Forged Aluminum with a Brilliant Chrome Finish and Intricate Details
MILWAUKEE (October 15, 2004) ? The directional spokes of the new Road Winder Custom Wheel ($1,199.95) from Harley-Davidson Genuine Motor Accessories create the appearance of forward motion even when the Harley-Davidson motorcycle is standing still. The thin profile of the spokes opens up the wheel and showcases the available matching Road Winder brake rotors and sprocket. Forged from 6061 aluminum alloy under an 8,000-ton press, the Road Winder has a smooth, mirror-like chrome finish. Details like the edge rivets and Bar and Shield logos are forged into the surface of this one-piece wheel.
Like all Harley-Davidson wheels, the Road Winder bears DOT and JWL markings and meets the requirements of those agencies. Thirteen different Road Winder wheels are available for front and rear fitment on many 2000 and later Harley-Davidson Softail, Sportster, Dyna and Touring models.

“Politicians, same’s you,” replied the small ‘gator.
“Hmm. Well, where ya catch ’em?”
“Down ‘tother side the swamp near the parkin’ lot, by the capitol.”

BIKERNET BLONDE FILES–A Blonde enters a store that sells curtains. She tells the salesman, “I would like to buy a pair of pink curtains.”
The salesman assures her that they have a large selection of pink curtains. He shows her several patterns, but the blond seems to be having a hard time choosing.
Finally she selects a lovely pink floral print. The salesman then asks what size curtains she needs. The blond promptly replies, “fifteen inches.”
“Fifteen inches???” asked the salesman. “That sounds very small, what room are they for?”
The blond tells him that they aren’t for a room, they are for her computer monitor.
The surprised salesman replies, “but Miss, computers do not need curtains!”
The blond says, “Hellllooooooooo … I’ve got Windows!

Bradley’s service–I just returned from Barley’s services. The first thing that comes to mind is that combining sleep deprivation and funeral services are not always the best thing to do. I pulled an all-nighter at the shop to weasel enough time away from the shop to pay my respects to Bradley and all his loved ones. And there were no shortage of loved ones attending the services (standing room only). I know there was a ton of people who were not able to attend because if all the people attended who loved this Brother, I know there isn’t a place big enough. Now it has been a while since I’ve been to a funeral or a church service so I guess you might say I am not much of a religious man. I do believe that it is important to keep your word, take care of your responsibilities, do the right thing, always try not to hurt anyone intentionally and basically conduct your self in a righteous manner.
There was never a doubt that those were all qualities our friend possessed before this day but as the service was conducted this was explained by the minister as well. As the minister told it, Bradley always came to him around the holidays to see if there was someone who needed financial help and always gave generously and anonymously. He talked much of the kindness Bradley spread around and shared with us all. He read a little story Bradley?s little girl Billy wrote for the service and I know that was the hardest part of the service for every one ( even I had a hard time to maintain my composure ). She had some good things to say and is very strong about Bradley’s passing. They closed the services by leading us in front of Bradley to give us the opportunity to say good by in our own ways.
I stayed true to in our friendship and as usual I apologized to Bradley for not staying for the rest of the party so I could get a bit of rest before returning to work. I sure will miss having Bradley here with all of us and I extend my sincere condolences to His wife, Daughter, friends and family. I think we all need to continue our support to Frank and the rest of the crew at Hands off Polishing who will continue to provide quality services for all our polishing needs.
I have had limited contact with Frank but from working with him so far I can tell you he is a good guy who vows to keep the shop rolling and Bradley’s Family fed and for that I say Frank is one hell of a stand up guy. I will do all I can to help him make it happen and if anyone needs some polishing done, please give them a shot. I can easily say you won?t be disappointed with the quality of their work.
They can be reached at 224 Bldg. A Garvin st Garland, Texas 75040 Phone 972-487-8220
God speed Bradley!

BIG TWIN WEST–Dealer registrations coming in for Big Twin West THE dealer registration program for the upcoming Big Twin West expo formally opened in mid October, by which time the show had already notched up ‘promising’ dealer reaction according to Advanstar’s divisional general Manager Tracey Harris.
“Typically we don’t expect to start attendee sign-ups until some six weeks or so before an event,” Harris told AMD, “but when we did start the process of actively canvassing from the extensive pre-marketing we had done, we started from a high level.”The event is slated for the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, for Saturday November 20th and Sunday 21st. The event had originally been announced for late January this year, but clashes with other events, not least the Harley-Davidson Dealer Conference in Orlando, resulted in a re-think.
“People have always said that Fall shows and West Coast shows don’t really pull in dealers. But we are all about listening to our customers,” Harris said. “A lot of dealers from the West Coast have suggested that the Dealer Expo in February is too late for their earlier-starting and longer riding season, and too far for them to go. Also, a lot of exhibitors have suggested Las Vegas as a show venue for the V-twin sector, so we are all set to break the mold. We believe a Fall show in the South West can and will work, and to judge against dealer sign-ups at the same stage last year for the Dirt Expo we held at the same venue at around the same time, we are ahead.”
Advanstar has partnered with Hot Bike to promote Big Twin West and East, and in addition to a Saturday night industry party, attendees are invited to a builder breakfast with top-name customizers such as Cory Ness, Aaron Greene (Paramount Custom Cycles), Kevin Alsop (Big Bear Choppers), Kim Suter (KC Creations), Jim Nasi, Rick Kairless (Strokers Dallas) and Matt Hotch due to attend the show and display recent custom projects.
Currently, getting on for some 150 exhibitors (AMD included) are signed up for the show. If you think being part of a unique opportunity to see the custom V-twin industry ‘do Vegas’ sounds like your kind of fun, at a time of year that looks increasingly useful given the changed nature of buying needs in the market these days, give it a go and be sure to come by and visit with the AMD team.

That’s It For The News–Since today is my second childs birthday, I’ve decided to say screw it to work on the building and head out for pizza and salad bar.
My son, Kyle, turned twenty today. Not a child anymore, but not quite a man yet either. Even though he’d like to think so.
Have a great weekend, mine will be busy with work around here.
