SUNDAY POST–MOTORCYCLE RIGHTS, THE ONLY FREEDOM FIGHTERS LEFT IN AMERICA
Gotta call today. Seems we haven’t launched a drama in a couple of weeks. Goddamnit, I can’t control these bitches. I wrote the sonuvabitch, bled my heart out and they can’t post the motherfucker. Ah well, I had dynamite weekend in New Orleans. Some 1500 leaders of the motorcycle rights family get together annually for this conference about motorcycle legislation and what works, and what doesn’t. It was fascinating to drink all night on the French Quarter and try to focus on the seminars the next day. Let’s get to the news:

OFFICIAL VAGOS MC PRESS RELEASE In response to the many news media reports linking the Vagos Motorcycle Club to the incident that occurred in Harrah’s Casino in Laughlin, Nevada, and to claims it is joining in a gang war with other motorcycle clubs, the Vagos M/C wishes to submit the following statement:

As a result of events that occurred at Harrah’s Casino in Laughlin, Nevada, during the River Run on April 26 – 28, 2002, allegedly involving members of the Hells Angels and Mongols motorcycle clubs, there have been numerous statements published in the press attributing claims to law enforcement agencies that the Vagos Motorcycle Club is part of an alliance formed by the Mongols and other motorcycle clubs to side against the Hells Angels. If there are sides to be taken in any alleged dispute between the Mongols and Hells Angels (and the Vagos M/C does not mean to imply by this statement that any dispute exists), the Vagos Motorcycle Club is not taking any side and emphatically denies being a party to any coalition or agreement with any motorcycle organization(s) against the Hells Angels or any other motorcycle club. The Vagos Motorcycle Club is an independent organization and is not affiliated with or a part of any alliances with any other clubs.

The Vagos M/C believes that such unfounded reports are nothing less than “sensationalism,” resulting from law enforcement’s manipulation of the news media, in an effort to inflame or frighten the public and affect its sentiment toward motorcycle clubs, in general. Law enforcement agencies have historically discriminated against bikers and their organizations, who have been successful in numerous civil suits across the country in challenging the actions of law enforcement that violate the civil liberties and constitutional rights of club members.

We will publish the full article in our Special Reports section and in the Thursday Bikernet News.

About The Woman Across The Bar

A man enters his favorite ritzy restaurant and while sitting at his regular table, he notices a gorgeous woman sitting at a nearby table all alone.

He calls the waiter over and asks for their most expensive bottle of Merlot to be sent over to her knowing that, if she accepts it, she is his. The waiter gets the bottle and quickly sends it over to the woman, saying this is from the gentleman over there. She looks at the wine and sends a note over to the man.

The note reads: “For me to accept this bottle, you need to have a Mercedes in your garage, a million dollars in the bank, and seven inches in your pants.”

The man, after reading her note, chuckles, and sends a note of his own back to her, and it read: “Just so you know, I happen to have a Ferrari Testarosa, a BMW 850iL and a Mercedes 600SL in my garage, and I have over twenty-five million dollars in the bank. But, not even for a woman as beautiful as you, would I cut three inches off.

JUST SEND THE BOTTLE BACK.”

New Book Is Coming

With 50 photographs in elegant, spare black and white, The Biker Code captures the iconoclasts, free spirits and born-to-ride outlaws of Planet Harley. In portraying the men and women from all over America who define themselves by their bikes, Stuart Miller and Geoffrey Moss find poetry in the details: the insouciance of stickers on a helmet (“places to go, people to piss off”), the intricate patterns etched into an improbably tattooed back, the sun glinting off a cat’s eye head lamp. Punctuating the photographs are original drawings depicting biker-specific road signs, and tenets of folk-wisdom passed along by those who live by the biker gospel. These incisive and gritty commentaries on the hog-ridin’ lifestyle include such proclamations as:

* “If you want to ride nothing should stop you — nothing.”

* “There are two kinds of riders, those that have been down and those that are going down.”

* “Emotional reactions are dangerous. Keep your eyes on the road.”

* “I am a quiet person, but when I’m riding all of that goes away.”

President Bush and Colin Powell are sitting in a bar

A guy walks in and asks the barman, “Isn’t that Bush and Powell sitting over there?”

The barman says, “Yep, that’s them.”

So the guy walks over and says, “Wow, this is a real honor. What are you guys doing in here?”

Bush says, “We’re planning WW III.”

And the guy says, “Really? What’s going to happen?”

Bush says, “Well, we’re going to kill 140 million Iraqis this time and one blonde with big tits.”

The guy exclaimed, “A blonde with big tits? Why kill a blonde with big tits?

Bush turns to Powell, punches him on the shoulder and says, “See, smartass?! I told you no one would worry about 140 million Iraqis!”

One For The Road

Just returned from New Orleans and the National Coalition of Motorcyclists, and I’ll tell you about it in a Special Report on the conference. I’ve always said that we all should join our local motorcycle rights group and support these people no matter what. Did you know that the motorcycle rights movement in the US is the strongest most effective freedom fighters in the country, bar none. We even kick ass on the NRA. We are looking at more EPA infringement on bikes, more effects from the European Union and more clothing restrictions in the future if we don’t support the people who support us with their lives daily.

Write a check, get involved and ride free forever, –Bandit.
