Hey,
Hope everyone had a stellar Thanksgiving Holiday. So the Holidays are officially kicked off. Hang on. Here’s what it means to Bikernet.com: We’ve started working on the Assalt Weapan. We are installing a Pegasus EFI system today and Stu, the Pegasus Engineer, is helping 5-Ball Racing build a wind tunnel. You’ll see the EFI tech in the near future.

We’re wrapping up our Bonneville book for Wolfgang publishing and writing articles about the new Sucker Punch Sally bikes. We’re working with the crew of Rollin Sixes Choppers to send a batch of Christmas T-shirts and goodies to our troops and there’s a couple of other surprises. Let’s hit to the news so I can eat leftovers and scramble down to the shop.

MONSTER BIKE FROM GERMANY– Tilo Niebel, top right, and his team pose on their new Monster Bike as it is driven onto a scale in the village of Zilly, eastern Germany, today. The handmade bike with sidecar weighs 10,450 pounds; measures approximately 17 feet 8 inches long, 8 feet 6 inches wide and 7 feet 8 inches high; and is propelled by the 800-horsepower engine of a former Russian T55 tank.

BIKERNET.COM BONNEVILLE BOOK FROM WOLFGANG PUBLISHING– Bandit, looking forward to that Bonneville book. I had received the picture books by Scooter Grubb a while back. Great pictures, but kinda small for a picture book. Not in number of pages but physical size. But hey, if that’s all I got to bitch about then shame on me right?
Anyways, back to thanksgiving. One of the many things I’m thankful for this year was being able to sponsor 5-Ball Racings Bonneville effort this year. Was only a couple hundred bucks but in my head I was there helping out. Maybe I’ll be out there in ’09. Have always wanted to go so who knows. Hope you and yours had a great turkey day. I did and I’m in for leftovers.

T-SHIRTS TO SERVICEMEN CHRISTMAS PROGRAM FROM BIKERNET.COM AND ROLLING SIXES CHOPPERS– I’m writing you from the Los Angeles Derby Doll league (banked track roller derby league). Wondering if you can fill us in on your T-shirt drive? Like, who gets and distributes the T-shirts to the troops? What is the timeframe in which you need the shirts? Etc.
–Dragon Yerface, L.A.D.D.
I believe we need to make our shipments to Iraq and Afghanistan by the middle of December, for the guys to receive them at or before Christmas. Send shirts or goodies to Bikernet.com, 200 N. Broad Ave. Wilmington, CA 90744. We’ll take care of them.–Bandit

MORE ON CHRISTMAS T-SHIRT DRIVE– I saw the article on the site concerning the T-shirt drive from Rollin, Sixes and Bikernet and wanted to pass this on. We are donating 3 dozen shirts from our locations to help out, we are truly behind our heros. Attached is my thanksgiving message on our readerboard sign, and believe me, I’ve had quite a response from it. Keep on keepin’ on.

BIKERNET ALASKAN TOUR UNDERWAY– I used to work for the Alaska Marine Highway system. For about ten years I was the vessel construction manager. I still know many of the managers. I am trying to arrange some motorcycle related stuff for your trip. No guarantees, of course, but I’m giving it a try.
I was thinking of a motorcycle film festival. It is a couple of days ride from Bellingham to Juneau. I’ll see if I can get them to load up on motorcycle movies. They will have to be PG. If it works out I’ll get back with you and get some title suggestions.
If you have any ideas to make the ride more fun, let me know. I’ll be hitting them up for reduced fares, meals or anything else. I’m not too confident but you never know. Maybe if everyone books together I can arrange some kind of discount.
Also, there is a bar onboard. They have the usual hours of operation. If there is enough demand, they might consider keeping the bar open longer. I’ll look into that.

