.

WOW, THAT’S NOT ALL THERE IS–

Shit is nuts, but I hope it calms down. I had a terrific conversation with Berry Wardlaw of Accurate Engineering. He took the Assalt Weapan to A2 Wind Tunnel on the east coast. They had a blast playing with options.

This system will tell you how much horsepower you need to reach the speed you desire based on the motorcycle’s profile. It will tell you about front end lift and what to do about it. He plans to make a new front fairing and a cowling around the front of the frame and nitrous bottle, then the crew will return to the wind tunnel for additional testing. Hang On. We will send you additional reports and info shortly.

I’m getting a kick out of this election stuff. This was major.

Micah sent me a scan of this certificate. We are working on our packages for 5-ball Racing Sponsors. Wouldn’t it be a kick to roll the Salt Torpedo into a Wind Tunnel.

Marilyn Stemp offered some of her antique stash to the Emporium, some of which was busted. I brazed this piece and now it can be displayed for sale. The Knucklehead is wired and this weekend I’ll add fuel and see about firing the beast.

I’m also anxious to talk to Lonnie Isam about my 1913 Board Track racer. I need his help with the engine rebuild and I know he’s trying to retire. The Sturgis Museum Board meeting is coming up. It’s tough, as there are a multitude of projects on the table. It’s about deciding which ones to choose and mustering the talent to make each one work successfully.

Next year will kick ass in so many respects.

Stay alert and ride safe,

GoPro getting crushed, to layoff staff

GoPro, the brand synonymous with action cameras and automotive videos is being pounded by the competition, the consumers and the stock market. GoPro is planning to layoff a Quarter of Its Staff.

GoPro has recently faced increased competition. Once the only man about town, Insta360 and DJI have since entered the space with better tech, smaller cameras, easier-to-use backend apps, and cheaper offerings. These two primary rivals have actually delivered reliable and competitive cameras.

GoPro in its recent statement mentioned they will be laying off 26 % of its staff. Originally they had planned only 15 % layoff earlier this year.

Stock price has fallen precipitously in recent years for GoPro as sales declined, inventory stockpiled, and the brand name lost a little bit of its “action”. Their market share is still being poached by the fast growing Insta360.

GoPro’s is having a hard time upgrading their cameras in meaningful ways. Innovation was initially easy, fast and large-scale. The photos and reels were glamourous, spectacular. Then on, their changes were incremental to the point where consumers have to ask themselves, “Why do I need another new GoPro when it’s so close to the last one?”

Apple faces this same problem with each successive iPhone.

In near future, GoPro might have to reinvent itself in the new world of AI and open-source–or it may have to accept acquisition or forced mergers.

Well, that sucks balls because in the recent festive sales, I had got myself an alleged bargain for the latest GoPro HERO 13 Black. So far, they have yet to bring the accessories to overseas market for this pricey bling. Am I stuck with a lemon? Time will tell and shit will smell.

Below is the features and specs and usage of this latest GoPro 13 from a Vlogger on YouTube

Alberta’s Ruling Party Embraces CO2, ‘Notorious’ CO2 Coalition Credited

VOTING MONDAY–

In case you forgot. Many of the measures in South Dakota are misleading. You need to read them over and over to catch the real direction. If you’re not sure Vote No. Maybe they will straighten it out the next time.

Tuesday Is Election Day

Next Tuesday is Election Day. With the election on the horizon, legislators nationwide are in full last-minute campaign mode. Congress may have its eyes already turned toward election results, but we will follow up on our release from last Friday.

Last week, a dozen bipartisan members of the House of Representatives sent a letter to Sophie Shulman, the Acting Administrator of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) expressing concerns about Tesla’s Full Self-Driving and Autopilot software. The letter highlights concerns regarding “An alarming pattern of Teslas with Autopilot engaged causing fatal accidents with motorcyclists, bicyclists and stopped emergency vehicles.”

The lawmakers seek two remedies from NHTSA. First, improved crash reporting, including allowing other road users, such as motorcyclists, to report crashes to NHTSA. Second, enforcing restrictions on where and when autopilot systems can be activated.

The Motorcycle Riders Foundation (MRF) worked in conjunction with the Dawn Project on this letter from Congress. The Dawn Project’s mission is to make sure computers are safe for humanity, by making certain that safety-critical software systems never fail and are not hackable.

