Sunday Madness,
We’re innocent, I swear. Last week Black Market John finally went to court to reinstate his license. Ever since he’s been chompin’ to ride, although he doesn’t have California MC permit. He’s been riding for 15 years.
So last night we fire up the 2004 Sportster and he hits the road, but only gets two blocks. The Harbor Division of the LAPD swoop on the young man rolling along at 30 mph, trying to warm up the 1200 that’s been setting way too long. One cop jumps him about loud pipe, when the bike has a set of two-into-one fully muffled Samson Caliber exhaust. He climbs all over John, “I have a small child and I hate it when bikers wake the kid up,” The cop complained.

Some 70 percent of all motorcycle accidents are caused by motorists who don’t hear or see bikers. “I hate those bastards that run over motorcyclists,” I said from Union War Surplus, in downtown San Pedro, where I was trying to get my hands on a customized .45 Caliber Ruger pistol. Larry Crow of Competitive Edge Gun Works customized it as a tribute to the Accurate Engineering 120-inch Panhead Engine. I shut off my cell phone, shut down the book deal and headed to the King. I had to get back to Wilmas and save the kid. Whatta night. Let’s hit the news:

January 27, 2006 Ontario, CA – R-Max USA by Roadmax Transmissions is awarded the contract to supply transmissions for the Viper Motorcycle Company line of super cruiser motorcycles.
In 2006, Viper Motorcycle Company is shipping three super cruisers that include the power-cruiser Diablo, the pro-street Diamondback and the Dragon chopper. Each bike comes equipped with a 6-speed R-Max USA transmission and an optional 115 CI or 152 CI custom designed EVO-style Viper motor using the R-Max USA 2.0 kilowatt starter.
“We started out with six trannys and ran them through a punishing torture test for durability miles and handling horsepower,” stated Cory McWhorter, Viper Motorcycle Company Technical Director. “After durability we were looking for smooth shifting and easy neutral location. R-Max met our technical requirements and came in competitively priced.”
R-Max’s six speed transmission utilizes a 2.94:1 1st gear ratio, 2.21:1 2nd gear, 1.60:1 3rd gear, 1.23:1 4th gear, 1.00:1 5th gear, and .86:1 overdrive gear ratio for 6th gear. Internals consist of SAE8620H precision cut full width gears with increased dog area. Gears are back cut and diamond media blasted for a very smooth and quiet operation. The shift forks are made from heat treated ALBC3 alloy, which provides the forks superior strength. Used in combination with the R-Max USA proprietary shift drum, it offers Viper Motorcycle Company?s line of super cruisers smooth, positive shifting and longer reliability.
“Viper Motorcycle Company builds bikes with incredible horsepower to weight ratio,” says enthused Terry Nesbitt, President, Viper Motorcycle Company. “Our bikes are designed to sit you back in your seat and put a smile on your face.”
The high output 152 CI engine provides 160 HP of rideable power and hurtles the motorcycles up to 170MPH. From 1,900 to 5,000 rpm, the torque does not fall off and supplies the rider a forgiving and rideable motorcycle.
Each engine features billet cases, billet cylinders and billet rocker boxes. They employ 10 patentable applications, which result in approximately 20 percent more power and 20 percent less heat than any engine on the market today. The majority of the bike is CAD designed and cut from CNC machines.

Hillary Clinton and her driver were cruising along a country road one evening when an old cow loomed in front of the car. The driver tried to avoid it but couldn’t – the old cow was killed.
Hillary told her driver to go up to the farmhouse and explain to the owners what happened. She stayed in the car making phone calls to lobbyists.
About an hour later, the driver staggered back to the car with his clothes in disarray. He was holding a half empty bottle of expensive wine in one hand, an expensive Cuban cigar in the other and was smiling happily, smeared with lipstick.
“What happened?” asked Hillary.
“Well,” the driver replied, “the farmer gave me the cigar, his wife gave me the wine, and their beautiful twin daughters made mad passionate love to me.”
“My God, what did you tell them?” asked Hillary.
The driver replied: “I said, I’m Hillary Clinton’s driver, and I just killed the old cow.”

If you notice I am being a bit quiet at the moment it’s because I am heavily involved in organizing a Sydney Protest ride about Lane Filtering (Splitting lanes) being made a crime. Check the antics of some of the car drivers (below), incredible!
In Sydney guys who commute every day to work in heavy traffic, and mobike couriers, call themselves Bladerunners by the way.
How this for a t-shirt idea: Lane Filtering is NOT a crime! I am kinda proud of that one.

The MRAA has written to the Chief Commissioner of Police, Ms Christine Nixon to complain about the appalling behavior of several car drivers, captured by a Channel 7 News Crew during the recent “Ride to Rule” on Wednesday 25th January. The police have been requested to review video evidence of dangerous driving and road rage and take appropriate action against the offending car drivers.
The behaviour involved tailgating riders at speed, deliberately aggressive overtaking and in two cases, speeding down the emergency lane and then nearly taking out a group of riders. Riders concerned were traveling at the normal traffic speeds, remaining in their lanes and not taking advantage of the innate characteristics of motorcycles to move quickly and safely through traffic, precisely as recommended by the National Transport Commission’s changes to the Australian Road Rules.
The President of the MRAA, Mr Dale Maggs, expressed his concern that riders will become targets for road rage by riding in the manner proposed by changes to the Australian Road Regulations. He stated that the behaviour of car drivers clearly demonstrated the inherent danger when a motorcycle is treated the same way as a car.
“It shows how foolish these proposed changes are” said Mr Maggs. “It is a matter of serious concern that the riding style to be forced on motorcyclists by these proposed changes will lead to increased road rage and aggression towards motorcyclists”. “The purpose of the ride was to demonstrate the increase in congestion that can occur by attempting to treat motorcycles in the same manner as cars. It is beyond comprehension that any reasonable person could insist on enforcing a regulation which both increases congestion and diminishes rider safety”.
Mr Maggs went on to state that not only motorcycle organisations, but also motoring organisations such as the RACV, NRMA and VACC have opposed these proposed changes.