2008 EVENT PLANNING SERIOUS CONSIDERATION–As you are planning your 2008 travel schedule I would like to invite you to consider planning to attend an ASMI fundraiser! Not only are these events First Class but you will also be helping to support an organization dedicated to reducing injuries and fatalities to motorcyclists.
Join Join Fliers will be sent to previous participants and Registration will be open after January 1st. If you have not taken the opportunity to experience an –Vicki Roberts-Sanfelipo, RN/EMT SUNDAY CANTINA HOUSEHOLD SEMINAR– PLEASE BE SURE YOU READ THE LAST ONE ABOUT THE CLOTHES DRYER!!!!!! 1. Reheat Pizza Heat up leftover pizza in a nonstick skillet on top of the stove, set heat to med-low and heat till warm. This keeps the crust crispy. No soggy micro pizza. I saw this on the cooking channel and it really works. 2. No More Mosquitoes Place a dryer sheet in your pocket. It will keep the mosquitoes away. 3. Squirrel Away! To keep squirrels from eating your plants sprinkle your plants with cayenne pepper. The cayenne pepper doesn’t hurt the plant and the squirrels won’t come near it. 4. Flexible vacuum To get something out of a heat register or under the fridge add an empty paper towel roll or empty gift wrap roll to your vacuum. It can be bent or flattened to get in narrow openings. 5. Reducing Static Cling Pin a small safety pin to the seam of your slip and you will not have a clingy skirt or dress. Same thing works with slacks that cling when wearing panty hose. Place pin in seam of slacks and ta da! — static is gone. 6. Measuring Cups Before you pour sticky substances into a measuring cup, fill with hot water. Dump out the hot water, but don’t dry cup. Next, add your ingredient, such as peanut butter, and watch how easily it comes right out. 7. Reopening envelope If you seal an envelope and then realize you forgot to include something inside, just place your sealed envelope in the freezer for an hour or two. Viola! It unseals easily 8. Conditioner Use your hair conditioner to shave your legs. It’s a lot cheaper than shaving cream and leaves your legs really smooth. It’s also a great way to use up the conditioner you bought but didn’t like when you tried it in your hair… 9. Goodbye Fruit Flies To get rid of pesky fruit flies, take a small glass fill it 1/2″ with Apple Cider Vinegar and 2 drops of dish washing liquid, mix well. You will find those flies drawn to the cup and gone forever! 10. Get Rid of Ants Put small piles of cornmeal where you see ants. They eat it, take it “home”, can’t digest it so it kills them. It may take a week or so, especially if it rains, but it works & you don’t have the worry about pets or small children being harmed! 11 . INFO ABOUT CLOTHES DRYERS The heating unit went out on my dryer! The gentleman that fixes things around the house for us told us that he wanted to show us something and he went over to the dryer and pulled out the lint filter. It was clean. (I always clean the lint from the filter after every load clothes.) He told us that he wanted to show us something; he took the filter over to the sink, ran hot water over it. The lint filter is made of a mesh material – I’m sure you know what your dryer’s lint filter looks like. WELL…the hot water just sat on top of the mesh! It didn’t go through it at all! He told us that dryer sheets cause a film over that mesh that’s what burns out the heating unit. You can’t SEE the film , but it’s there. It’s what is in the dryer sheets to make your clothes soft and static free – that nice fragrance too, you know how they can feel waxy when you take them out of the box, well this stuff builds up on your clothes and on your lint screen. This is also! what causes dryer units to catch fire & potentially burn your house down with it! He said the best way to keep your dryer working for a very long time (& to keep your electric bill lower) is to take that filter out & wash it with hot soapy water & an old toothbrush (or other brush) at least every six months. He said that makes the life of the dryer at least twice as long! How about that? Learn something new every day! I certainly didn’t know dryer sheets would do that. So, I thought I’d share! Note: I went to my dryer & tested my screen by running water on it. The water ran through a little bit but mostly collected all the water in the mesh screen. I washed it with warm soapy water & a nylon brush & I had it done in 30 seconds. Then when I rinsed it the water ran right Thru the screen! There wasn’t any puddling at all! That repairman knew what he was talking about! NOT ONLY COULD IT SAVE SOMEONE’S HOME, BUT IT COULD SAVE SOMEONE’S LIFE. DAWSON’S HAMSTERS THANKSGIVING GREETINGS FROM SOUTH DAKOTA– Grateful greetings Keith, Thanks for sending out the essence of the Season to all Hamsters and friends. The Clouds will always be bunchin’ up against them Hills. We just gotta keep out-riding the Storm. Two-wheelin’ and free in the Dakota’s, –Dawson CUSTOM BIKE PARTS FROM SOUTH AFRICA– Hey Keith, I’m going to market the seat pans for sure but I don’t want to go off half cocked. I’m