I see Jack Daniels ads everywhere. I got a lift to pick up my blacked out Road King from Larry Settle’s shop in Harbor city. That’s less than two stinkin’ miles from our Wilmington ghetto headquarters and there’s two sky-high Jack Daniels billboards along the streets leading home. Are they running banners on Bikernet? Hell no. So why the hell would I run a feature on an official production chopper built for Jack Daniels? It’s been my drink for 35 years, maybe that’s why. It got me through three divorces and four psycho broads. On the other hand it got me into three fist fights and my first knock out. Wait, I hit that guy with a fifth of Quervo Gold.

It kept me warm in front of run bonfires for years. I wonder if it was the whiskey or the fire? I drank it straight then. I remember years ago at Easyriders when we tried to lure liquor companies to advertise with us. We used broads and freight trains but it didn’t work. So I don’t suspect they’ll advertise on a website that’s been writing about drinkin’ Jack for ten years. Ah, but what the hell, Big Mike built these bikes for the Jack Headquarters in Tennessee, and he’s cool. They’re not available to the public, not yet, but BMC bikes built on the same Hooligan platform are ready for shipment. Hell, you could have any drink you like painted on the tanks from Coors Lite to Capt. Morgan Rum. I kinda like the notion for Capt. Morgan.

Oh, suppose I’ll feature these bikes. The guys at Easyriders featured the black one in the December Issue, so it must be okay for Bikernet. Watch for it. Big Mike takes a lot of pride in the fact that he’s the only manufacturer ever called by the JD factory to build a series of choppers. They commissioned a race care and decided they needed a motorcycle likeness for fill out the vehicle line-up. Mike built four, then the factory ordered five more. Not bad. We featured a Jack bike that made a tour across the country with the Jack apparel licensee. That bike was built by Deacon in Hawaii. It’s still archived with our bike features.

Mike also built a Dickies bike for the FORD worker of the year. A lucky lady in New Orleans won it. These bikes have class, and old school streetable style. This guy is a biker to the bone. His brother is a biker, and Mike works hard at keeping him out of jail. His bikes are solid, simple rideable choppers with traditional biker class. I like the classic wishbone frame, the pinstriped rims, powder-coated to match the whiskey theme. I even think the whitewalls are cool on the Black and White Jack model, and I hate white walls.

The black model without the sprung seat or highbars was featured in Easyriders, but we’re not limited with magazine page restrictions, so we can deliver both bikes, the Dickie bike and a shot of the massive, brand new BMC factory. Not bad for three low-lifes and four broads in the Wilmington web site.

These bikes are 1910 reproductions. The origins of the bikes started ten years ago with Mike Hanlon. Mike is a master mold maker, machinist, and overall motorcycle enthusiast.

Mike became fascinated with the unbelievable quality and tolerances of the casting that was taken for granted as standard practice a hundred years ago. As a result for his passion for motorcycles, Mike developed quite possibly the most authentic vintage motorcycles ever to be reproduced.

The motorcycles feature era correct and functional sandcast 440 cc four stroke gravity intake valve engines with cast iron nickel plated cylinder and bronze carburetors.

The motorcycles also feature authentic white button tread tires, hand made full spring leather seats, and leather lined drive pulleys with 99 inch long thick leather drive belts. These bikes are sold as display pieces and truly are of museum quality. We offer both the Classic Street Bike and the Board Track Racing Bike. CLASSIC STREET BIKE MODEL

These amazing reproductions are truly of museum quality. From the era correct and functional sand cast engine to the white button tread tires, it speaks of the early days around the turn of the century. Note the hand made full spring leather seat, the leather lined drive pulleys and 99 inch long drive belt. The cast muffler features a period modern exhaust cut out door that is in its day was kept closed in town areas as not to scare the horses.

BOARDTRACK BIKE

We spoke to Mike. He is a master mold maker, machinist, and all around motorcycle enthusiast. He's owned MeanStreets products, manufacturing front ends for OCC, Big Dog, and Bourget for 15 years. Nine years ago he started tinkering with the Timeless machines.

“I wanted to build that engine,” He said. Then when the board track craze hit he got serious, about three years ago. He has up to 50 sets of every component in stock. He made his own clincher rims, worked with a company on developing the tires. “We didn't modify, but made exact duplicates. You can take parts off this bike and bolt them directly into a vintage chassis.” The bikes are sold as kits in primer, complete, or you can purchase individual components.

These motorcycles scream authenticity from the many brass polished accents, the authentic white button tread tires, the thick leather belt drive and the numerous cast components originals. These collectible masterpieces are now available to the public in an affordable price range.
