We receive more international news all the time since Bikernet is read world wide. I’m fortunate to be able to bring you a taste of the talented Nicolas Chauvin from France. He’s one of the builders selected by S&S this year as they expanded their competition to Europe. We will feature all the bikes involved on Bikernet in the coming months.
Since I can’t readily call Nic and interview him, I’m going to post his e-mails and the bio off his site surrounded by photography of his amazing bikes. Hang on.

His teachers thought he was so talented that he should go to Art school and Bob, his father (who is also an artist) encouraged him in this way.At 20, after graduating Art school Paris and working as airbrush illustrator for advertising agencies, Nicolas devote mainly to the construction of top bikes as discipline to combine his multiple aptitudes: creativity, design, sheet metal, engineering, mechanical, painting…
Each one-of-a-kind is made with the best combination of original technique and beauty for the ultimate ride on “sculptures on wheels”.In 20 years of experiment, Nicolas makes a name by himself by winning many Best of show in Europe and USA (including Best Champion Big Daddy Rat's Hole show Daytona'99) and having his work published in numerous magazines worldwide and prestigious books as”The Art of the Chopper II” (Tom Zimberoff), “The Art of the Harley” (Barbican Art Gallery) and “Bikers Variations” (Bernard de Tournadre) to name a few.
His creations are exhibited in Art museum in UK London Barbican Art Gallery, Liverpool Museum and in Sweden at Kulturhuset beside Arlen Ness, Dave Perewitz, Rick Doss etc…
