Hey,
Oh hell’s bells, Daytona is just around the corner. I’m on the brink of writing another Cantina episode and I have some wild options. One of the local guys met a girl, dated her for a month, then suddenly she announced—she’s pregnant.
I once thought that sex was the best thing in the world, but goddammit it leads to so many problems, diseases, addictions, financial issues, and downright trouble. He fights with this broad almost daily. I asked the other day, “Would you still date her if she wasn’t pregnant?”
So be careful in Daytona, the shapely, slithering, temptations are everywhere.
Let’s hit the news.

MOTORCYCLE LIGHTING IN VIRGINIA–
Virginia has adopted the Illinois statute for Auxiliary lighting on motorcycles. The bill has passed the House and has been referred to the Senate Transportation Committee where the chairman is a vocal opponent against the bill.
Can you tell me what states have this law? Does anyone have a limit to how many pods they can have on their bike written into their code? What was the biggest issue you had getting yours passed? How did you work passed the issue that none of these lights are approves by SAE or any other approval agency?
When I am done, I will turn all the state codes into a document to keep here in the office that I can send out whenever someone needs it.

THE MEDICAL DISTINCTION BETWEEN “GUTS” AND “BALLS”
We’ve heard colleagues referring to people with “Guts”, or with “Balls”. Do they, however, know the difference between them?
Here’s the official distinction; straight from the British Medical Journal: Volume 323; page 295.
GUTS – It is arriving home late, after a night out with the lads, being met by your wife with a broom, and having the “Guts” too ask: “Are you still cleaning, or are you flying somewhere?”
BALLS – It is coming home late after a night out with the lads, smelling of perfume and beer, lipstick on your collar, slapping your wife on the bum and having the “Balls” to say: ‘You’re next, Chubby.’
I trust this clears up any confusion.
Medically speaking, there is no difference in outcome; both are fatal…

ORANGE COUNTY CHOPPERS DIGS FOR SALE– on the auction block is home to Orange County Choppers.
At 61,305 square feet, the building is a behemoth. OCC had it built for $12 million (U.S.) back when choppers were all the rage. Since then, the popularity of the style has waned and OCC has seen its fortunes fall, having lost control of the property in 2011 after failing to pay the mortgage. However, they remain tenants and recently signed a 10-year lease renting out about 60 percent of the building.
Want to have the boys of OCC as tenants? The property at 14 Crossroads Court in Newburgh, New York, is slated for auction on March 7 and bidding starts at a measly $900,000 (U.S.). Click here for more details.

NRA BULLSHIT REPORT OF THE WEEK– Accident Victim, Corrections Officer Treated to “New Jersey Justice” for “Illegal” Firearm.
What started out as a pleasant evening with his wife soon devolved into a nightmare for Pennsylvania Department of Corrections Sergeant Raymond Hughes, when his safety, career, and freedom were all jeopardized by New Jersey’s draconian suppression of Second Amendment rights.
It all started in January when Hughes and his wife traveled to Atlantic City for an evening concert and dinner. Besides being a 13-year law enforcement veteran, Hughes is also the holder of a valid Pennsylvania concealed carry permit. Hughes told NRA News that he had been in a hurry when leaving that day and had left both his corrections uniform and legally-owned handgun in his vehicle. In a same world, that should not have been an issue. In New Jersey, however, it was nearly enough to ruin an honest man’s life.
As Hughes was driving home with his wife, the intoxicated driver of another vehicle collided with them, causing an accident that resulted in injuries to both him and his wife and necessitated his transport to a hospital. One of the officers who responded to the scene saw stickers on Hughes’s vehicle that identified him as a corrections officer and asked Hughes if he had a firearm with him. Hughes responded that he did and also informed the officer of his Pennsylvania concealed carry permit. The officer said he would secure the firearm and uniform while Hughes was in the ambulance. Hughes said the officer told him that the police department would verify his employment and that he could retrieve his belongings later by coming to the police station with his work ID.
Instead, he was contacted by the officer five days later and told that he was being charged with illegal carrying of a firearm, a Class 2 felony. New Jersey does not recognize Pennsylvania concealed carry permits, and Pennsylvania law does not clearly confer upon corrections officers the necessary statutory “arrest” powers to qualify for the Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act. According to Hughes, the officer said he did not want to charge him but was directed to do so by the county prosecutor’s office.
Hughes was subsequently suspended from his job, and had to establish an online fundraising account to sustain him and his family and to help defray his legal expenses. Facing 3 ½ to 10 years in jail, Hughes retained the services of Evan Nappen, a prominent New Jersey attorney who specializes in firearm-related matters. Ironically, according to Nappen, the drunk driver who hit Hughes’s vehicle faces only a Class 4 misdemeanor charge.
This week came the welcome news that Gloucester County Prosecutor Sean Dalton has decided not to proceed with the case. An article in the San Diego Union Tribune quoted Mr. Dalton as stating, “In this particular case, Mr. Hughes was the victim of a crime prior to any violation of New Jersey gun law,” and continuing the prosecution would be inappropriate.
Hughes’s case has a number of parallels to that of Shaneen Allen, a Philadelphia nurse and mother who also faced felony charges when she disclosed to police officers during a traffic stop that she had a firearm in her vehicle. Ms. Allen mistakenly thought that her Pennsylvania concealed carry permit would be recognized in New Jersey. Despite the sympathetic circumstances of her case, the Atlantic County Prosecutor initially refused to let her participate in a pretrial diversion program available in New Jersey that offers non-serious offenders a chance to avoid conviction after a period of supervised “rehabilitation.”
After a national outcry, Acting New Jersey Attorney General John Hoffman revised state policy regarding the program’s eligibility criteria for those charged with certain technical firearm offenses. Ultimately, Ms. Allen was pardoned by New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.
Unfortunately, numerous other law-abiding gun owners are ensnared each year while traveling by the unthinking application of overly-restrictive firearms laws. For many, life is never the same. This is why NRA is working with our allies in Congress to enact interstate right to carry reciprocity legislation.
This legislation would require states to recognize each other’s concealed carry permits, much like they do driver’s licenses, allowing permit holders to exercise their rights in any state they choose to visit. The Senate version, S.498, is sponsored by Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) and is called the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2015. There are also three different versions of this legislation pending in the House, H.R.923, H.R.986, and H.R.402.
NRA looks forward to the day when miscarriages of justice like these and the scores of others that go unreported will be averted by a fair and coherent approach to interstate reciprocity.