CODY, Wyo. (AP) — Local merchants want to make sure Cody is still perceived as biker-friendly after Gov. Dave Freudenthal announced increased funding for Park County law enforcement during a planned Hells Angels rally this summer.
Cody Chamber of Commerce executive director Gene Bryan said the arrival of an estimated 500 to 1,200 bikers for the Hells Angels 2006 World Run, schedule for July 26-30, could boost the local economy.
“I understand law enforcement wanting to make sure they’re prepared for anything,” said Brad Constantine, owner of the Beartooth Inn. “But people shouldn’t scrutinize every person that rides a motorcycle just because of an image or namesake.”
Earlier this week, Freudenthal directed Attorney General Pat Crank to provide at least $250,000, as well as any necessary support from the Division of Criminal Investigation, to Park County law enforcement agencies. Most of that money is likely to be spent on extra police presence and overtime hours, Park County Sheriff Scott Steward said. Money would also be spent on additional emergency service and first-response personnel.
Bryan said people should be careful not to stereotype bikers — or anyone else — based simply on their image.
“There are certain phrases in this world that you say and you automatically have a perception, and I would put the Hells Angels in that category,” Bryan said.
“But I would hope that all of us here don’t rush to judgment. It’s not a group we would have invited, nor did we. But if they are in fact coming, we want to do everything we can to assure people we’ll make them feel welcome.”

I’ve been up and down to many roads my friend to create the Chariot-R-Trike like a Conquest. My design markets many different human conditions and will fill the needs of most mankind dreams and desires.
1. Start with overkill to our smart technology. Go beyond what will work for you .
2. Payload of 1000 lbs of one 700 lb for one person or a family of three.
3. I have diabetes and can’t sit in the sun very long with out complications , so the roof is the answer. The first time I went out west to South Dakota it was 112 degrees in the sun. I came close to having a heat stroke from not being in the shade.
4. The side ramp concept is best for The Chariot-R-Trike for easy access to the side walk or the road, when ramps are up position they serve as gates to insure safety from tumbling out if a crash occurs. Leaving plenty of cargo space and placement in trunk area, battereies, air tanks, fluid tanks, spare tire, etc.
–RRR Ransom Massachusetts motorcyclists may have the choice of riding without a helmet as soon as this summer. That’s if a new bill passes through the state Senate next month. The Massachusetts Motorcycle Association has announced that a new piece of legislation, which would make helmets optional, is scheduled to go before the Senate for a vote on Feb. 1. However, the helmet option won’t be available to just anybody. The bill allows helmet choice to adult riders with at least six years of experience or those who take the approved rider education course and have private health insurance or $50,000 in optional medical coverage. One instance I vividly remember was our neighbor to the north, Maryland. Raids on Motorcycle Safety funds have become common across the country. The latest here in West Virginia is particularly perplexing because our motorcyclists governor is being hoodwinked by bureaucrats into thinking it’s OK to move the fund to an interest bearing account along with several general fund accounts. An interest bearing account would be a sound move, but not when tied to other accounts that are part of the general fund. That makes it too hard for us to get an accounting of where the fund actually stands. The contact for the governor is on the congress.org website. click here A list of Finance Committee member addresses for both houses are below the following message. West Virginia people also write your representatives in both houses. It’s time to jam up their e-mail system. It gets results fast! To our friends out of state; Copy & Paste this letter if you like, or personalize it. The main thing is to show that this has become a national issue, so forward this to any, and all motorcycle lists, and news outlets that you can. –Hawk WHERE’S THE SEX?–The cops are forcing bikers to be outlaws again. Loud pipes save lives, increase awareness and create a buffer between our fragile selves and unwitting drivers with cell phones and stereos blaring in their ears. We parked the bikes and walked to a couple of local Wilmas bars. The foc’c’sle Bar is as old as Wilmington. The bartender was shorter than the counter’s edge and her boobs were as wide. Another young Hispanic damsel moved efficiently behind the bar, stocking bottles and ignoring customers. She had the look of a hot Spanish armada and when I commented on her nasty deamenor she refused to reply, so we left and took our business to the newest bar on the block. It’s call Sis’s, Stars in the Sky, and the joint is smaller that a handful of phone booths bolted together. It’s set back behind a heavily armored fence. I’m not sure what to make of it. Over Jacks we discussed mad runs from the headquarters into Sis’s compound for drinks, in the future. We could hide our rides behind the patio walls. We could see how many riders survive the police gauntlet to the bar. Then we’ll make the run home to the headquarters and I’m sure the survivors will go to jail for DUIs. We just wanna ride free, right? What’s so bad about that? Ride forever, –Bandit
