FEMA officials, influenced by a Biden administration executive order on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), have shifted their focus towards addressing the unique needs of underserved communities during emergencies.
Critics argue that this shift may undermine FEMA’s ability to efficiently respond to disasters, as political ideology may be prioritized over immediate relief efforts for the majority.
The video of the meeting sparked backlash on social media, with some accusing FEMA of letting ideology interfere with disaster preparedness and response.