The MRF would like to thank our members who contacted their representatives about the letter. Additionally, we are grateful to Representative Anne McLane Kuster of New Hampshire who helped lead this effort as well as the additional 11 members of Congress whose signatures appear on the letter:

Rep. Julia Brownley (CA)

Rep. Salud Carbajal (CA)

Rep. Steve Cohen (TN)

Rep. Debbie Dingell (MI)

Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (PA)

Rep. Jesus “Chuy” Garcia (IL)

Rep. Jared Huffman (CA)

CRAZY JOHN IS BACK–

I was planning on writing the story of how the riserless handlebars I made in 1964 for my minibike were a prophesy for the riserless handlebars I made for my ’68 XLCH you put on the August 1976 cover of Easyriders after I got back from SEMA. And then at 4AM this morning I couldn’t sleep, so I thought I’d write it, but then this came out. David Mann told me I could become a writer and you gave me the chance to become a writer – becoming a photographer was a side effect.

The luck of the draw

How a person’s life shapes up is the luck of the draw. It’s the people you meet good or bad that cast the die for how things turn out. This said it’s high time that I thank the people that helped me make it this far. I’ll start with Keith “Bandit” Ball he’s the person that has made the biggest difference in how well things have turned out for me.

I met Keith in 1972 at the El Monte courthouse after Dean Pettigrew and I had appeared for a modified front end ticket for the 18-inch over springer on Dean’s ’60 XLH Sportster. Our choppers were parked across the street from the courthouse. Keith was riding a rat Panhead with an open primary. Keith worked for Easyriders magazine and was there representing the MMA (Modified Motorcycle Association) to help us fight the frontend ticket.

The next time I had dealings with Keith I had called to tell him the feature he wrote in Easyriders on Dean’s chopped ’68 Shovelhead with a 28-inch over girder was pure bullshit. Keith wrote the reason the tank on Dean’s bike didn’t match the rest of the paint was because the “lacquer hype” custom painter had split to Canada with Dean’s gas tank.

What Keith didn’t know is Dean hadn’t paid me in full for molding and painting his bike. Dean picked up his frame and rear fender but I still had his gas tank. I told Dean he needed to pay me off, or I was going to take the tank with me to Calgary to show people my work when I opened up Crazy John Custom Paint in Calgary — to be continued

THE CLIMATE REALISM CLIMATE QUESTIONS–Ten Fundamental Climate Questions the Media and Climate Alarmists Can’t or Won’t Answer

WUWT Editor’s Note: These ten questions below were compiled by Chris Martz and posted on his Twitter (X) feed. As we’ve noted routinely at Climate Realism, the media is so incompetent at even basic science, they’d never be able to answer these fundamental climate questions. If they were able to, we’d see balanced and accurate articles about climate issues rather than the usual doom-laden scare stories about a nonexistent “climate crisis” that we see nearly every day.

Guest Twitter repost by Chris Martz

Here are 10 fundamental questions that climate alarmists never answer.

1.You claim that the Earth is overheating. That it’s “too hot.” So, what is the correct global mean surface temperature (GMST) for life on Earth and why?

Please provide a numerical answer. Use units and round it to the nearest tenth of a degree Celsius. Then, explain why that value is ideal and cite evidence to justify your answer.

2. What is the correct atmospheric CO₂ level for life on Earth?

What is best to optimize our agricultural productivity?

What CO₂ level will make da weatha less scary?

Give your answer as an exact value as a mole fraction or volume percentage, and then explain why that value is ideal.

3. What exactly makes CO₂ “pollution”?

The EPA considers CO₂ to be a pollutant, legally speaking, under the Clean Air Act, and their scientific justification is simply that, it “…contributes to greenhouse gas pollution that threatens public health and welfare.”

That’s pretty ambiguous.

Because by that measure, water vapor should also be classified as a “pollutant” because it’s also a “greenhouse gas” (GHG) — it’s also the most abundant and potent GHG; it absorbs a wider spectrum of IR wavelengths than CO₂.

So, what actually makes CO₂ pollution?

4. Why are temperature departures from 1850-1900 climate conditions deemed as the human welfare control knob given that the overall human condition has never been better than it is today? How was climate during the end of the Little Ice Age — the coldest period in the last 10,000-years — preferable to today’s? On what account was the weather more benign? By what measure? Be specific. Tell me how the climate was supposedly less dangerous in the 17-19th centuries.

5. The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) that President Biden signed into law in 2022 was popularized as the “biggest climate bill in history,” but ever since the bill was signed, climate alarmists insist climate change has only gotten worse.

Why are we not seeing the bill work its magic?

6. If we spend $75 trillion to decarbonize the economy by 2050, by how much will it reduce the GMST by the end of the century? Please provide your answer to the nearest tenth of a degree Celsius and show your calculations.

What does the perfect climate look like? How will we know when we get there? By what measure?