THE WEEKEND AUSTRALIAN CLUB REPORT– South Australia’s top cop says anti-biker laws a success.
South Australian ‘declared’ bikers are meeting secretly in private homes as the number of members charged with offences plummets, state Police Commissioner Grant Stevens has told a Parliamentary committee.
Mr Stevens, who took over as Commissioner in July last year, told the State Parliament’s Crime and Public Integrity Policy Committee he believed tough new serious and organized crime laws were helping curtail violence and other illegal activity by bikers.
Under the laws, it is an offence for more than two declared club members to associate in public, while 10 former clubhouses have been shut down, Stevens said.
“We do know that OMCG (outlaw motorcycle gangs) members continue to meet at private premises, and we expected that,” he said. “We never thought that these laws would completely eradicate OMCG members from taking part in criminal activities.”
Stevens said there had also been a drop in the number of bikers being charged with offences.
“On anecdotal experience, there is an absence of judicial processes against club members, which can be seen as a success,” he said.
The Commissioner said the laws had stopped annual club runs and other club events which he said had previously been a financial drain on SA Police resources.
Stevens claimed stamping out club runs had resulted in less intimidation in towns they visited.
“Small communities are no longer subject to 15 or 20 OMCG members rolling into town and taking over for as long as they please,” he said.
The committee heard that a group of bikers travelling through the state from Western Australia to Victoria were forced to ride half an hour apart from each other to avoid committing an offence.
Stevens claimed the Finks motorcycle club had also rescheduled their national run to bypass South Australia since the laws came into effect.
Stevens said the laws had also led to a reduction in violence between rival clubs in public places, but added clubs were still heavily involved in the drug trade, prostitution and blackmail and intimidation.
He said police had learned individual club members had left South Australia for interstate to avoid being charged under the laws and that membership had declined.
“We have intelligence to say that membership has reduced, (but) I would be cautious to attribute that to the new laws,” Stevens said.
The committee also heard that police were increasing their focus on drugs being imported into Australia via the internet.
Assistant Commissioner Linda Fellows said while motorcycle clubs were still involved in the manufacture and sale of drugs such as ice, more of the drug was being imported.
“Amphetamines are still produced locally but China has become an expansive marketplace … it is not taking over but it is certainly emerging,” Fellows said.

