BIKERNET SUNDAY POST – IT’S COLD OUT, STAY INSIDE AND READ!

OLD ads

Hey,

Merry Merry, goddamnit. I’m still scrambling to catch up since Vegas, and we’re getting there. I hear rumors that biz is down, but I can’t see it. Just this weekend in Southern California there were too many events to attend: Moon Eyes Christmas show at Irwindale, Cycle World Show in Long Beach, Victory Launch and today Century Cycles Christmas party and David Mann Show in Ventura. The Long Beach show was the biggest event in three years. They’ve spread out all over the Convention Center and it was jammed right up to closing.

I did a bit on Rogue’s birthday, but the shots keep rolling in. Rogue is a lifelong friend and a major Bikernet supporter and contributor. He just turned 69 and he’s a testiment to Florida sun and Jack Daniels. All the best, Brother.

Here’s my hot Cycle World Show by Advanstar find. I’ve been looking for Deer Skin gauntlet gloves for years. We were just about to leave the show when I stumbled into Lee Parks Design booth and spotted the most bitchen gloves on the planet. I’ve searched high and low for soft gloves for long arms without luck.

elksports_call-outs_web580

Lee’s glove cost more because they’re built here in the US and they’re made tough with Elk and deer skins and pads in the right spots. He would know.

He teaches riding courses and I’m going to take one in February (Totalcontroltraining.net). I’ll bring a report back. I’m not kidding. His gloves made my day: www.leeparksdesign.com.

Let’s hit the news:

f6f-composite

BAKER HOT PRODUCT OF THE WEEK– I feel the pressure to release info on the F6F for the 2007 H-D’s so I’m deploying this news right now. People are hungry for this thing and it’s not even an entire transmission?! It’s merely an upgrade. I’ve had one guy stop the presses on a print job so he could squeeze the F6F onto it.

I don’t know why the demand is so intense? Maybe because it’s probably one of the first products for the ’07 bikes all together, or if it is because the whirring noise in 5th gear is actually that annoying. Can you tell me? I’m curious. So, due to the amount of inquisition on this – the news is officially released right now! Here’s the story:

Loud fifth gear is a very common complaint with stock factory Six-Speeds. So BAKER DRIVETRAIN has stepped forward with an upgrade that will surely make your stock transmission sound so quiet that you’ll think BAKER built the whole dang thing! Our kit features helical cut diamond ground gears, wider bearings, a 1/8″ thick bearing retainer plate, and a billet aluminum bearing door. All this combines to give you the advantage of a quieter 5th gear, and no clutch lever walking.

Additional features that the F6F offer are:

No 5th gear whine
Reduces drivetrain lash in 5th gear
12 pt. ARP fasteners
Billet aluminum bearing door – chromed
Quiet diamond ground gears
Heavy duty bearings
No wimpy snap rings
Direct bolt in assembly
Recal box – INCLUDED!

Available for the 2006 Dyna, and all 2007 H-D models (excluding Sportster and V-Rod) with the 6 speed transmission.

All that wrapped up with BAKER’s dependable and unbeatable 2 year warranty; and just in time, too! The release date on these must have kits is Christmas 2006!

The Wicked is a one-of-a-kind, low, long and mean chopper built with an ideal rake and trail that delivers superior handling. Our band is lead by Mike Salyer, VP of Production. The Hellbound Girls follow the band and get the party started. We thrive on partying, riding and wet t-shirt contests. At Hellbound we don?t have a party, we are the party.”

MYSTERY CONTINUES– My name is Luc Rahier, best known in the French biker world as “the Leader”. Biker from 1973, I live in the East of France near Strasbourg, and I’m also proud President of the Eurocorps Motorcycle Team since more than 10 years.

I’m trying to answer a quiz for a French motorcycling magazine, and I don’t find any correct answer in the numerous document in my possession neither on the Net. I noticed by reading you that you must be a specialist of the Harley but also that you’re one of the lucky who had the privilege to talk with Mr Willie G. Davidson himself.

So, I hope that it will be easy for you to answer ? The quiz is the type “multiple choise” The question is the following : “What is the signification of the “G” in the name of Willie G. Davidson ?”

Proposals are the following : George, Godfrey, Gustav or Geoff.

Hope you’re going to be kind enough to answer me.

choppers only 1

From Darren from the Choppers Only Show in Hawaii.

WHO’S THE BOSS– Everybody on earth dies and goes to heaven. (Don’t ask why or how, it just happens…)

God comes and says, “I want the men to make two lines. One line for the men that dominated their women on earth and the other line for the men that were dominated by their women. Also, I want all the women to go with St. Peter.”

With that said and done, the next time God looked, the women are gone and there are two lines. The line of the men that were dominated by their women was 100 miles long, and in the line of men that dominated their women, there was only one man.

God got mad and said, “You men should be ashamed of yourselves. I created you in my image and you were all whipped by your mates. Look at the only one of my sons that stood up and made me proud. Learn from him! Tell them my son, how did you manage to be the only one in this line?”

And the man replied, “I don’t know, my wife told me to stand here.”
