I knew Kevin and Mona Alsop when their primary business was the Chopper-in-a-Box, build-it-yourself kits. Buyers ordered them by the dozen and actually built ‘em themselves. I thought that was so cool. Big Bear Choppers pioneered that concept. Like everyone else they were hard hit by the economy, but now they're back in a big way.

The Boston Transportation Department is expanding the city's scooter and motorcycle parking program to several streets in Boston's Financial District.
Fifteen parking slots will soon provide those who drive scooters and motorcycles into the area with metered on-street parking spaces. The slots will be patterned after the 39 parking slots installed on Newbury and Boylston Streets in the Back Bay in 2010.
