The rally started 21 years ago when Senator Ben Night-Horse Campbell and Mike Lovato started talking. Back then there was nothing in Colorado for the biker community. These two along with a host of other put together the first rally. But this was not just about bikers, this brought the biker community to the west with the addition of bull riding. Sources within the motorcycle industry have told Bikernet that shipment of the 2014 Indian Chief motorcycles is pushed back a few weeks. This delay, according to sources, may be due to an assembly change that was determined during final testing. We're told that the change has been developed and is currently in testing. San Diego BMW Motorcycles captured five records with its BMW S 1000 RR at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Wendover, Utah, during the International Motorcycle Speed Trials by BUB event held August 24-29.  The accomplishment comes on the heels of the record set during the previous SCTA Speedweek event, allowing the BMW S 1000 RR to hold on to its title of the world’s fastest BMW motorcycle. Both pilots, Erin Hunter and Andy Sills, of Hunter Sills Racing, earned records in FIM and AMA 1000cc categories. Read more

For the last 85 years, Steven Janicki of Roseville has been sailing down the highway of life on two wheels. At age 10, he began riding motorcycles on his family’s in Bridgewater, N.Y. and as he approaches his 96th birthday, he still enjoys the thrill of the ride. “Someone gave my brother an Indian Motorcycle,” he said. “One of the two cylinders was shot.
