TECH QUESTION OF THE WEEK–I’m thinking about running a 24-tooth sprocket on my JIMS 5-speed and a 48 tooth sprocket on the rear since I don’t have a six speed. I want to keep the revs down at highway speeds and I’m running a 100-inch Crazy Horse engine, so I have plenty of power.
“That gearing sounds about right,” said Gard Hollinger, of LA Chop Rods. “However it’s usually best to run odd and even teeth so the chain isn’t always running on the same ones. Don’t know if it really makes any difference but that’s supposedly the best deal.”

HOUSTON BIKERNET UNDERCOVER AGENT SURFACES–Here is a shot I thought was kind of cool. I had just gotten back from the “devils” to pick up a clutch cable for the FLH which had broken when I was out riding her earlier that evening. Good thing I live right off the beltway & 290, no way in hell I could push that big ol’ girl through an intersection and then jump on her and drop her in gear!

PARTS AVAILABLE FOR THE NEW H-D XR 1200–Wow, what a great Harley, the new XR 1200!!It strongly reminds us of the old US dirt-track-racing times in its form and this blood-orange colouring is so very erotic. The bike excited us so much that we decided to make something special for it ? nothing ordinary but as extraordinary as the XR itself!!
The new Wilbers suspension for the XR, consists of tenser progressive fork springs and fitting fork oil to ensure that the front does not compress as quickly as with the OEM setup. The response characteristics of the fork are therewith further increased due to the progressive coils of the springs.
The specially build shock absorbers type ?XR? 633 with compression tank are made with new high-end ?spring-steering? piston rods which greatly improve response and enable very sensitive damping control. Depending on the compression speed the ?spring-steering? now affects the oil flow within the piston channels to avoid hydraulic blocking!
The shocks with compression reservoirs naturally possess integrated high- and low-speed adjustment in 22-clicks each, tuneable rebound in 22-clicks and continuously adjustable preload. Their lengths are designed to lift the seating height of the motorcycle for 15 mm ? together with the fork spring kit this raising enormously influences ground clearance!
All adjustment possibilities, the ground clearance and the response behaviour of the suspension are now in accordance to the most modern state-of-art!
So are the shock absorbers type ?XR? 630, however those stereo shocks lack the flexible compression adjustment. Here the seating height is increased for 10 mm to again offer more ground clearance than the original version!
In a whole the new suspension setup together with the new vehicle geometry will lead to more agility in handling and riding behaviour!With the optic we conformed ourselves to the hot-blooded ?XR? and decided to pick blood-orange springs to create even more floating transitions!
As a matter of course at Wilbers all suspension parts are build individually for the customer, referring to riders? weight and operation within 14 working days and are delivered with 5 years warranty and an ABE (general permission of operation)!

If listed as motorcycles collisions, crashes, injury and deaths will be added to statistics for two wheel vehicles and the three wheel vehicles we now know as motorcycles If they are listed as motorcycles, will occupants be required to wear helmets in states that require them?
Will the operators be required to have a motorcycle endorsement? Will they have to take the mandatory rider training courses like they are in Florida?

THE CODE OF THE WEST FOR Non-Military FOLK WHO CARE– Dear Civilians, ‘We know that the current state of affairs in our great nation has many civilians up in arms and excited to join the military.
For those of you who can’t join, you can still lend a hand. Here are a few of the areas where we would like your assistance:
1. The next time you see any adults talking (or wearing a hat) during the playing of the National Anthem – kick their ass.
2. When you witness, firsthand, someone burning the American Flag in protest – kick their ass.
3. Regardless of the rank they held while they served, pay the highest amount of respect to all veterans. If you see anyone doing otherwise, quietly pull them aside and explain how these veterans fought for the very freedom they bask in every second. Enlighten them on the many sacrifices these veterans made to make this Nation great. Then hold them down while a disabled veteran kicks their ass.
4. (GUYS) If you were never in the military, DO NOT pretend that you were. Wearing battle dress uniforms (BDUs) or Jungle Fatigues, telling others that you used to be ‘Special Forces,’ and collecting GI Joe memorabilia, might have been okay when you were seven years old. Now, it will only make you look stupid and get your ass kicked.
5. Next time you come across an Air Force member, do not ask them, ‘Do you fly a jet?’ Not everyone in the Air Force is a pilot. Such ignorance deserves an ass-kicking (children are exempt).
6. If you witness someone calling the US Coast Guard ‘non-military’, Inform them of their mistake – and kick their ass.
