Camel sits on Florida woman, who bites its testicles to free herself

A deputy said the couple had been provoking the camel and cited them for a leash law violation.

GROSSE TETE, La. (AP) — A camel at a truck stop petting zoo is now going to be known for its other humps.

According to Iberville Parish Sheriff’s officials, a Florida woman’s husband was throwing treats to their dog under a camel’s barbed-wire fence. The dog went into the enclosure, so the woman crawled in to retrieve it. Tiger Truck Stop, near Baton Rouge, keeps Caspar the camel as an attraction.

When the 600-pound camel sat on her, the woman bit the camel’s testicles to free herself. She was taken to a hospital.
