  2007 Firefighter Harley Ultra travels from Texas to Serbia for Brotherhood. By Wild Bill. In May of 2012 even though it was very chilly at 5 AM I was riding my ‘07 Firefighter Harley Ultra to work for a typical 24 hour shift. The cold ride to work was worth it for the beautiful ride home after shift! During training that day I was very significantly injured – retired on permanent disability from on the job injury – and had to be brought home by ambulance. Long story short, I was robbed of my ability to ride, at least at that time and certainly not atop a heavy Ultra. As a result my bike sat outside for some time and later even longer sat in my basement! CLICK here to read…

Gettysburg Bike Week, 2014

  Rocking the Battlefields. Thursday night Tesla rocked the battlefields in Gettysburg. Following an excellent day of riding and visiting the band played for over an hour without a break. Jeff Keith can belt out the songs and was truly excited to be at the rally. His energy is contagious and he really lights up the stage. Ride Free, Kiwi Ross

We’re relaying here a message from ‘Kiwi’ Mike Thomas, posted today on the Kiwi Indian Facebook page. If you’re familiar with the motorcycle industry and have attended events, you will probably know about Kiwi Indian and what a great bunch of people they are. We’re gutted to learn that Mike Thomas’ son Ross has passed on. Our most sincere condolences go out to the Thomas family. Kiwi Family, Our hearts are broken as we mourn the loss of our 20 year old son, “Kiwi Ross”. He was involved in a motorcycle accident last night. He was wearing his helmet, but unfortunately did not survive. Please allow our family time to grieve and some privacy at this time. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Harley-Davidson Publishes 2014 Second Quarter Financials

Harley-Davidson, Inc. (NYSE: HOG) second-quarter 2014 diluted earnings per share of $1.62 grew 33.9 percent on higher motorcycle shipments and continued improvement in operating efficiencies, compared to the year-ago period. Second-quarter net income was $354.2 million on consolidated revenue of $2.00 billion, compared to net income of $271.7 million in the year-ago period on consolidated revenue of $1.79 billion. Through six months, Harley-Davidson 2014 net income was $620.1 million on consolidated revenue of $3.73 billion, compared to six-month 2013 net income of $495.9 million on consolidated revenue of $3.37 billion. Six-month 2014 diluted earnings per share were $2.82, up 28.2 percent from EPS of $2.20 in the year-ago period. “Harley-Davidson’s second-quarter results reflect the financial strength of the Company and brand, including the benefits of continuous improvement throughout our operation,” said Harley-Davidson, Inc.