7. The estimated cost of net zero by the year 2050 in the U.S. is $75 trillion ($3 trillion per year), according to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen.

That’s a hefty price tag.

And with ~260 million adult taxpayers, it would cost each of us $288,461.54 to get to “net zero emissions” by the target date. That’s 3-6-years’ worth of peoples’ salaries.

Are you willing to shell out that money, or do you just expect that everyone else will foot the bill for you?

Secondly, if you don’t know the answer to question six, then are we supposed to just spend that $75 trillion and see what happens?

8. If “combating climate change” is a global concerted effort, why do China and India get a free pass to continue emitting carbon dioxide without bound?

9. Why are you so vehemently opposed to the deployment of nuclear power? It is the safest, most sustainable “carbon-free” energy technology and without the compliance regulations, isn’t expensive when compared to solar PV and wind, which are inefficient, intermittent, costly add-ons to existing electricity generation sources.

10. If humans are a parasite to the Earth since we are destroying it, why then are you worried that climate change could wipe us all out? Wouldn’t that be better for Earth? Why don’t you be the change you want to see and “net zero” yourself?

I guarantee not one person will give me a coherent point-by-point answer. From ClimateREALISM

Hey,

I listen to the political stuff constantly and hope to go vote today. Let’s say for a second I was sitting in front of Trump or Vance having a whiskey around happy hour in Deadwood today. Let’s say they asked me what I thought would make American smile again and dance in the streets.

This would be my answer: Dear Sirs, I would like all the anti-American, anti-freedom policies to go away. I would like Climate Truth to be rewarded and doomsday gone, I would like flying in an airplane to be fun again (we have the technology). I would like the TSA folks to get new jobs learning landscaping and making all our roads clean and beautiful. I would like Americans to be strong financially and capable of having one adult home with the kids always. I would like kids to know we live in the best of times, not the worst. I would like honesty and integrity to be at the forefront of everything our government does and finally, I would like the infrastructure bill to pay for improved infrastructure all over the country and not bullshit policies and program designed to destroy our country. Let’s rock!

ASSALT WEAPAN WIND TUNNEL TESTING

At A2 Testing in Mooresville, North Carolina

We had to wait our turn at the high tech facility.

In 2007 the motorcycle named ASSALT WEAPAN Owned and built by Keith “Bandit” Ball of 5-Ball racing went 161 miles per hour at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah, with an Accurate Engineering 120-inch Panhead engine. We set a record and called it, “The World’s Fastest Panhead.” Not Bad for some grubby bikers.

On October 14, 2024, the builder of the engine in that motorcycle Berry Wardlaw of ACCURATE ENGINEERING in Dothan Alabama took the motorcycle to A2 WIND TUNNEL in Mooresville North Carolina -https://a2wt.com/

Berry and I met in Mooresville Sunday evening so we would be ready for testing early Monday morning.

When we got to the wind tunnel Michael Beland of A1 Racing and two of his people were there to meet us. Mike was going to be the rider for most of the testing

https://www.a1cycles.net/racing

The first thing that Geoffrey Eaker the Manager/ Operator told us was that what we were about to do that day was going to change our minds about what we thought we knew about air flow. Boy Was He Right.

The motorcycle was secured to the floor of the wind tunnel

Yellow Yarn Tattle-Tails were attached to the motorcycle, these were going to give us a visual of how the air was flowing.

Mike made this statement about being on the motorcycle in the wind tunnel (It’s Easy– Don’t Move A Muscle For Three Minutes, LOL. What A Core Workout)

While Mike was on the motorcycle multiple things were being recorded in the control room.

After each run some minor temporary changes were made to see what affect they had. The information gained by each change was all recorded and will be reviewed in the future to see what changes can be made to the motorcycle without changing the class it runs in.

I can tell you we did learn how to make the motorcycle faster, the rest is up to what Berry and Keith want to share prior to making changes and setting a new record.

The plan is to return to Bonneville and set a new record with Berry riding the motorcycle and the wind tunnel testing was going to help make it happen. Berry is going to rebuild the engine to be purpose-built for the Bonneville Motorcycle Speed Trials in 2025. He is going to add ceramic bearings in the wheels and other secret tricks. Bonneville is all about power, traction, aerodynamics and the balls to go very fast.

Berry did not have his racing leathers with him, but he did get an opportunity to do a wind tunnel test. He was Very Pleased.

There is still a lot to do, and it is going to be very interesting.

There will be a lot more to this and I am sure Keith and Berry will keep you updated, well on most of it anyway, still got to keep the racers edge, can’t give all the secrets away.

–Rogue
