BIKERNET SUNDAY POST – Painted Leather, Custom Oil Filters, Dropping Sporties and More.

lead

On The Road Again…Bandit took a flight out to Utah yesterday with my son Kraig to pick up a basketcase 1940 WLD. (Thanks Tom!) They rented a truck and are probably in Barstow as I write this, getting closer to home. I was excited at the idea of restoring a little 45, however, Bandit has some Frankenstein notion of mixing it with a jap bike and breaking a Bonneville record. I’m crushed, but I’ll get over it.

Bandit and Kraig stopped in Mesquite, NV for the night at the Oasis Hotel Casino. Apparently Kraig was feeling his young oats (he’s 23) and stayed out pretty late drinking. This morning instead of being co-pilot, he’s sleeping it off in the passenger seat of a Hertz truck. Do we ever learn?

Enjoy the Sunday Post and check back again later; when Bandit gets home he’s gonna add a few more things. –Layla

Things To Do

Thought you could put this on your list of ‘things to do’ when you finally get to the Grand Canyon. I must say – my heart is beating ’10 to the dozen’ just thinking about it! However, if I was there ~ I think I’d have to take the walk !!

See Ya,

Who put her in here? It’s not Jack Daniels.

Bandit,I’m always checking out your site, always great tips. I’ve been riding a sporty since 97, till my sister just dumped it. Now I gotta excuse to put it in a hardtail frame. Just wanted to email you a photo of a chop I finally finished. Not bad for 9200 total cost.

Keep up the good site.

Bob T’s COBB Horn Cover

Hey, Here are some shots of my horn cover, a young guy I know did it for me, he is really good. Going to do an article on him, maybe it will drum up work for him.

I say we protest, “Save the flatty”. Who ever heard of putting the components of a WLD on a jap frame? Are you with me?!?!?

I didn’t think so. You guys are probably thinking it’ll be a pretty cool project, aren’t you? Bastards, cripple old biker bastards, just like Bob T.

I’m just messing with you. Anyway, check back a little later cause when Bandit gets home he will be adding more stuff to the Post. I’m outta here for a little Christmas shopping and fresh air. Make sure you check out our Bikernet Giftshop area; we’ve been adding some pretty cool stuff and theres only 21 days left till Christmas. Yikes!
