Brad Baker and Davis Fisher will join he Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle Factory Team for this year’s AMA Pro Harley-Davidson GNC1 presented by Vance & Hines flat track series. Baker and Davis, both young, hard-charging and hungry for victory, will compete in all GNC1 Twins races, beginning with the Circuit of the Americas half-mile in Austin, Texas, on April 9.
“This will be the first season since 2006 that the Harley-Davidson Factory Team has fielded two riders,” said Harley-Davidson Racing Manager Kris Schoonover. “We are excited to have the opportunity to bring an emerging talent like Davis Fisher up to the GNC1 series to ride alongside a proven champion in Brad Baker.”
Brad “The Bullet” Baker, the 2013 AMA Pro Grand National Champion, returns for his third full season with the Harley-Davidson Factory Team. The 23-year-old rider from Dryad, Wash., finished eighth in GNC1 points in 2015 while missing four races due to injury. Baker won the AMA Pro Singles Championship in 2009 before moving up to the Expert Twins class and winning the 2011 AMA Pro Flat Track Expert Rookie of the Year Award.
Davis Fisher advances to the 2016 GNC1 series following two impressive seasons racing in the AMA Pro GNC2 class. Riding for Parkinson Brothers Racing, Fisher won the 2015 GNC2 championship, dominating the series with four event wins and five second-place results to clinch his first national title with two races left on the schedule. In 2014, Fisher finished second in GNC2, missing that championship by a single point. Fisher is 18 years old and began racing in 2005. Davis Fisher is the son of flat track racer Rex Fisher, former AMA national No. 12 and 2006 AMA Vet/Senior Dirt Tracker of the Year. Davis Fisher lives in Warren, Ore.