Bandidos
Comanchero
Descendants
Finks
Gypsy Jokers
Hells Angels
Mongols
Nomads

NRA ALERTS–Iowa: Five Pro-Gun Bills Pass House Floor Vote–
Today was a successful day for gun-owners in the The Hawkeye State. Five pro-gun bills passed the House of Representatives with bipartisan votes and will now go to the Senate for further consideration. Please contact your state Senator and politely urge them to SUPPORT these pro-gun bills. Also, please thank the House members who voted in support of your Second Amendment rights. Click the “Take Action” button below to contact your state Senator!
House File 2279, the Hearing Protection Act, would allow for the sale, use and possession of firearm suppressors in Iowa. Suppressors help increase accuracy by reducing felt recoil and shot “flinch.” Beginners to shooting sports adhere to a quicker learning curve on average because the muffled sound equates to increased focus and concentration on proper shooting mechanics. Most importantly, suppressors reduce shooters’ risk of hearing damage, which can occur when discharging a firearm without the proper hearing protection. In addition, suppressors can help reduce noise complaints at ranges, particularly in more densely populated areas. HF 2279 passed the House of Representatives with a 74-24 vote.
House File 2280, the Freedom Protection Act, goes directly to the heart of our cause and defends our Second Amendment Rights. HF 2280 would prohibit any state official, including the Governor, and government agency from confiscating or regulating the lawful possession, carrying, transfer, transportation and defensive use of firearms or ammunition during a state of emergency, like the actions that occurred in the wake of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, Louisiana. HF 2280 passed the House of Representatives with a 67-31 vote.
House File 2283, the Recreational Carry Bill, would allow for law-abiding citizens to carry a firearm while riding on an ATV or snowmobile. If an individual can lawfully own and possess a firearm, they should not have restrictions placed on their ability to exercise their fundamental right to self-defense outside of their home or in a recreational vehicle. House File 2283 passed the House of Representatives with a 78-20 vote.
House File 2281, the Youth Safety & Parental Rights Act, would correct a discrepancy in current law that prevents individuals under 14 years of age from learning gun safety and target shooting with a handgun under their parent’s permission and supervision. There is a great deal of interest in shooting sports among Iowa’s youth and this bill ensures that individuals under 14 years of age are taught the proper way to handle and discharge a firearm while under the discretion of a parent or guardian. HF 2281 passed the House of Representatives with a 62-36 vote.
House File 2314, Concealed Carry Permit Reform & Personal Information Protection, would provide clarification to Iowa’s current carry permit law and respect law-abiding gun owner’s right to privacy by keeping all personally identifiable information of applicants and holders of permits to carry weapons and permits to acquire pistols/revolvers, confidential. HF 2314 passed the House of Representatives with a 97-1 vote.
Once again, please click the “Take Action” button above to contact your state Senator in support of these important pro-gun bills! Also, please contact the state Representatives who voted in favor of these pro-gun measures and thank them for supporting the Second Amendment rights of all Iowans.

You guys really sound like you can help me, I had no idea the different options on building an Evo. I just bought my first Harley. I waited 5 months to get my title. It’s all most spring so I’m taking it in to get it rebuilt.
I’ve dabbed up about 3 grand and man I don’t know the best way to get what I want, which is a rigid bobber, and I want something first and foremost, dependable.
Second is mid range power: I do a lot of running and gobbling around town with all day runs on the weekends. I’ve all ready got a 2 in 1 exhaust high flow air filter, so it’s all motor work, if you guys could help I would be forever grateful

The options are incredible. Either bring your bike to Long Beach and Bennett’s Performance, or take it to Two-Wheelers in Denver, or Departure Bike Works in Richmond, VA. You need to find a shop you trust. The formulas are many, but I like to stay with the stock lower end, have Branch rebuild the heads, add a Andrews cam, a carb like Mikuni or S&S, and an oil cooler and you’re good to go.

“Late again!” the third-grade teacher sternly said to little Johnny.
“It ain’t my fault this time, Miss Russell. You can blame this ‘un on my Daddy.
The reason I’m three hours late is my Daddy sleeps naked!”
Now, Miss Russell had taught grammar school for 30-some-odd years.
Despite her mounting fears, she asked little Johnny what he meant by that.
Full of grins and mischief, and in the flower of his youth, little Johnny and trouble were old friends,…… but he always told her the truth.
“You see, Miss Russell, out at the farm we got this here low down fox.
The last few nights, he done ate six hens.
Last night, when Daddy heard a noise out in the chicken pen, he grabbed his double barreled shot gun and said to my Ma, “That fox is back again… I’m a gonna git him!”
“Stay back,” Daddy whispered to all us kids!
“My Daddy was naked as a jaybird — no boots, no pants, no shirt! To the hen house he crawled, just like an Injun on the snoop.
Then, he stuck that double-barreled 12-gauge shotgun through the window of the coop.
As he stared into the darkness, with a fox on his mind, our old hound dog, Rip, had done
gone and woke up and comes sneaking up behind Daddy.
Then, as we all looked on, plumb helpless, old Rip done went and stuck his cold nose
in my Daddy’s crack!”
“Miss Russell, we all been pluckin’ chickens since three o’clock this mornin!”

COMMUNICATIONS ARE KEY— I’m not kidding. It’s probably one of the most effective means of success in our world. I was about to burn through maybe a week to ten days driving to Houston and back to pick up our Salt Torpedo parts and hall them to Carson City, to the Paughco factory to have the frame built.
I called Rick Krost about sharing the driving privileges and he said screw that, go to UShip.com and put in the info. Shippers will pick it up and move it quick. If I didn’t pick up the phone and call Rick…
I’ve got to hit a surprise birthday party across down at Sugar Bear’s. Time to peel.
