In an effort to curb youths from performing risky motorcycle stunts around India Gate, police carried out a late night checking drive in New Delhi area, slapping fines on 139 motorcycle riders and impounding 23 bikes. Cases were registered against three motorcyclists also, police said. In the first day of the drive on Saturday, 84 motorcycles were challaned and eight were impounded. The drive was a joint effort of New Delhi police and traffic police during which more than 40 check points were set up at India Gate, Mandir Marg, Connaught Place, and others. Suburban Harley-Davidson’s Steve Rapp took his third straight win at the fourth round of the 2013 AMA Pro Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson series at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio, but it was anything but a straightforward charge from the front of the field like his previous two wins.