in the process of getting the mounting kits plated and want to have a good inventory before I get going. I’ve sent some pix of my design on Coil covers. I was into this whole tribal deal and as you know things take time put together but here they are. Also my version of the offset sprocket cover. They still have to be drilled and milled. I only produce parts for Sporty’s and have every part one could dream of either in production or in stock. My only concern is my Springer design. I need it to be tested, so I’m in the process of building a rig to bolt to my buddies pickup. He does a lot off long distance driving and I want to stress the setup to failure. It is going to be comical. A dude driving down the freeway with a springer front end hanging off the back acting as a fifth wheel. I LOVE THIS SHIT. I only get about 3 hours sleep at night and then I’m back at it. –Mikey We can’t wait to feature your testing procedure. Keep us posted.–Bandit BIKERNET HOLIDAY SPONSORSHIP OFFER–We’ve reduced our Sponsorship rates 40 percent for the Holidays, since it’s a slow time and a time of giving. Don’t hesitate to drop us a line if you’d like to be involved in any capacity from contributing or becoming an advertiser. Watch for more info this coming Thursday. NEW DEALS FROM CALIFORNIA CUSTOMS– New deals from California Customs. Long known as an innovator in our industry California Customs has some new things in the works for 2008. In order to better serve the growing number of female riders California Customs has designed a complete package just for the women that want a custom built motorcycle. We didn’t want to design just one or two models for women the way others have done in the past, we feel that would be far too restrictive. What we have done is made it so every one of our 25 models is able to be custom tailored to fit a rider of any stature, male or female. Another innovation from California Customs is our No Comparison challenge. We already know we offer more models and use more high quality parts than any other builder so we’re offering a new challenge. If a customer can bring in a build list from another licensed builder using the same high quality parts we use we’ll meet or beat their price. So whether you’re shopping for price or quality we feel there is no comparison. Award winning design and craftsmanship meets real world pricing. We’re also continuing our discounts to active duty service personnel as we have since 2003. Look for our new line of high quality parts coming in 2008 too. For more information contact California Customs at 888-707-CUSTOM or 408-954-8972. Our web address is www.calcustom.com. THE LAST OF A BREED DOWN– My name is David D. McCormick. My father, H.D. was a guy you knew from Seattle, who really liked to shoot the bull with you, but never took up much of your time because, if he was in your shoes he’d be just as busy. He used to send you earthquake indicators and the turtle shell helmet with the DOT sticker on the back. I just wanted you to know that he died a short while back. He was the oldest and last original Jolly Rogers mc member. He used to build a lot of scoots from scratch and do restorations for a few lucky people. He was always a proud man and kept his shit to himself. He was always looking foward to seeing you in Sturgis every time we rode over there. I’m glad we had the chance to do that a few times. His health just gave out on him. His lungs had so much of the past left in them he could no longer leave the house. He sold off his bikes and settled in and waited to die. I have one of the books you sent him and I’m gonna try to get the rest of them from his widow. Don’t know how thats gonna go down but I live in Wyoming and have had surgery twice in the last year so I couldn’t get up there to see him one last time. Anyway, I just wanted you to know about his passing. We’ve lost a real old school bro. –David. RSD GAS IT, FUEL INJECTION KIT– ROLAND Sands Design’s latest new product development is the ‘Gas It’ fuel injection kit. It is a weld-in tank port (measuring 3.75in x 8.0in), which uses the stock H-D EFI components and relocates the fuel pump, regulator and filter to the underside of the fuel tank, allowing the use of almost any custom gas tank. A vented tank or vented gas cap is required. Weld-in steel manifold, all fasteners, hardware, bill of materials and instructions are included in the kit and further details will be released on the RSD website. ROLAND SANDS DESIGN

That?s End Of The Sunday Post–Mil Blair is here and they are elbow deep in the Assalt Weapan. We?re trying to wrap up two things this week; the sponsor packages for the Bonneville sponsors and the last of the text and images for the Bonneville book. We have been all-consumed with these tasks, haven?t forgot about anyone, just working at a steady pace to balance out Bikernet and everything else.
Bandit has a couple of new articles almost finished that I think you?ll get a kick out of. As for me, I?m scrambling as fast as I can right behind him. I hope you had a great weekend, and an even better week!
