Most of the Bikernet Staff are at The V-Twin Expo which affords dealers the chance to see what’s on the new-product horizon for 2015 and get a feeling for the custom vibe. It rocked the Cincinnati Convention Center the whole weekend.
Bandit managed to sneak away from the show for a minute and sent this message:
The show is rocking! I spoke to Paughco they’re anxious to see you and start the rebuild on the 5-Ball ™ Bagger. Kuryakin is growing taking on new lines. More companies are building exhaust including S&S and zippers.
There’s a very positive vibe throughout the show.

Compass Expeditions is happy to announce that BMW F800GS, R1200GS and a lowered suspension model F700GS have been added to the fleet of F700GS motorcycles that Compass Expeditions own in South America.
“As one of the only International Motorcycle Tour companies that own their own motorbikes in South America we felt that it was important to offer a variety of bike sizes for our clients,” said Mick McDonald, founder of Compass, “For the taller riders the F800GS with its much taller seat height works really well and handles the dirt sections comfortably. For those wishing for a bit more power or perhaps riding 2 UP we have the R1200GS with comfortable seating for a pillion. The lowered suspension F700GS is especially popular with female riders but is available for anyone with its lower 765 mm seat height”.
The new larger bikes are available at an upgrade price on request for all 2015 and 2016 South America tours and are booking out fast.

Bikernet Bad Joke Department is Open:
I pulled into the crowded parking lot at the local shopping center and rolled down the car windows to make sure my Labrador Retriever Pup had fresh air. She was stretched full-out on the back seat and I wanted to impress upon her that she must remain there. I walked to the curb backward, pointing my finger at the car and saying emphatically, “Now you stay. Do you hear me?” “Stay! Stay!” The driver of a nearby car, a pretty young blonde, gave me a strange look and said, “Why don’t you put it in Park?”
DRIVER IS PULLED OVER “I’m not going to cite you,” said the officer. “I just wanted to warn you that the reflector on the back of your buggy is broken and it could be dangerous.” “I thank thee,” replied the Amish lady. “I shall have my husband repair it as soon as I return home.”
“Also,” said the officer, “I noticed one of your horse reins is wrapped around his testicles. Some people might consider that cruelty to animals, so you should have your husband check that too.”
“Again I thank thee. I shall have my husband check this when I get home.” True to her word, when the Amish lady got home, she told her husband about the broken reflector. He said he would put a new one immediately.
“Also,” said the Amish woman, “the policeman said there was something wrong with the emergency brake.”

Los Angeles, February 4, 2015 / PR Newswire / — WGN America’s gritty docudrama“Outlaw Country” gears up for its world premiere, Tuesday, February 24 (10:00 p.m. ET/9:00 p.m. CT), with a multi-platform rollout including the debut of the behind-the-scenes special “Outlaw Country: Bad Blood” on WGN America and Tribune Broadcasting stations nationwide; release of urban cowboy single “Good Ol’ Boys” (“Outlaw Remix,” inspired by “The Dukes of Hazzard” theme) from chart-topping artist “The Maverick” Mikel Knight; and sponsorship of “Outlaw Country” EasyRiders 2015 Bikeshow Tour. WGN America’s one-hour unscripted series “Outlaw Country” provides an unprecedented look at a small town under siege in a real-life ride-along with a streetcrew and the elite task force of law enforcement agents assembled to take them down. The world premiere of “Outlaw Country” is sponsored by Pepsi, GEICO, Wendy’s and DirecTV.
Offering a pioneering look into the making of one of the most complex docuseries on television, WGN America unveils the behind-the-scenes special, “Outlaw Country: Bad Blood,” Thursday, February 12 (9:00 p.m. ET/8:00 p.m. CT) on WGN America. The special is set to air on Tribune stations across the country, including WPIX in New York on February 7, WGN in Chicago on February 8, as well as KTLA in Los Angeles on February 14. In addition to traditional documentary techniques, “Outlaw Country’s” storytelling is delivered through the use of drones and hidden cameras. The half-hour special provides a never-before-seen look into this creative approach and provides fans a raw and visceral viewing experience.
Amping up the premiere, WGN America is releasing the urban cowboy promotional single, “Good Ol’ Boys (Outlaw Remix),” a remix of the Waylon Jennings classic “The Dukes of Hazzard” theme, by the groundbreaking artist “The Maverick” Mikel Knight. In “Good Ol’ Boys,” the past and the present collide through a classic hook and story-driven lyrics over modern beats. The promotional single precedes the upcoming music video release.
The intense, original soundtrack for “Outlaw Country,” from noted composer/musician Blues Saraceno, delivers a raw and powerful score – one that fully embodies the edgy and divisive battle in this town under siege.
WGN America’s “Outlaw Country” is also revving up a sponsorship of the EasyRiders 2015 Bike Tour, billed as the biggest, baddest bike show in North America. Fans can experience the “Outlaw Country” lifestyle and receive series’ promotional items at upcoming tour stops, including Nashville, TN on February 7, where series’ executive producer Jason Hervey will be on hand for a fan meet-and-greet, and Columbus, OH on February 21-22.
In the one-hour docudrama “Outlaw Country,” producers were given unfettered access to both sides of the law to chronicle the clash between two sets of brothers in Buckner, Missouri: Mike and Steve Cook, the town’s Chief of Police and Buckner Criminal Task Force liaison, respectively, and John and Josh Monk, who maintain their innocence in the face of the Cooks’ allegations that they are behind the community’s recent surge in criminal activity.
“Outlaw Country” is executive produced by Eric Bischoff and Jason Hervey for Bischoff Hervey Entertainment Television (“The Devils Ride,” “Hardcore Pawn: Chicago”), alongside Bo Kaprill, Peter Karlin and Charles “Chuckie” Lynch. WGN America has ordered seven one-hour episodes.

And Yet More Bad Jokes – Will they ever end?
The day it all started was MARCH 6, 1836 On that fateful day, Davy Crockett woke up and rose from his bunk on the main floor of the Alamo and walked up to the observation post along the west wall of the fort. William B. Travis and Jim Bowie were already there, looking out over the top of the wall. He joined them. These three great men gazed at the hordes of Mexicans moving towards the Alamo. With a puzzled look on his face, Crockett turned to Bowie and said, “Jim, are we, by any chance, having any landscaping done today?”
Tagging Birds:
According to the Knight-Ridder News Service, the inscription on the metal bands used by the U.S. Department of the Interior to tag migratory birds has been changed. The bands used to bear the address of the Washington Biological Survey, abbreviated:
Wash. Biol. Surv.
Until the agency received the following letter from an Arkansas camper:
“Dear Sirs:
While camping last week I shot one of your birds. I think it was a crow. I followed the cooking instructions on the leg tag and I want to tell you it was horrible.”
The bands are now marked Fish and Wildlife Service.

Against HB 2607 Helmet Bill
Tourism in AZ is huge. There are European Fly and rides to Arizona and the four corners region states with 30 riders at a time coming in from California to go the Grand Canyon, Prescott and Sedona to enjoy the freedom to ride WITHOUT a helmet.
To enact a mandatory helmet laws not only takes our freedom as motorcycle riders away but will ruin the freedom loving motorcyclist into other states and not AZ. This in turn will hurt the bed and breakfast industry along with the food and beverage industry, retail, parks and recs and more.
Is this really what we want to accomplish. If so then we need to put helmets on people who drive autos that are convertibles in style. All commercial truck drivers should wear helmets and we can go on………..
